- Sloped river tank (Hillstream aquarium) got new fish. I added Hillstream loach (Sewellia lineolata). These stingray looking fish are perfect for a river setup like this one. I also added a Bamboo shrimp that is in my care for 2 years. Rainbow shiner and White cloud minnows are doing fine.

Ein schöner Bachlauf im Wohnzimmer! 😃
Danke. Greetings from Croatia
I've set up a tub for Hillstreams and I cant wait to collect them.
I didn't know I could keep my bamboo shrimp in cold water.
Mr Bulldog is so cute! I'm glad he got his home back 😍
👍
I like the sewellia,great aquarium
Thanks.
Seriously one of my favorite fish.
Fully agree. I like it as well.
Really cool fish! However if you want to see them active and happy you need more flow.
Thanks. I am well aware of it. Unfortunately this is the maximum flow of this filter and I don't have money for a new one. I could add a stream pump (wavemaker) but because of the big slope there is no space on the left side of the aquarium and the pump would be almost out of the water. In my previous version of Hillstream (Algaescpe) I had more flow because the aquarium was also shorter and you are correct; they were more active.
Beautiful! ❤❤
Thanks.
The KING is back! I love watching hillstreams fly around their tank. They always look like they are on some kind of crazy drug rampag!
I can't wait to have some fry in the Hillstream breeding aquarium; still nothing.
@@IMaqua How long have you had it running for now?
I guess around 3 months but it was summer and hot and actually still is. It's almost November and it is 24C today. I will give them more time. Hopefully I will see some breeding action when the temperature drops or maybe after the winter when the temperature starts rising slowly. I added even bigger rocks to that aquarium. Now it is just a waiting game. I am still feeding them a lot of baby brine, frozen bloodworms, repashy gel and spirulina tabs. Let's see...
@@IMaquaSounds like you're doing everything right. Whata sort of temps do you have down there at the moment? Things are still like a yoyo here. 0-12 all over the place.
It is too hot for this time of the year. Day time 24-26C and night time 17C. It is almost November and I was at the beach a couple of days ago. The only good thing is I still didn't turn the heater in the fish room and all the aquarium heaters are above their set temperatures.
Thank goodness Mr. bulldog is happy again! That is the most important thing❤ It’s a beautiful tank but I was prepared not to like those new fish because they stole his home😂 Now I can watch it again knowing that this story has a happy ending for Mr. bulldog
It is funny that they all wanted the same rock. The aquarium is big and has numerous rocks but that particular rocks seems to be the best. Cheers Jen
Amazing aquarium ❤.
Thanks Lorenzo.
I had a feeling it would only be a matter of time before mr. Bulldog reclaimed his home. 😅
Also good to see Bamboo shrimp and the Loaches making a comeback. This is such a greatly themed aquarium, I love it. 👍
Mr. Bulldog evicted all the residents from his home. He is finally back in and happy
Sewellias are actually quite social, so you should go for a group size of 6 individuals. You should also create more hiding space by stapling flat stones.
Unfortunately I was able to get only two. I have a few more but they are in my breeding tank.
Excellent video! I'm glad this channel is starting to get the support that it deserves!
Last month was incredible, jumped from 50-60k views a month to 160k. Unbelievable. Cheers Jack
Love the additions, I plan on getting bamboo shrimp someday.
Bamboo shrimps are great but they don't move a lot.
Beautiful setup. Are you concerned at all about the hillstream loaches jumping out? I very much want them in my take but without a lid am hesitant.
I do have a lid on this aquarium. I never had issues with them even in the aquariums without lid but as they say "better safe than sorry".
🥰🥰🥰
👍
Wow. With such a pristine tank, what did you feed your hillstream loach?
They eat all the food I drop in. Dry food, frozen food and live baby brine shrimp. Only now a couple of months later algae started to develop so they can also munch on algae and biofilm.
Hello! What species is mr bulldog?
He is Red Lipstick Sicyopus Goby (Sicyopus rubicundus).
