- Death Star vs Borg Cube, its the classic franchise match ups, but you don't really get an idea of this battle until you animate it.
Animated battle between The Death Star and a Borg Cube. What would happen if 1 borg cube found the Episode 6 Death Star - Zábava
So if the Borg assimilated the storm troopers, wouldn't you get a bunch of borg drones that can't hit the side of a sand crawler?

Scott Skidmore - storm troopers are not worthy of assimilation
Its a good thing borg drones don't shoot really.
The Borg often don't use individual firepower except for tactical drones. And assimilation absorbs the best aspects of a species and adds all the bonuses of other assimilated knowledge to new drone species. Stormtroopers have poor aim due to their bulky helmets not being uniquely fitted for each individual soldier because the Empire forgot volunteers aren't the same as farmed clones. After assimilation, this armor would be ditched and the plastoid reprocessed for study and adaptation.
I highly doubt the Borg would stay in the line of fire of the main weapon of the Deathstar. After scanning it they would know it's basic capability and in Star Trek they can detect power up of weapons so it's not like the Borg would be caught unaware of the charging weapon. More likely they would use their superior mobility to just stay on the Deathstar's back side as they assimilate the station.
Okay lets be real the borg couldn't assimilate the death star if they just tried to approach it the super laser would detonate it especially since the deathstars shields are utterly insane lore wise and a drone wouldnt really stand a chance to sustained blaster fire.
@@nobody3761
Borg technology would make the cube shield just as strong as the death star, perhaps even stronger than the death star.
The fact the borg have assimilated so many different techniques proves and only makes sense that would be the case.
And it wouldn't actually make sense that the death star, especially not even finished yet would have as strong of shield as the Borg cube.
Also the fact the Borg has transporter techniques puts Borg technology way ahead of anything in star wars including the death ray.
If you build a death star with Borg or even starfleet technology there would be no competition. The Borg death star would easily destroy the Empire death star.
@@grantjohnston7148 Its not "the borg death star" its a borg cube as per "Borg technology" if its shields were that strong Starfleet would never have had a chance only. the death star in turn since its unfinished is protected by a ground based shield generator which literal specialized ships have been designed to pierce one of such intense strength. main while the death star's laser at full charge easily destroys the largest of capital ships and likely would destroy the borks in a single shot perhaps two or three.
@@nobody3761
I said if the Borg was to build a death star with their technology, they would easily destroy the Empire's death star.
And the federation also has much more advanced technology.
That's how they are able to fight the Borg. Because they also have technology way ahead of anything in star wars.
i agree with you on that and they would have adapted to their lasers long before now and assimilated the deathstar.
The thought of the Death Star Outfitted with Borg weaponry on top of the fire power it already has is a chilling thought. This would be a practically unstoppable weapon, indeed resistance would be futile.
There is always a way
ONLY IF THE BORG NO LONGER WANT TO ASSIMILATE. A DESTROYED SHIP OR PLANET, LEAVES NOTHING TO ASSIMILATE. MOST LIKELY THEY ALREADY ASSIMILATED EMPIRE TYPE WEAPONS 400 YEARS BEFORE. BORG IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE WOULD HAVE SITH DRONES, LIGHTSABRES WOULD BE BUILT IN TO THEIR BODYS
Except the star blazers wave motion gun would kill 1000. Of them easy.

