I love the little dioramas for each trophy! For the death message, maybe some kind of mob with a crossbow is revealed long enough to shoot the player once? I'm imaging a block sliding out the way to reveal the mob!
I think it may be interesting if the death message itself may be able to fit somewhere in there
Or just a firework, scar head on an armorstand, and a piglin armorstand with the rocketbow that was used.

I'm surprised Zed doesn't have more subscribers and viewers...he's easily one of the funniest and most entertaining hermits in my mind!

My favorite thing about him is that he does something cool and different in every season, from his cave of contraptions from season 7 to his lab experiments in season 8
The thing about Zed is that he tends to keep to his own devices. Though he will sometimes include other hermits in his videos, it's always under his own terms. He never really builds or goes on adventures with other hermits. That might be why he's not quite so popular despite his talent.
He have a lot of viewers compared to other hermits.

Zed, to make your life easier, you should use a skin that camouflages in the background, like a stone texture skin for example.

@@cryosende do you mean because it's observing an output from the comparator pulse extender which would create a degrading signal and each change should trigger the observer??? (I'm assuming that's a pulse extender anyway) The way I think it works, if that is what you mean, is that the observer can't read a signal strength, just whether or not the redstone is powered. If that's not what you mean, lemme know and I'll try again
@@Tom-oz7wk yeah u understood my comment, but the thing is, an observer is able to read if the signal strenth changes/is going up or down. Thats whats bugging me. I rebuild it in both versions, and its not working as in the video because of said mechanic .-.

I mean there is a possibility that they changed it on the server for lag or smth, but i personally wouldnt think that they would change redstone mechanics since there being some hq redstoners playing

@@Nick88126 It's stop motion only on the blocks that are changing. He can then overlay live footage as long as he doesn't cross the portion that's changing. E.g his character is on the right moving via video, in the middle you are seeing freeze frames.
Hello, friends! It's Ness, here again to chronicle the accomplishments and adventures of Zedaph.
Today begins the Spy Games, in which Zedaph must photograph each Hermit through a spyglass lens .. whilst being a sneaky spy. His first attempts are discovered, and I do hope that my tagging along hasn't hindered this Zedvancement! I may need to use some invisibility potions so as to not be detected and spoil the fun.
The base sees the addition of some item flingers for an upcoming storage system.
The science involved proves that you can take the Zedaph out of the lab, but you can't take the lab out of Zedaph.
One last attempt at sneaking rounds out the day...is it successful? You'll just have to watch to find out!

Instead of the glass panes to hold back the water, you could also use glowlichen! it's even less visible and may add some visual interest.
For the "longest death message" diarama: Why not have a dispenser filled with (named?) arrows, that shoots across the room at a well placed Scars head?
I was going to recommend the carpeted powder snow technique for entering the base, but then you beat me to it! Good job reading my mind before I even had the thought. 😄

When the server gets Allays, you can make it a fairy fountain where it drops the items down the hole, then Allays reload the system.
I love this "spying on every hermit" thing!! A fun way to bring every hermit into a little game without them needing much commitment. Excited to see it progress!!
as an idea for the stuck it with a bucket diorama, could you use a slime block to bounce it up and then have it get caught by the water? that feels like it's be easier to execute and a great deal quicker - full disclosure, this idea is essentially just a modified version of the crowd-reaction contraption mumbo made with armour stands :P

Zedvancement idea: "Boxing champion"
-You must kill all hostile and friendly mobs in the game. The final blow must be done with your fist ( you can damage the mobs with any other weapon before that).
- And yes, the Wither and the Ender Dragon are included. I feel like its a fun but difficult challenge.
Idea for an Zedvancement: remove a single piece of each and every game generated structure. Put them in shulkerboxes and try to sell.

It is long term project, it is quite dangerous (deconstruction of nether fortress for example) but it is fun! I love doing it on my server. Just chill, relax and destroy!

@@falsnamae3511 Well, due to the nature of growing games like Minecraft, sometimes very old gamers like me end up going off of old information. Small collections of ore that are 2-I dont know, like 24 blocks, in size, are what I thought of as veins. And at one point years ago, I actually had all of the shapes and sizes memorized. I had no idea iron or copper veins today could be dozens or hundreds or thousands of blocks large.
Zedaph has to be the hermit with the most creative episodes

I think a cool Zedvancement would be to visit very single structure! From a jungle temple and fossils, to every Bastion Remnant, there are so many cool structures seemingly without a purpose, and I believe we don’t appreciate them enough!
Rockets in one of the water stream loops would be a nice rocket restock station :)

One more Zedvancement idea! Create an 'Old Macdonald Farm' of deformed animals! In one of your halls, gather one of every mob and replace their heads with a different mob head using a dispenser!

