here’s a tip- if ur in advanced classes STAY ON TOP OF STUDYING and study for upcoming stuff every day for a bit because for me advanced english was very hard and i couldn’t stay on top of the work because i underestimated how hard it would actually be. good luck!
Any tips on how to get my freshman daughter to dress like this instead of like a Hot Topic groupie? I’m not a mean mom, I just want her to realize that the way she presents herself is socially limiting ❤ and I’m sooo sick of the argument.
High school is a hard time, and I’m sure she will find friends that dress the same way and embrace her for who she is. Let her wear what she wants; it’s what she’s comfortable in! Not fighting her on what she wears might make her more open minded about wearing different things. I just want to stress how difficult it is to try to “fit in” as a teenager and not feel like everyone is judging you, so the best thing you can do as her mom is encourage her to wear what she wants and feel comfortable and confident around others.
Her clothes are her self expression. Let her explore and learn what she loves for herself and let her feel confident in what she chooses to wear (within reason). Everybody has their own personal style! And wearing certain clothes aren't really socially limiting. If her clothes are socially limiting her it is not her clothes - it is the people she is surrounded by being close minded and probably not the kind of people you'd want to be around any way. 💙
personally i love them!! most of my shoes are platformed including my converse and i wear them all the time. they’re super comfortable and cute. i’m not going to lie, they are a little heavy at first but after wearing them a little bit, you’ll get used to them. i highly recommend!!