After the initial scan, I am pretty sure the Borg Cube would stay clear of the main canon. 😜
Not in the least. The Borg would take the main canon full force. This is the borgs MO. The first cube would be destroyed, however fractions of a second before the Cube explodes it will use its Central Plexus and send all the data needed to EVERY OTHER borg ship in the galaxy. The next meeting will have a dramatically different result. The Next cube to face the Death Star would be IMMUNE to the Planet Killer. 100% as what makes the borg so deadly is the fact that they adapt and become immune to all forms of energy weapons after only one or two shots by adapting and matching to the frequency of the weapons energy discharge signature amplitude. For the main cannon to be effective ever again the Empire would have to remodulate the weapons output freq however the empire would not know this until it fired the main cannon again only for a borge cube to laugh and keep fighting on.
@@falkwulf3842 oh tell me then why they couldn't adapt to species 8472s weaponry? also in first contact the federation managed to destroy a borg cube with the combined fleet power they had at their disposal. @@tigersebel well to be fair this is basic technology they have to figure out as opposed to the Undine who were using technology they couldn't understand.
The Borg are great adapters but they're not very creative which is why they tried to enlist the aid of Voyager, the Federation is known for figuring its way around problems.
The Borg are not, they just assimilate the knowledge they need and then find a way to ignore it.
They were unable to resist the Undine because they could not assimilate them
@@shaungould6391 yes. but they did assimilate federation technology and were still destroyed by federation weaponry in first contact. it just shows that the adaptation has it's limits. i can imagine it works like this. if it's cold outside you wear warm clothing. if it's raining you get an umbrella. but if a fucking tsunami comes then the best umbrella in the world isn't going to help you against that.
@@tigersebel absolutely but as I pointed out that's because the Federation finds a way around their problems, and that included with enough time Borg adaptacion.
This was ultimately what the Borg Queen was worried about, she knew that humankind would eventually outmatch them.
That being said I no way meant to imply that the Borg could adapt against the super laser and just ignore that much power, but I suppose it is possible that they can simply deflect the beam around them instead of absorbing.
At the end of the day it's still just a giant laser.
POSSIBLE CONCLUSION: We know the Death Star is still in the process of being constructed here. But when the Borg assimilated it and the number of drones increased at an exponential rate on such a HUGE space station, we likely would see the Borg immediately finish the construction of the Death Star - by turning it into a HUGE cube!

Only the main cannon would do anything. Laser based weaponry (Star Wars) is so obsolete in the Star Trek universe that basic navigation shields can no-sell them. The Death star destroys the Borg cube, but took some time. You may think the death Star won but it didn't. Ken Lewis still quite funny.
If the Borg cubes already are dangerous with their own technology, imagine them add this with the Death Star firepower!WE ARE DOMMED!RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!
The super laser wouldn't destroy the Borg cube, it would simply blow a hole through it and most of the energy would pass by unused. Then the cube would repair itself and adapt so that the super laser would do no damage. Then the cube would stay away from the super laser until the Death Star was fully assimilated.
Actually, we will detect the main super laser is powering up.
Resistance is futile.
The death star's shields are useless against transporters; a technology for which this culture has no experience against. The cube is irrelevant.
@@XianHaos the borg could easily adapt to the Death Stars fire power, the main reason why they send out one ship is for it to be destroyed by an enemy technology so that they can adapt and send a much larger fleet

EXCELLENT VIDEO: Your thoughts are likely the exact way the battle would be concluded. We would see the Borg win from assimilating all those clones and thinking they are in heaven with such high-quality drones. Also, one other possibility is if multiple Borg cubes arrived. Yes, the first Borg cube would instantly be destroyed by the HUGE burst of energy from the Death Star. HOWEVER, if that HUGE burst of energy uses the same frequency - which it almost certainly would - the other Borg cubes would in fact be able to resist the primary weapon of the Death Star, just as when the Borg cube didn't have a scratch on it after Geordi's plan to run all the energy on the Enterprise into one HUGE burst of energy.
It's weird to think that a planet destroying beam can be stopped even by the borg, I think they wouldn't adapt instantly even though I keep using the same frequency, instead of remodulating their shields like they usually do I think they'll build some kind of again cube capable of surviving that planet-destroying beam
The Borg cube would probably take a few hits then adapt in turn

