Perth to Bahrain for F1 pre-season testing!

- F1 is back, and I want you to join me on my journey from Perth to Bahrain for 2023 F1 pre-season testing! In this travel vlog, I'll take you on an adventure from Perth to Bahrain, where you'll witness the F1 teams and drivers gearing up for the upcoming F1 season.
My journey begins with a flight in Qantas business class from Perth to Singapore, followed by an Emirates Business Class flight from Singapore to Dubai. During my layover in Dubai, I'll explore the luxurious Emirates First Class Lounge before finally arriving in Bahrain for F1 testing!
NOTE: first boarding pass should be QF71 on aircraft VH EBL

Not sure if it was Kym or the editor.. but airport codes are important
Singapore is SIN for passengers (IATA) or WSSS (ICAO) for pilots
Don't think anywhere is currently SNG, but it looked like Ho Chi Minh or Tan Son Nhat in Vietnam which is SGN (thanks to the cities former name of Saigon)

its pretty good, definitely worth a watch! it is a bit slow in the beginning but makes up for it around the halfway mark

Good report Kym. Especially enjoyed the window shots from the plane. That burger did look delicious. Curious what was the little robot in the Singapore airport? Enjoyed the shots of the empty race track in Singapore. Like your black polo shirt with your logo on it. Thirty hours from Perth to Bahrain oh my. I have never traveled that long by plane. But it is fun to journey with you through your reporting. Living vicariously through your experiences makes us all world travelers. Cheers mate.

Hi Kym, as you'll have some time on your hands until free pratice starts how about an update on using the Canon R3? I use one but I'm sure fellow photographers would be interetsed to know your set-up and how you us it/them? I'm in England by the way. The home of F1! When I was 15 (I'm 70 now) I was taken on a tour of BRM in Bourne, Lincolnshire when they had Jackie Stwart as a driver. They had a total of 20 employees!

Hi Kym, if you use Emirates SkyWards program and are elite member - Gold or Platinum - you should be able to match status with Marriott - and then enjoy a number of upgrades (suites, free breakfast etc.). Marriott is usually good with upgrades, not sure why you always end up in a room.

Just a heads up Perth Airport no longer has a domestic & International terminals! That's the old days! They both operate out of both side's at the same time! T1 domestic & T1 International, T3 Domestic & T3 International! It's been like that for a few years now.
