This fatwa doesn't make sense. There are already coptic Christians in the Arab world who have been practising long before the arab conquests. There are also jewish synagogues littered all throughout the arab world.
So you're telling me, none of the christians, jews, zoroastrians, hindus and buddhists who lived under muslim rule never built their places of worship within these 1400 years? They are just using their pre-Muslim rule temples?

How does the fatwa not make sense. What the hell are you on about?! The Shaykh brought multiple proofs from the Qur'an. It's not about who built what historically, the ruling is clear

A wonderful and thorough answer given by the Sheik! But I have a few question I ask out of a will to learn:How about like the Caliphate in Umar? Umar made a pact with one of the Christian leaders? Also, the Ottoman Empire adopted the jizya when conquering nations, like creating religious equality in Jerusalem although they did promote Islam like when the Muslims ruled Andalusia of Spain.

The Ottoman empire as, far as I know followed a sect and were inclined to some extent to sufism which is a deviant sect. And that's the reason that dargahs flourished in their time even in Arabian peninsula with some even existing today like Iraq, Iran. That's not pure islam.

Islam doesn’t allow forceful conversions as in Quran “la iqraha fiddeeen” so when Muslims conquered different lands whether during khilafat rashida or in ottoman times they gave full religious freedom to non Muslims but in countries who are fully Muslims like Arab countries ruled by Muslims these things are not allowed

@Geengeleerde actually we got good few of them alhamdulillah, as the scholars aren't only in Saudi Arabia, and "wahhabi" salafiyyah, is actually praised by Allāh, Allāh says:
And the foremost to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. [Surah at-Tawbah, 9:100]
So here, Allāh is talking about the Salaf and THOSE who follow them in goodness (so the salafis), shaykh Muhammad ibn Abd al wahhab wasn't an extremist, I also used to think salafist were extreme and Muhammad ibn Abdul wahhab was extreme as well, I admit it I also used to think that, until I challenged them and I don't see anything expect the truth, so alhamdulillah I accepted this, the Salafiyyah is the truth. And let me remind you the scholars aren't only in Saudi Arabia, alhamdulillah we got many scholars upon Salafiyyah in other countries Yemen, Egypt, Pakistan, India as well.

Wahhabiyya scholars are not Sunnis, Alhamdullilah it is maybe 10% of the Ummah and will always be. Before you gonna say something back, just let everybody know that you guys are not a authority in Islamic Sciences and relying on our books. I genuinely think they are more Shia’s then Wahhabiyya in the whole Islamic Spectrum.
Especially Yemen and Egypt were the ullema is like maybe 95% Ash’ari/ Maturidi. Syria is literally the capital of islamic sciences with Cairo where 95% is also Ash’ari. Get your facts right.

As far as I know, they didn't build new ones, but Umar allowed them to continue using what was already there of churches and synagogues.

so what if the things go sideways and the christian countries stop giving permission to build masjids in their countries? what will happen to the hundred thousands muslim students studying there and muslims living there including the reverts? why people always think in 1 direction? just imagine India taking a decision like this. Just because Christians countries allow Muslims to build places of worship doesn’t mean Muslim countries have to do same. If what you say happens, then that will be a test for the Muslims. We don’t have to compromise. Just like lgbtq is not allowed in Muslims countries even if Christian country allow hijab. If a chrurch already exists in a Muslim country, it is not going to be demolished

@@bridgeon7502 They can either pray in existing Churches (in case the ruler has not demolished them after the conquest) or in their homes but it is not allowed to build new Churches or restore them. Jizya is literally so that they are not killed, that is why it is only taken from people who may die in war (not women, children or the elderly).