If only a few Borg transport onto the Death Star, it's game over. Prepare to be assimilated.
One thing though.. borg shielding once adapted, it uses the energy to make the shield stronger.
The cube has the ability to stay out if line of sight of the laser, which would have been an even even better distraction, trying to get the lumbering deathstar to turn and bring its cannon to bear while being continuously outflanked.
And no, even if charged, the DS is no match. The cube can move at warp. It can detect with sensors at FTL speeds, the DS cannot. The cube would have a detailed scan before entering the system and would have dropped out of warp on the opposite side of the DS as its main cannon, ABD STAYED THERE. Turbo lasers would be useless as the cube would adapt within a couple shots.
DS has 0 chance.
Right, a few issues that I have with this:
1. The laser from the Death Star shoots almost instantly, there is no avoiding that.
2. Turbolasers are fired with superheated gas that explodes with the force of 11.66 teratons (at minimum) not a frequency which is how the Borg shields work. The Borg would have to change their shields to Star Wars ones which can be depleted by sustained fire.
Yes. Death star can't warp. It can only hyperspace. Which is way faster.
@@redvor2486 but you can't make tiny hyperspace jumps. Like you can with warp jumps. Also the main point I made, starwars has no scanners faster than light. Which means the cube can drop out of warp anywhere they want and instantly be in position on the far side of the DS from the main cannon. Turbo lasers would do damage, but the borg would transport over before the cube was destroyed and assimilate the DS and its crew in a methodic and unstoppable manner
@@MrWardonis how would they now what is the main cannon and what it does? How will they scan 140km space station? How will they know what it can if star wars technology is nowhere similar to borg and where have they seen kyber crystals and what they do? And how will they assimilate the crew? It's like millions of people and many of them are soldiers. And never forget that death star will never fly alone. You should expect at least a couple of thausands of TIE fighters, bombers and intercepters.
@@redvor2486 you have obviously not witnessed the borg in action.
The Borg cube after it comes out of warp can travel at near light speed in regular space. It comes out of warp about 200,000 miles from the Death Star and smashes into it. Speed Increases mass. At near light velocity the Borg cube will weigh more than the Death Star. In the split second before impact the Death Star was scanned and the information has been sent to the collective.
First, of all, I don't care what technology you have, you can't scan something 3 times the size of a moon in a second, but ignoring that, did our really just say speed increases mass? Have you ever attended a physics lesson in your life? Speed doesn't affect either weight or mass, which is what you're saying. Plus, the cube would smash into the Death Star's shields, which may I add could withstand a Super Star Destroyer which is 6 times the size of a Borg cube.
@@Probablyademon Really ?If you toss a amor piercing bullet at a window it bounces off the window. The same bullet fired from a high powered gun goes through a concrete wall. A kid steps on bathroom scale weighs 40 pounds. The same kid jumps on the scale it shoots up to 140 pounds as his feet hit the scale. I should know because I was that kid in 1964 that did that. That is way the US armed forces are so interested in Kinetic Weapons. If a object is sent fast enough it can be as destructive as nukes. As for Star Wars Technology it is stagnant. In the universe just like in the real world any civilization that is stagnant will get eaten up by a technologically evolving civilization. As for that Borg Cube goes at near light speed it will weight hundreds of time the weight of the Death Star or even more. The Death Star's shields will be a non issue. The gigantic heat release and explosive force from the impact will blow the Death Star to bits. With Trillions of Cubes at its disposal the Borg will wipe out the who Star War universe very quickly.
@@Probablyademon his theory isn't quite right (what he's thinking of is that an object traveling at higher speeds will impart more force on whatever it hits) but according to general relativity as it nears the speed of light the mass of an object does approach infinity.
Cant believe anybody would be so stupid as to park a ship directly in front of the Death Stars primary weapon and wait for it to fully charge.
Thank you for the effort of making this
Glad you enjoyed it!
first thing.. ONLY the first few shots from the death star would even scratch the borg.. by then they would adapt untill the super laser.. and even then its possible that the cubes shields might withstand that.. on top of that even if the borg were focusing on minimizing damage to preserve the tech on the death star.. cutting beams would still be used to access imperial personel for assimilation... also the borg who beamed on board the death star would likely access the computers and prevent weapons from firing on to the cube.. followed by total assimilation shortly after.. only a force trained person would stand half a chance against the borg.. and even then.. the smartest move for them would be escape....
The Borgs Adaptive Shielding can still get overwhelmed, and the Deathstar has like 50k Turbolasers on it

It is indeed highly unlikely the Borg Cube would be position itself in the Big guns path. The Death Star is just too slow and the Cube can just keep on going around it, firing at will, transport drones aboard, assimilate it from within, while the Cube itself has regenerative properties that in the Star Wars Universe they are not aware off. All the (turbo) lasers of the Death Star have no effect on the Cube. The same happened when the Enterprise first encountered the Borg and one Cube destroyed all Federation ships at Wolf 359. The Death Star, despite it's size, is no difference here. This would be a relative easy win for the Borg Cube.

