I think the older matte Elf palette is more similar to the Mario palette….the one before this reformulation. There are more dark browns in the first matte palette, with the black packaging. I have that palette and I think it’s pretty darn good for being a drugstore matte palette. 😊
To me it is beautiful but a little more dry and have to put in more work to blend! Still very affordable and nice tho!

Love a good dupe! One wish for the future…please do them earlier in the day for a wear test. Colors are similar, yes, but does Elf shadow have the staying power that Mario provides??? I use elf products mostly but haven’t been a big fan of their eye shadow palettes. Mostly because I don’t use shimmers.

I love a good dupe video too!!! Didn't mind the short video, enjoy them all!!!! I haven't caved yet and bought the Make Up by Mario palette but I think I'm gonna. I had decided to buy it last year during the holidays and waited just a bit too long and it was out of stock!!! This year I will not hesitate! I've actually loved all the Elf shadows I've tried.
I couldn’t really tell a difference and for the price point I’ll go with the more affordable one. I’d like to see more of these videos and can you do a video on the Nyx ultimate eyeshadow palette 🎨 that just came out. Please 🙏
I was looking at that too. The main thing holding me back is that I’ve never tried NYX shadows and for drugstore that palette is certainly not overly affordable.

I own that palette too. I think that palette is more similar to the Mario palette, than the new formulation palette

Hi Kelly about 5 years ago I bought a couple of pallets from Elf in black medal case with a mirror and the shades are similar it even has 2 dark browns like Mario's but I don't think they make it anymore but I love Elf anyway

I def agree , a lot of ppl cannot justify spending 50$ on an eye shadow palette. Now I also agree with you on the ELF palette that the 1st 4 or 5 shades areverylight and taking one of those out and putting a deeper brown in the ELF would have been amazing. Overall tho, I believe it is a dupe u can def mix some shades to make a color u want and the eyeshadow turned out pretty much the same on both sides! Thanks for another awesome video Kelly 💕🌹

Lash Step Matte About You, is an exact dupe for the Makeup by Mario palette as well! I got it at my Walmart for $9.98, it's all matte and same layout. Great formula! Loved this video tho!

Good to see you but we know your off on holiday yet again but Spain and France. Both palettes are similar but have some different shades. I really can't see the difference since you added a little bit of the lighter to front of your eye lid. But Elf's price point is very nice. Great video.👍❤️❗

I have a dupe for the mario one i think its by lash step the pallet is called matte about you im going to say its a closer dupe maybe check them out its around 15 bucks i think but it looks the same down to the packaging

I actually don’t mind short videos, I think 20 minutes is the sweet spot. Anything over 30 minutes is getting too long.
a dupe is not only in the same colors but the texture ,is elf 🇨🇦is also almost silky like Mario? no creasing after few hours and fallouts, you have to bave all the same in those categories to be a re dupe
Yoi should try blending the eyeshadow with the smaller brush, expecially with those more deep browns, so they blend better and outcome is more clean looking.. i have noticed that with my eyeshadow looks🤗

I like your videos, especially the dupes, but when you wave the products and brushes around it hurts my eyes because I'm trying to get a good look at the product or brush that you are using. Will have to pick up that Elf palette.
