I feel like everybody involved forgot that arbiter technically has that gun the Protoss put on as a joke. It's dumb, but if the zerg has no anti-air, it'll still kill all the sunkens.
Low dps of arbiters gun. But right solution that game
53:30 he doesnt pull the drones back because its better to take 8 minerals (the enemy will not get those 8 minerals) instead to save a drone and let the enemy take those 8 minerals. Its how desperate the situation is. And its the same reason why hero didnt pull his probes from the middle. They are thinking "yes maybe my workers die.but even if they take 8 minerals and die,at least the enemy didnt take them"
Oh man, it’s one of the most amazing games I have ever seen! Thanks a lot. I watched hundreds of videos on your channel! You do a great job! It’s a great pleasure watching these games! And you’ve pretty nice comments on them!
One thing and big ask for you though:
1. please do NOT remove the camera from most important battles to something not that important, or do that for just a second and then come back quick! For example, on 46:48 you didn’t see that hydra caught the shuttle with 1 river inside! And many other things.
2. Please check the mini map much more often than you do. You lose quite a few nice moments in many of your shown games because of that.

46:16 I feel like corsairs on attack mode would have hit a lot more scrouges and diruption web would have been sick.
I wanted to see the red lurker kill the sunken bottom left, but then he went in with the arbiter cloaked units which was even better! Also, blue had no chance at the end to kill all those cannons without a defiled
AND Protoss had detection at the end. Zerg had NO CHANCE as soon as the storm took out those few to the last hydras.

Reaver often very good unit. Especially when firing on groups of lings or marines.

the warp-in strategy would have probably made headway ENOUGH just barely. Might have also taken out the gas extractor and tried to attack from THAT side, which would now be more exposed and POSSIBLY out of range of the two northern sunkens. Great game, these endings are always nice when some surprise moves are made admist the boredom when it reaches this point. All kinds of sneaky ways with ZERO resources one MIGHT pull off surprising wins. Last-minute drops on critical buildings, units, etc. Amongst other sometimes funny strategies.
the last Protoss units before the halls. tactic needed just SPACE and TIME as soon as those four hydras died. No WAY outside of extreme luck the remaining Zerg, buried lurkers included. could take on the remaining Protoss after those hydras fell to that of-the-last or last storms. After that, Zerg was all but doomed, regardless of the fortified base, which was slowly inevitable to collapse. Same thing with Guardians. Enemy can build all the towers in the GAME. All the Guardians have to do is SLOOOOOOOOOOWLY chew through them from a distance. Takes forever. SUCKS when resources run out in the game, it really does.
Эпическая битва нубов, не знающих и не понимающих ни тактики, ни стратегии, даже не знающих потенциала юнитов, которыми двигают по карте игровой. Это реально эпик. Ещё когда не знал какие фигуры в какой связке на что способны, первые пару месяцев, пока учился играть в старик... ещё ориджинал... мои мувы были на что-то такое похожи.... Но играл не каждый день, только когда денег оплатить в компьтерном клубе время хватало. Но даже не зная и не понимая какие изменения были введены в BroodWar по отношению к оригинальной версии, в первый раз играя с люкерами, девулерами, табуретками увеличенной мощности, а главное - с языками-пушками увеличенной мощности по отнощению к оригинальной версии, на местячковом чампе прошёл в четверьфинал не зная ни как двигаются, ни что делают, ни как бьют новые персонажи перебалансированной игры. А эти танцы реально напоминают мои первые тыканья в игре, когда даже не знал какие юниты вообще на что принципиально способны...
Вы реально это... этих "игроков"... считаете лучшими в мире?

Я по локалке - инет в те времена был слишком дорогой - с гораздо более сильными игроками играл, чем те, что в этих видео. Неужто за два десятка лет старик не получил никакого развития? И на чампах мира играют те, кто игрокам прошлых десятилетий и в подмётки не годится?
Я никогда не играл профессионально, только на любительском уровне. Но играл с тем, кто занял второе место на чемпионате в корее вроде в 2000 году (может 2001-2002, не помню точно) - на равне практически. При том, что он играл бесплатно, ему ещё и платили за это, за то что играл за клуб, а я - платил за то, чтобы просто поиграть хоть с кем-то, а с деньгами был напряг, так что играл только когда свободные деньги были.
Так вот: с тем пареньком партии были гораздо интереснее, чем с этими нубами.
Я уже двадцать лет наверно не играл в старик. Но горестно видеть, что игроки не развились, а деградировали. Даже простеньких тактик былых времён, не то что стратегий - не используют.
Regarding Hero's captured Lurker I believe he doesn't have the tech "burrow" since all he did was capture the unit rather than produce it (and it's underpinning tech tree). Fascinating edge case there.
Nah, mind controlled units retain the abilities they had before they were mind controlled.

