    I chose these tires in 205 55 16 for my 08 NA impreza. replaced a 7 year 45k miles set of hankook ventus 2 v2 concept 2 (ifykyk) that had long LONG overstated their welcome. I do door dash in a small series of towns in California with bad to good road quality. these tires grip fantasticly well and have superb steering response and ride quality and road noise is fairly contained. You can really notice the low rolling resistance in these tires. from stops letting the car creep feels like you're under a magic carpet about to be wisked away, your transition into easing on the accelerator is a defined experience. You can absolutely see gas mileage gains with these tires, I am pretty detailed on my mileage per driving sessions to calculate my gas cost for trips and these are actually saving me money on top of all their other benefits.

    Would the all seasons in this tire wear out faster than the summer version under normal ( not racing ) conditions? I currently have a CLA AMG45 that eats tires like I’ve never seen. I do live in Nevada so I was considering putting the All-seasons on for traction and hopes they last longer than a softer summer tire? Thank you.

There’s no point in getting winter tires when it snows twice a year, and I may not even need to drive through the snow since I have a hybrid wfh schedule. But summer tires are dangerous in freezing rain conditions. These will also last longer than summer tires.

    Just an updated opinion - I have a 2011 BMW 328i XDrive. I bought the conti dsw06 plus (all 4) in August 2021. For the first 6 months, they were the best tires I've ever had. I daily commute in West Virginia, with some spirited driving. I rotate my own tires. That being said 2 tires (13 months later and only 18,500 miles) need badly replaced. The Conti's became a little noisy (if that is a word) though. I just replaced my rear brakes and when I took of the rear tires, I realized how worn (evenly worn) they were. So maybe I drive for fun, lol. In any case. I am replacing those 2 with the PS4's and ill update at a later time. I almost bought these instead of the conti's last year, but went the other route.

      @jodysigmon5877 Před rokem +1

      @@videogazer801 The dry and wet traction was excellent on the continentals until they wore out prematurely. My BMW wasn't super powerful but handled quit nice. The continentals had slightly better grip in the wet, but the PS4's were better in the dry and snow under any acceleration and driving. I just expected a longer life out of the continentals. Since then, I now have a challenger (BMW gone) and I have Michelin PS4's all the way around. These are the summer tire and are super nice. When they are gone I am thinking of replacing them with the PS4 all season as its my only ride. Overall I like the Michelin's better, a much better ride quality over the DWS's to be honest.

    I bought the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires when the first came out last July replacing the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS on my 2008 Honda Accord Coupe V6 EX-L (P235/45R18). Better traction and handling in both wet and dry and the fuel economy iis much better. I was losing money in terms of how much gas I was using with Bridgestone compared to Michelin. 590 km a tank average with the Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS verses 630 km a tank average with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Seaton 4. These tires are in my opinion the best UHP tires on the market right now and the only one that combines performance, long treadwear (for a UHP tire) and low rolling resistance mixed into the rubber compound (Michelin Total Performance). Well worth the money and good video.

    Just watched several reviews (of this tire). Another vid said the run-flats have the 30k warranty while the non-run-flats are 45k. DTD sells the "Y" non-flats that shows 45k warranty. Might need to verify if you are correct. Didn't see anything about noise/comfort. Review doesn't seem "hands on" the way most are.

    • @onuohafamily
      @onuohafamily Před 2 lety +1

      Most nj/nyc drivers pick the dws over the psas4, I personally have the psas4 on my gli but it depends. The dws has better light snow traction and maybe slightly better wet traction (based on reviews but this really depends on vehicle and conditions) psas4 better in the dry. Some reviews say the continental's are better some say the michelins are better. All I can say is either works fine. If you wanna save a few bucks get the contis. I probably should have gotten the contis but I am a michelin fan boi.

      It depends on where in NJ. I live there too, and our general area is plowed within hours after snowfall, so I never actually have to drive in real snow.
      Worst case there is a surprise snowfall, and I have to face an inch snow or so…
      These tires are enough to get me home in that case.

    How long would these tires last? With daily commute?

  • @MC-qg5nu
    @MC-qg5nu Před 2 lety +7

    Having used the A/S3 I can tell you these are more truly a 3 season tire, even if this one is advertised as 10% more snow traction by Michelin. Here in MN I had to use these briefly before I could switch to my winter wheel/tires, and the A/S3 was a joke on any snow, basically behaved like a summer tire. It would absolutely leave you stranded in 1-2" of snow. This was on a '06 CTS-V. Having said that, it had summer tire levels of grip on the road, and performed in cold temperatures as well if there was no snow. Tire wear on the A/S3 was not any better than the PS4 I just got done with. I'm trying these AS4 next. Plenty of grip on the road and hopefully some better wear as I commute daily 8 months of year with this car.

    So I've got a Chrysler 200 v6, al I do is drive to work 20 miles a day. I was told to look at these and the defender 2. I run dedicated winter tires, so I'm thinking I'd be better off with the Defender as I have no sporting intentions lol

  • @devanrogers3133
    @devanrogers3133 Před měsícem

    Michelin SUV/Truck tires are basically the best you can get even though tires like the Defender are not the best looking. So smooth and quiet. I run them on my Lexus GX 460 and love them but need an All-Terrain so I'm going to get the Continental Terraincontact A/T...........I had a Lexus IS350 that I traded in to get my GX 460 a couple years back. I bought these tires for that and for the money and my needs was not impressed by them. They were not quiet on my IS and preferred the Continental tires that come on the IS when I bought it. I cant remember what model they were though.
