      The writers of the WBAS shooters handbook wanted to distinguish the game somewhat from cowboy action by requiring a power factor of 150 and a "big bore" rifle. Target size and distances tend to be more challenging than what is popular in CAS.

    Wild Bunch is something I would love to get into, but I shoot .38 for CAS, and a double shotgun, so I will have to acquire some hardware prior to really getting into it. My local club allows shooters to use a rifle in any CAS caliber for monthly matched and aluminum framed pistols (for those of us who do not have a steel framed one,) so the price to play isn't too bad. Thanks for the look at Wild Bunch shooting!

    • @abee.s.corpus2455
      @abee.s.corpus2455 Před 5 lety +1

    • @JEDiTV
      @JEDiTV  Před 5 lety +1

      You’re welcome! And, yes, most local clubs that play around with some form of “Wild Bunch” will allow different rifles and calibers. I even shoot at one that will let you use double action revolvers of the era (I’ll post me using my Nagants one of these days... y’all will enjoy that!).
      For this episode though, I wanted to focus specifically on the official rules for the category. I almost considered calling this: “Wild Bunch Action Shooting 101”. 😉- Jed

    Jedi cool 😎 video, it looked like a fun group and a fun stage. Question about Wild Bunch. Is there a 1911 or 2 that is a dominant with top shooters as the New Vaqueros are in Cowboy Action Shooting?

    • @JEDiTV

      🤔 I don’t know that any one particular 1911 is dominant… maybe the Ruger (I know when I was in Southern Oregon 98% of that group in Ashland used the Ruger). Rock Island is popular too.
