This is the camera I use for my vlogs, it’s great! So simple to use, especially when I knew nothing about making CZcams videos! So much more practical than loads of other vlogging cams, but still has loads of great features! Can’t wait for you to do more with it Francis, am excited to learn from you again! 👊🏼
Great video, I have a Canon EOS Rebel SL1, but you make me want to go buy that Canon powershot for sure! That spaceship is a F-117, beautiful airplane!

Doesn’t seem to be as sharp but it’s great for what you want it for (portability) after all it’s not the normal dslr that you normally use you should check out the cannon m50!

Nice...audio and video quality looks really good. Welcome to the world of Canon.... My personal preference are the Canon's over the Sony's. So many options with Canon lens when you switch over to Canon.
I used to be Canon before Sony. I does feel nice to have a canon back in my hands
Great vlog. One inch sensor. Surprised that at 1.8 the dof isn’t more shallow. I love Canon pocket cameras.

Just getting the Sony M5 for vlogging. I think we will be going down the Sony route from now on. I just think they are killing it in the cameras at the moment.

I didn't have the best of luck with the cannon cameras had 2 of them ( not your model) . I'v been looking at the Sony Nex to downsize from the Olympus I love the Olympus but it should come with wheels , can't knock the shots though .
I got a used Sony Rx100 m3 ebay jobby and I'm enjoying it, the Sony and the Canon are super similar, the only issue for me is that the Sony m3 doesn't do 120fps at 1060p, and niether does my main camera Fuji XT20 :( Looking forward to the next vid to see what you do on the cinematic side. Also more of Jess swearing excitedly at spaceships please :D classic

In my opinion the sound quality on G7Xii is not as good as on the sony camera.
Just bought one on eBay ($449 for "lightly used/like new") and can't wait for it to arrive.

Sorry, Francis.... this is not the camera that "all those vloggers use". They use big, heavy DSLRs with Rode mics and various lenses. This camera was constantly out of focus. Noisy. I think you're going to take it back soon.

Francis Darracott I can see exactly why you wanted it for portability. But I found I kept using my other Canons for more cinematic b roll etc. Not a great fan of the colour that comes out of it! I’m interested to see how you get on with it. I debated with the M50 but sticking with the completely impracticable 1DX ii 😂