True. There is a delay before they adapt. My theory was based on 300k drones per cube. Maybe 100k.of them could be beamed aboard
You forgot the Empire will have one major advantage if they had Darth Vader on board. Don’t be too proud of this technological terror you’ve constructed. The ability to assimilate entire worlds is insignificant next to the power of the Force!
Wow, I didn't realise we were discounting the fact that Borg shields work on a frequency, not blocking superheated, explosive gas! The Borg shields would be utterly useless against turbolasers, because they would have to change to ray shields and they can be destroyed over time. Plus, ion cannons could disable the Borg cube and render it immobile, and defenseless. However, the Death Star's shields can block energy based weapons, meaning that the Borg cube would have to use physical weapons, and I'm willing to bet that a battle station 3 times the size of a moon has pretty heavy armour.
Trek ships have survived the corona of a star (superheated plasma) and one of the Romulans 23rd century weapons was a plasma weapon that eventually faded within the 24th century. Also, everything in the universe has a frequency, so your statement is a NLF. Borg have adapted to similar weapons and ion canons won't do much since they have encountered it before (and their systems aren't centered around anything, each component of the cube is not connected to any other system). Borg beaming will win against Death Star shields because they dont have shield frequency remodulation, and that in The Force Awakens, we know that anything traveling at lightspeed goes through Star wars shielding, regardless if it's ray or particle shielding. So, the death star loses badly
Please do the mantle's approach vs. a borg cube
First off the Borg is going to be way too much for Death Star to try to overwhelm.
Why would anyone think a single Borg cube would face off against the Death Star? To secure that bit of technology they would likely send dozens of cubes.
Very true, I put a pole on facebook which I should do and I typically do these match ups as a one on one

That cube would have been dust in 3 seconds. The death II had shields. You remember the whole Endor forest battle? Yeah...
THE DEATH STAR LOOKS MOTH EATAN. LOL
I'd like to mention that the death star has very powerful shielding tech, and last time I checked, star treck tech can't beam through shields
*(sigh)*
Maybe you should check again. when we first see the Borg, they beam a drone right THROUGH the Enterprise's full-power shields. And, just to rub salt in your wounds, when they abducted Picard, they did it again. For someone who claims to be knowledgeable about the ST universe, you aren't very, are you?
Star wars universe shields are very weak compared to most ships in star trek.
@@fredparker7326 As much as I want to agree with you on the Best of Both Worlds Part 1 point, the Borg did indeed bring down the Enterprise's shields first, because they were able to lock on with their tractor beam, thus matching velocities at warp (which is required for safe transporter operations while at warp), before beaming some drones over.