Zedaph! What a fun episode! May I suggest another zedvancement? Complete the 'Oh Shiny' advancement with every tradable golden block/item in the game.
Crafting tables and such are probably gunna be your best friend for this Zedvancement. The hermits probably won't be as observant if they're doing stuff at a crafting bench and you could probably get a god full shot of them

An idea I had for a Zedvancement was one where you have to leave a message along the lines of “Zed Wuz Here” at every hermit’s base. You can do it in any way as long as it’s not obvious, impossible to find, or written on a sign because that’s boring. It’s called “Graffiti” and I think the trophy could have some dye in it.
Idea for Zedvancement: Reach the maximum possible speed, it doesn’t have to be for much time, put at least 1 tick at that speed, anything can be used, such as slime blocks, explosions, potions, dolphins, exploits, etc…
isn't the max possible speed getting knockback from a ravager?
@@tapplek I don’t know, can you combine that with explosions? Tbh, I was thinking more of a horizontal tnt “launcher” with the highest amoun of power that a player can handle without cheating

You know this is the interaction that makes hermitcraft so special the fact that you tell them what your foinf to be up to then go around spying as like a challenge and it includes all the hermits it’s amazing when you hermits do these fun challenges that includes everybody!!

Had an idea for another Zedvancement - how about a Giga-pie-eating contest with the other hermits, to see how many you can eat within 5 minutes? Could be a really interesting challenge, given you have to make yourself hungry!
If I may make a suggestion: Invisibility Potions
You get better photos, plus since the spyglass/camera is visible it's still a challenge not to get spotted.

He should at least wear a zed head if he drinks a potion but he doesn't have to wear armour

Love the fling streams, they are brilliant, and the hall for the trophy's is beautiful, it has unfortunately made the hall of all look rather drab by comparison
The diorama for the water bucket is perfect, may I suggest moving the sign crediting Scar for longest death so it's not hiding behind the nametag

I love the spying zedvancement already! I wonder though, there are 26 hermits and only 22 in the zedvancement. Zed is missing of course, and then probably Etho who is on family leave. But the other two hermits on a break (afaik), Mumbo and Ren (maybe wels?), will both be back within a couple weeks - do you plan to finish the zedvancement before that?

A fun zedvancement could be am”proud papa” one where you breed every single animal including every colour variation, brown mushroom and brown panda, all the bunnies, the cats, etc
Pranks, deaths, spying.... dangling bits .... this season has it all!
A zedvancement idea, how about “All in one” use 1 of each block in a build
I think something help get a closer picture is stay zoomed in. The spy glass sound effect seems to happen when you either zoom in or out. Only real way around that, if the other hermit doesn't have their sound off while building or something is to just zoom before you get into sound range.
What if the little water paths from the outer wall to the inner one were Deepslate Brick Stairs instead of Cobbled Deepslate Stairs? Using a SLIGHTLY different material, because that's specifically where the water will be running, so there's a bit more effort trying to keep the water from eroding the bricks.
I think you should use various precious blocks ass accents/"tier" indicators for the different Zedvancements! The harder (rarer) the Zedvancement is, the more precious the accent should be.
Zedvancement suggestion
I know there's already a achievement in the game for this but I still think it's a funny idea, have every effect at once.
Zed said Roman bathrooms when he was adding the waterfalls. I could have sworn he said it was going to be the child of a Greek bathhouse crossed with the straightened tower of pizza inside out.

here are 10 ideas for Zedvancements. If you have ideas how to make these even better, funnier, etc. you can write it below
Let´s start basic:
1) Experience(d): Reach level 1000
2) Borderless: Reach the end oft the minecraft map
3) Worst best equipment: If you have the best worst equiptment, you surely need it’s counterpart
Some funny ones:
4) Soup Fasting: Craft all different suspicious stews and put them in a dispenser. Whenever you get hungry you eat a different one. Maybe then next time you won´t try such a weird idea from the internet and stick to normal food.
5) Exoskeleton: This wither looks a little bit strange. He has three normal skeleton heads and bone blocks as body. And somehow he doesn´t become a mob. Well I guess he looks like a trophy
A little more effort:
6) The Hermit Bible: Write 100 pages about your experiences, thoughts, wishes, etc. of Hermitcraft in a book and quill and sign it with Hermit Bible. (you could even multiply and sell that afterwards)
7) Picasso, what a pain-t(h)ing: Create a beautiful 256x256 map art of your choice
8) Collector: Man who collects gems nowadays, when he can have all unique banner patterns. You need to find two patterns: one can be traded with villager, the other can be found in a bastion. The other four patterns can be crafted with: enchanted golden apple, creeper head, witherskeleton head and an oxeye daisy.
Really Challenging:
9) Paparazzi, (In)famous Trio: Make a screenshot *with* the enderdragon, the wither and the elder guardian at the same time (you can push an elder guardian through the end-portal)
10) Flying with a pointed broom: Built an elytra parkour, but wait for a thunderstorm and complete the parkour only with a trident (riptide 3 during a storm and you can fly through the air/rain)
Love your creativity. I wish there was a dialogue with Gem. Great episode!

