WHY I DECIDED TO SELL MY SHERCO

  • I'm sure you are very interested in why I sold my Sherco, this is the video for you. Where I will explain my problems I had with the Sherco that led me to sell this bike. Honestly, I wish it wasn't like that because I really loved this motorcycle.
    When we talk about the handling of this motorcycle, I have to praise it because I had a ktm, beta and sherco and it turned out to be the best in that regard. It gives you great security while riding and wherever you want the motorcycle will go, you don't have to fight with it. What is very important when changing motorcycle brands is that you must know that each motorcycle is handled differently and that the differences are very large. So don't expect the sherco to act like a ktm or the ktm to act like a sherco. You simply have to adapt to the motorcycle and learn to ride it as it suits you best. Maybe it sounds a little strange, but that's the way it is, in order to use a motorcycle you have to dance with it and become one.
    As for vibrations, I have to say that Beta has the highest vibrations, after it we can say Sherco and of course the bike with the least vibrations is KTM. But to be honest, I wouldn't look too much at the vibrations because this is still a motorcycle for forest, mud and fun. As an enduro rider, I have never paid attention to vibrations and it doesn't bother me, because simply while riding I pay attention to other things and not vibration.

    Yea, I own a 23' and when the clutch goes out I will replace it with a Rekluse manual, problem solved. Expensive fix but worth it I think because everything else the bike gives has been pretty amazing in my opinion.

    What a dope... 130hrs on my new 250. 2x. Stock clutch. Just fill with 1 quart oil.
    Fuel milage kills everyone else. Getting 70 miles per tank.
    Suspension wins.
    Power is killer.

    You ride the KTM the best. I've watched a lot of your videos and you gel with the KTM bike! Would be great to see you on a KTM TBI bike.

    Can you make same video about Beta?Like handling, engine construction, suspension, parts, plastics, because I want to start hard enduro, and I'm thinking about Beta 200 rr, model because riders in bulgaria, say it's very good for first bike for hard enduro, and ofc why you decided to sell your Beta?

    I ride KTM tpi 300 but testrode a Beta 300cc twostroke 2024 endurobike. It had worse vibrations than my old CR500 especially in the footpegs. Betas 250cc version 2024 had much less vibrations. Never tried a sherco.

    I agree with you on the handing of these bikes, nothing else is as good straight from the dealer.
    The Adler clutch that Sherco get supplied (it is not their own clutch) is not great.
    It is something that I would hope to see changed to a disc spring type in the new 25 model due for announcement fairly soon.
    This next model will be new. New frame and plastics, EFI 2 stroke engine, lighter etc.
    It might be something you look at again.

    Yeah l have set up sherco 125 for hard enduro and it makes hard enduro even harder but yes some parts have a long wait time l have been stuck with no kick and dead battery a couple of times and a kicker would be be the go l got 80 hrs out of my first clutch plate were a little glazed and springs had lost about 1.2 mm in length but l thought that was reasonable wear a tear

    I have 200 hrs on my 2022 se300 and it has a stock clutch. No clutch problems for me. I do ride a combination of hard enduro, xc, and very little motocross. I felt the suspension needed work. forks blew threw the stroke to easy and the bike came to high in the rear. My only beef with my bike is waiting for parts for weeks and having to order from a dealer. Im a hour away from the nearest dealer so its a little bit of a inconvenience. overall the bike is awesome, but it would be great if i could order parts on line and have them in a few days like KTM. three weeks for linkage bearing kit!

      I'm not sure where you are ordering parts. I have the nearest dealer 3 hours away, but I order from online, and the longest I've waited is 5 business days.

  • @midgetmoney1

    I had the Sherco and the motor was great but it "felt" heavy. I think it was physically a little heavier but it felt heavier, hard to describe. No kicker option and I have had some sketchy moments when I almost got stuck.

      @braaap6292 Před 15 dny

      Sherco 2 strokes have a massive flywheel compared to other bikes. I think that's what you're feeling. Gives tremendous low end tractability but gives a heavier feel when reving it out in faster riding.

    • @midgetmoney1
      @midgetmoney1 Před 15 dny

      @@braaap6292 I agree about the tractability, it was great in that realm and the carb fuel delivery was very responsive. The weight feel was more in slow terrain and then actual weight when having to pick it up or move the rear end around. Just feels heavier than my Beta/KTM/Husky's that I've had. I just put a 13oz flywheel weight on my XCW so I'm hoping to get that tractor feeling in our Kauai mud that is insanely slippery.

    Who wants to be on a stiff sherco when you could be on a plush Ktm 300xcw hard enduro tbi! You’re the best Kyle!

      lmao Suspensions better. Kind of why KTM went back to closed cartridge style. As for TBI??? Carbs got way more bottom and you dont need hundreds to reprogram.

    And no problems with the electronic valve??
    I have a 125cc, and at around 120 hours, lots of problems with the parts of the electronic valve.
    BTW, Sherco has the worst air filter changing system!!
    Starter also has issues frequently.
    Awesome bike to ride, but not good to maintain.

      lol do you honestly believe Yamaha is better than sherco?! What a joke, I grew up riding all the brands and sherco is by far the best I’ve been on and will last way longer. The French know more about motorcycle engineering than any American company. If you’ve been to Europe and saw how many people ride motorcycles you would trust a European company over any American company.

    Unconstructive video, all bikes have problems. Your video is a very wrong promotion for sherco, which still good bikes overall.