The fight partially depends on how quickly the DS can reposition its main weapon; if only one Borg cube showed up & was able to scan it before the first one is destroyed; if any SDs are nearby to do initial battle & testing of the strengths & weaknesses of the Borg cube along with battle tactics & strategy evaluation. Lastly, if it is able to send a signal for many more cubes to show up & if/otherwise if it was successful in the assimilation of the Star Destroyers (SD) in the early battles, to use them as mobile assault platforms for the assimilated Stormtroopers when going up against the DS. As the DS of Return of the Jedi presumably, the Borg have been able to find out the shield frequencies for taking control of the Endor Shield so that wouldn't be a factor in the battle against the Death Star (DS). A 3-km Cube going up against in battle of a 160-km armored & operational battle station, wouldn't seem like much of a threat. Now if the Borg suddenly sent many cubes & had fully assimilated numerous SDs & perhaps the Executor S-SD, they would have a strong chance of winning. The second DS could very quickly recharge at full power if desired the main dish for fighting many capital ships. & could quickly reposition itself to engage the biggest ships around it first to destroy in battle. The Borg drones, or a lead Drone (like Locutis or the Queen) in going up against Darth Vader & the Emperor with their personal shields & more, would be very interesting of a small-scale battle. Could the personal shields of the Borg queen withstand the force lightning & lightsaber strikes of the Emperor, or would she get fried? Or withstand DV's force skills & lightsaber strikes agianst drones & herself ? I love it.
Star Trek ships are crazy-maneuverable, and the Borg have some of the best tech in ST. The cube would run circles around the DS and there's no possible way that the cube would ever just allow itself to get DS-lasered. They'd get close, get blaster'd a few times and adapt, and then start beaming drones onto the DS with impunity. SW has no teleporter tech so they would never expect it.
So they beam in, and the first drones get dropped by blaster fire. They adapt, and start doing what they do. They learn a whole lot of stuff from the very first guy they assimilate. They learn even more from the first non-stormtrooper. Now they know their way around the station, where the important parts are, etc etc.
If they can't beam directly to the bridge, then perhaps they could use drones as transporter relays. Beam the first drone in as deep as you can, then use that drone as a relay to beam in the next drone even deeper, and so on until you can reach the bridge.
Prepare a chamber inside the cube with an atmosphere full of assimilation nanoprobes. Beam vader and palpatine directly to it as soon as possible.
After that its just a matter of time before they conquer the galaxy. Also they know how to use the force, how to make star wars tech, etc.
Death Star is a long range planet killer. Borg cube is a short range skirmisher. Like apples and oranges.
And then the emperor blows up the death Star. He has a dead man switch there just in case some officer decides to outrank him with the death Star
Respect
This is exactly how I thought it play out. Much like First Contact.
Great animations!
thanks
Please show us a battle between Reman Warbird Scimitar and Death Star or Star Wars Dreadnought...
Star wars didn't have shields. The borg would have destroyed that weapon well before it could have been fired. Cannon fire wouldn't hurt the borg ship
I agree that maybe one Cube would be destroyed against the Death Star Super Laser. But This is probably what would happen. Now if a fleet of Borg ships were to have attacked, would have been a different story. Also, once the Borg start assimilating personnel and machinery they pretty much know EVERYTHING about the ship or instillation they are assimilating. The Empire doesn't stand a chance... without Force Users like Darth Vader or the Emperor on their side that could possibly eradicate the Borg infection at it's source and wipe out every single drone and assimilated bit of equipment.
I almost forgot I was watching a vs video, I felt more like I was watching Reboot from 1994
I love that show!
The one time the Borg cube is the smaller ship. :)
I wonder how it would really go down. Seems like the Star Wars ships can travel much further and faster than the average Star Trek culture (with the possible exception of the Borg), but their ships usually don't have shields and they also still use lasers. My thinking is the Death Star has about the same power output as Species 8472, but I think if it's just a matter of technology, the Borg will win. However, I don't know what the Borg would be able to do against the force. That's magic, and there isn't any technology that can protect from it.
Realistically a single cube has no chance against the full power of the Death Star. Even without the superlaser, (which virtually no shield can repel) thousands of turbolasers would incinerate the cube before it had a chance to adapt. The Borg would have a far better chance if it were several cubes rather than just one, especially once they start beaming over boarding parties. Given that the SW galaxy is unfamiliar with transporter technology, and the Borg can teleport through shields and usually immediately target the bridge and engineering sections of enemy ships for boarding actions, this would catch the crews by complete surprise.
It doesn't matter if the borg cube is destroyed, all the Borg needs to do is beam over a handful of drones onto the death star, and they'll just assimilate any stormtroopers and imperials and the Death Star itself thus turning the Death Star into a Borg Death Sphere.
Yep, thats what happened ;)
And now the Borg have ....
A SuperBattleSphere !
I know if that's not scary what is?
Ken Lewis Scary for the empire
LOL !! 😈
And yet Janeway and Picard beat it with coffee and Earl Grey tea
And the help of Luke Skywalker
SuperBattleSphere sounds like a Power Rangers knockoff.
So the death star won. And the borg won.
The sphere and the empire lost.
No, the Borg won. They sacrificed a pawn to take a thousand kings. Come to think of it, they could have sprayed the moon with Borg nanobots, turned and ran.
Wow!!!!
Any of you that put so much serious thoughts and discussions in commenting on this video, instead of just enjoying it, are probably regulars at Winnie Hut Jr.
Destroyed a Borg Cube: YOU JUST ATTRACTED THIER ATTENTION 😎
very true, same thing happened when Picard first met them
@@tomasistudios2618 Next time They're coming for INTEREST.
Curious that you chose the 2nd death star, but it really didnt matter i guess. Great vid
The main reason I went with the Episode 6 Death Star is that the Episode 4 Death star took a full day to charge and I liked the idea of adding the ticking clock.
How did the Borg Cube break through the shields of the Death Star II?!
OK so now the Death Star is now known as The Borg Star.
The Borg would change the designation to Tactical Sphere.
Smart moneys on the death Star. The Borg need time to adapt and after a hit from the cannon there'll be nothing left
its mostly an issue of if the cannon is charged when they meet
@@tomasistudios2618 but their phasers won't destroy the death Star unless they hit it in the core which you would need the force to do. They do not
The Borg would assimilate everything eventually. They would even assimilate the Force itself.
Yikes, no one read this comment right before bed
Borg Transporters have a far longer range than DS secondary weapons, this battle won't last 10 minutes because that's how long 10000 drones (Cubes usually sent to assimilate entire planets) would take to assimilate the entire DS all while the Cube circles round in the DS blind spot
100% true... But that would be a really lame video
The second arriving Borg cube would be adapted to any attack suffered by the Death Star.
hmmm you still think the Borg shields could take the hit from the main cannon
@@tomasistudios2618 hummmm ... I will think about it ...
@@eurandicorvelloantunesdeol5392 well for comparison, the cube it 3 kilometers vs A 10,000 kilometers of a planet
@@tomasistudios2618 good thinking! I used emotion instead of reason!