Hero is a very strong and well known BW player, he consistently gets to top 4 in an ASl if you know what I mean.
I do not follow SC2 scene but I believe there is also a famous Hero player, maybe you though about him

yeah, attack from the NORTH, but this strategy was even better, lol. But for the former, those lurkers would NOT have been enough to hold the North, especially after that storm attack took out FOUR hydras of the remaining......cluster? Brood? lol. As soon as the Zerg lost those few remaining hydras of the remaining, time was FULLY on the Protoss's side. The game really belonged to Aiur at that point.
Need to somehow double or triple like this one!!!

You know what can help with killing sunkeens - SCOUTS
They are immune to SK and can constant attack them from safety if here no more hydras or scourges, at least no scourges - vs hydras they can run away and attack another bases)
Spores no concern eather - here alwayes a spots to attack SK, or in worst case trade shields for SK hps and regenerate (shields regenerate a little bit faster)
Also here is a SHIELD BATTERY, trade shield vs hp and heal shield, OP profit ... when you and your opponents both mined out))
Sad that at the end Protoss not saved enough minerals for 1 Scout - 250 from 300 needed
With Scouts included if would be best game of decade)))

Map fully mined out and has incredible spell usage.
That said I think workers still have low"combat" value even if just to tank 1-2 shots for the army just throwing 20 away is a waste.

What happens if you mind control and overload.with enemy units in it ? I don't think I've ever seen that done .

I figured it's crazy how when I played this game back then I never thought of this stuff or really even used it.
@@djupsman The craziest thing is to mind control a drone or an SCV. That way Protoss would be able to play for two or even three races at the same time. And the sickest thing is that was anticipated and implemented by the devs.

Basically, this game has no winner. They are equal. Because at the end of the game, neither side has a strong enough army to kill all of his opponent's buildings.
The protoss had enough. The arbiter alone could kill everything (in a lot of time).

Disruption web would have made the protoss win a lot faster. Lots of corsairs and you can make the lurkers useless.
@@Ziegfried82 @Ziegfried82 Yea I don't get why disruption web isn't used more in high end game play... it's as strong as darkswarm IMO. Somebody told me once it's because corsairs will run off and attack things so they can't be used like a spell caster... To counter that you can just order them to hold position. So yea it's weird.

Terran was perhaps naturally always my favorite race. But when I discovered Zerg macro, if successfully executed, the POWER, I feel in love lol. That ability to OVERWHELM, rapidly expand too, just awesome. IF properly done. and yeah, lol....with Terran, LOVED the air power. The wraiths are cool in groups because they CAN be quite powerful, though too expensive and all of Falcon's point's are right. But it is awesome if you can pull it off. Fly around the map causing CHAOS, as groups of wraiths can do considerable damage, BEYOND harassment, as we RECENTLY saw in a FP recast. Which we are all, and always have been, so grateful for.
SOMEWHAT comparable to groups of paladins, chevs, and knights in AOE. Ah, the memories.....
the ability to terrorize, often under utilized and underrated. Cause your adversary to FORGET what they are doing admist the madness, sometimes in multiple locations, causing multiple problems.

MAN BACK IN THE DAY IF YOU PLAY PROTOSS AND GO UP AGAINST ZERG YOU KNOW THE BEST HARD COUNTER TO ZERG IS TO MAKE 8-10 SCOUTS IN SECRET AND ONCE YOU GOT THEM GO AROUND THE MAP and hit very zerg base AND KILL EVERY OVERLORD HE HAS... MAKE THE ZERG PLAYER THROW AWAY HIS MINERALS BUYING THEM BACK!!!

Honestly of all the crying of imbalance the game has had over the years, Zerg's mined out game is definitely the most valid imba criticism IMO. It's like the devs decided to give all the endgame strength that zerg should have and gave it to protoss to make them twice as strong as they should be in such circumstances.
Zerg is very weak when mined out but in a serious high level game this almoust never happens. And to be honest hydra bust, ling all-in rush, sudden muta switch and all other bs that Zerg has in this match up is way more dangerous and impactfull than protoss spell casters in a mined out game like that
@@ab-qj3wo It's not just about being "very weak", it's about being so weak in that circumstance that it's imbalanced and unfair.
@@nafet If you don't win with the resources given to you as Zerg, you deserve to lose. Contrariwise, if you manage to weather the Zerg storm and have the entire map mined out, you as Protoss deserve to win.
The same goes for PvT. In a mined out situation, Terran will win 9/10. Science Vessels can reset Protoss shields and energy, and Siege Tanks pound for pound are more cost-effective than anything in mined-out Protoss army. If you don't manage to out-trade the Terran as a Protoss, you deserve to lose, and as Terran if you outlast the Protoss until the map is mines out, you deserve the win.
@@PaladinZaego Nah. The ability for a single race to turtle at 100:1 cost efficiency without a viable counter or similar ability is crazy. Protoss isn't exactly a walk in the park to beat back during the entire game anyway. Even if your "just beat em early" argument were correct, the skill difference required to accomplish such a "balance" is imbalanced. Your vs T theory crafting is off as well, MC/feedback counters vessel, halluc gives you free HP and storm kills for free once in range.
Zerg is by far the weakest race overall in sc 1 and broodwars, their only strength is the ability to make a lot of drones fast