Zedaph is such an amazing hermit. The way he shows building is so good, it really shows much more than other methods like timelapses or explaining after its built. So funny, so creative, so exciting! I’m always so excited to watch his videos. He deserves so much more love and attention! This is shaping up to be such an awesome season!

for the death message diorama, you could have a button that will then shoot a firework rocket in the face of anyone who presses the button. You could name the rockets after the piglin in the nether haha. I think the bucket diorama looks great

If the sneaking gets to hard, maybe use invisability potions.

Hey Zed. ZEDVANCMENT IDEA: place a build in every biome. Be it a statue, a well, a bridge, little houses in the middle of nowhere. Let each biome speak to you! You could do sub biomes too if you want to go crazy with it. It would be a good opportunity to just exersise your building skills and just pump out random pointless ideas. And a simple excuse to get an elytra.
That picture of Pearl was easily a solid C+, but the film Noir music that you picked to accompany your spying deserves an A.
Such a fun video! I love all the crazy Zedvanments. I think collecting and housing the biggest and smallest mobs Guinness world records' style would be a fun and mostly simple challenge.
The absolute creativity you bring to this game is amazing. Not only with the Zedvancments but with the creative uses of Redstone to amplify every piece of your base. Keep up the good work.

Also as prep work for the spy game, you could start making secret tunnels in and around spawn and other hermits bases. 1x1 hidey holes and secret pockets that view out from half blocks. Also, near farms may be easier as the sound of the spyglass is covered a bit more.
IDEA FOR ZEDVANCEMENT: Place curse of binding on specific items for that Hermit only WITHOUT THEM KNOWING! Example: Scar’s elf ears, Impulse’s Dwarf Beard, Grian’s man bun/easteregg.
I love the little aqueducts and can't wait to see the auto farms hooked up and flinging items. It wouldn't be a Zed base without some wacky flying items :)
This wouldn't be a "Zedvancement" because you already had a death message one, but you should still do this anyway:
"Death.Fall.Accident.Water"
The only glitched death message possible that I know of.
A few things:
Have a dispenser shoot a rocket at the trophy with a button press for the longest death message award.
Glazed terracotta would make excellent flooring and walls to the bath.
A slime launcher with a water dispenser to catch the falling trophy might be easier and more likely to stay in place over the long term with the bucket trophy.
Simple redstone distractions to lure out unsuspecting targets of spying might be in order and a lot of fun.
I feel like Zed's time lapses are so under appreciated. It must be soo time consuming to basically build in stop motion 😂😂
Zed's zany personality, ideas, and timelapses/editting make his videos a masterpiece! I don't know how he doesn't have more traction in the community

This is one of my favourite bases. It's so simple, and doing it in slow steps like you are makes it less overwhelming and seem much more achievable.
The additions to the base, the diorama, the spying, the video editing.. I love absolutely everything in this episode!

I know im very late for this, but for the longest death massage display, you could have a dispenser shoot a firework rocket(maybe one with at little damage as possible so it dosnt kill people)
An idea for an advancement: fly as high as possible in the game, the y coord. You would have to figure out the right combination of elytra and rockets to fill your inventory. Once one elytra dies, you switch for another one as quick as possible and keep going up until you cant anymore. You could also label this as the farthest you can fall to your death lol

Been loving the season so far! For the stuck in a bucket trophy, I think you should keep it above the trophy spot and then when someone presses the button it falls down and is displayed. Then eventually, after a couple minutes or however long, it can go back up waiting for the next person to press it.
For the longest death message ever, you could put a dispenser full of the firework that you used to load the crossbow. Or, oooh, maybe something that spits out a written book with the death message transcribed within? Maybe both?
