You're right it's not but 95 percent of my randoms play like it's still rat season and it's so frustrating.
The rats now are freebes like a loot goblin haha

As a solo player, that last tip is huge. I also hate toxic randoms who solo jump into a fight between two other teams only to talk shit about how I'm trash because I didn't have his back, but I have way more experiences with people who are just making basic callouts to win the game

hard disagree... 9/10 with a mic I'm just getting to hear someone playing shitty music, eating food, or letting their baby cry. Then when it comes to callouts they're silent until they get downed and then all of a sudden it's "WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU THEY WERE ONE SHOT. I've actually found more success in that I've perma muted all incoming mic audio from randoms as if I need coms I can go to an lfg but while solo it is most of the time solely my skill that gets me up the ranks and the coms only make that harder as it's just bitching about how terrible of a teammate I am (after I down 1, injure another and am then left with the choice to 1v2 the remaining people as one of them res-es and the other covers or run)
@@shaquille.oatmeal2724yep muting is the way to go. For me it's just focusing on my own game and thinking of my teammates as bots that are just a hindrance.
Loving the new KP heavy system. As a working dad I dont get alot of time to game with the boys these days. But after apeing every team from here to KC we just hit plat 4.

I always have my mic open when playing solo but some of the ppl I jump with are straight up missing something between the ears. Playing music, running a head by themselves then getting angry at me & the other team mate for not being there when they get put down. (then leaving)
I could go on but I will continue to procrastinate with it when not playing with friends..

That last tip is very true. Ive played solo my entire time on apex and ive noticed the times when there are comms, we win. I noticed this when some guy i was playing with was trash but he was constantly on comms and we ended up winning.

Communication is the key. I'm solo queueing a lot and I have noticed what people now less talking in mic even in platinum rank as 2 years earlier.

Can you make a video on what comps are best for each map? I’m ranking up slow now in gold and I’m not sure how to really play now
I will say, even though I agree the best case communication is being on Discord with a premade...please just your pings, keep in mind your teammates aren't in your head, they cant guess that you're done looting and are about to dash across the map and if you don't ping "going there" or smth, you're gonna find yourself alone fighting 3 people while your teammates are 50m behind you.
A good rule of thumb ; a quick, SINGULAR ping whenever you make a new decision/observation : "Going there". "Heard noise there". "Beacon there". "Going there". Don't spam your pings, just one quick ping to let your team know, your team responds with a quick confirmation ping, boom that's all it takes. I've had plenty of AMAZING games with great coordination with not a word spoken but clear ping communications, and it is a *lot* more efficient and comfortable than some incomprehensible mumbling in a dubious quality mic spoken in god knows what language.
Just use your pings. It WORKS.

Been doing grind with friend (Im not solo now HA), we're Maggie Crypto atm stuck at plat, great video, and its true, baloons are great for rotations when the team has no skirmishers, been finding the Mobile Respawn Beacon less useful because as soon as you drop it everyone who can see it bolts on that direction

I just picked up Valk after being a lifeline main for 10 seasons, I know I'm late. Her whole kit is extremely helpful to the whole squad, but I feel the sting of not having a support legend in my squad sometimes. Banner crafting is a huge addition to ranked and its saved me too many times to count, I just can't ignore how fun and efficient Valk is with her 2 jetpack upgrades. Lifeline was still a powerhouse up to silver but it got dicey pretty quick and Valk just hits all the pressure points for me
Maybe try loba to add to team and also have some decent abilities you know.

After returning to apex after 6 seasons and having played this season, pretty much since launch, i have to say the new evo system is so strong. You can still get good evos regardless of how much you've fought. As a lifeline main it's especially amazing because my squad can be red purple purple before we even shot a bullet. Obviously i like getting levels of KP throughought the match but for those slow games, the new evo system is way better as before we'd be blue evos running into a team of red evos
As a Loba main I love getting my team back to push the fight again and have the same result as the last one😂
Remember prior to s17 id get plat by week 2. Only g2 so far xD been rough getting through g2 rn

I'm stuck at gold just because my random teammates keep dropping hot almost every single match or pushing every fight, even when realizing the other team is clearly better. Like I win one match then die early in 5 matches costing me a lot of RP.. And I keep telling them as long as we're average we have to rat our way up to top 10 or 5 before actually engaging in close-range fights. If we can't win, at least we won't lose as much
Just fight bro it’s the best way to play and get better especially if u solo Que, this way u get used to pushing with duos that push and u get a lot of rp, the ratting will make your grind drag, and then when u rank up, u will still have to rat to survive because u won’t have the ability to compete in gun fights . That’s my honest opinion
Remember the higher the rank the better the competition, so focus on fighting more so ur ready then it won’t matter what kind of randoms u get

Pick up that R3 and that Sentinel and pick off easy KP off of the fights happening around you
If you drop quick enough you can scan the ring before it shows where ring 1 will be, then scan again then you only need 50 more til blue evo and if you have a recon legend and a controller you drop somewhere with a survey beacon and a ring console and have blue evo off drop

The thing that makes mirage hard to use is that it is unclear what specific role he has. His mixture of support and arguably a decent entry of secondary fragger to get in there and ultimate to hopefully guarantee a knock is great but because he doesn’t have a specific role, you have to improvise a lot more in the moment imo.
Also, you can scan ring consoles twice by first ring if you land and scan one before the ring location is shown, then scan again after ring counter begins for ring 1.
I’ve soloed the entire way and I’m Plat 2 right now. Solo queue will always be stressful and annoying for me, but I’m trying to solo to masters for the first time, so I’m committed to the stress this season.
Overall solo queue still sucks, but it’s much better for the simple fact that once you get to higher lobbies, you get matched with better teammates. Honestly lots of times I’ve gotten matched up with people better than me. But there’s also the mix of people who don’t value placement and consistently take terrible fights with awful positioning.

been playing crypto crazy this season. he’s a recon/support with the drone and respawn. also the perks to call out how many squads come in clutch. it’s nvr been another season id think about playing crypto 💯 love the perk system

Your intro describes my exact experience. Just got out of a ranked match where I was rolled by a former predator (+20 kill 5k damage badges) Horizon player who is currently ranked rookie 2. And in every other match, I've seen a master badge on the champion screen. Great ranked system we have in this game. Nobody who has reached master or predator should start in rookie. And now that ranked splits are back, casuals and lower rank players have to deal with this dumb rank wipe every month and a half.
Good tips btw. I try to do all of these, but solo queue is a nightmare. I can go two hours without hearing anyone else on mic.
When they added the Rookie tier, they said it would only be for people who had never played ranked before, that everyone else couldn't be reset lower than Bronze. They broke their word.
Wdym. When the split ends you only get a 1.5 rank deduction. U don't start from rookie
@@besratg9207Everyone was reset to Rookie 4 this season, even Preds. Also, the last few seasons where they had placement matches, lots of people were placed into Rookie, even if they'd been Gold or better before. The point is that you should only be in Rookie once, and never again. But you are. So they lied.
Everybody starts at rookie and some started later, it’s just gonna happen. They’ll be gone soon hell today is my first day playing ranked and I’m alr 300 rp from plat🤷🏻♂️
Good thing ranked isn't meant to be a casual experience.
You can completely ignore the controller if you play Vantage as she has the ability to scan ring and surveys making her a very good pic for recon

Honestly i think we needed the mmr system for a few seasons really bad to have people to learn playing as a team. The new old ranked feals way better, than it ever did.
I’m solo queuing to atleast plat 4 this season but probably diamond 4. After that I’m thinking of playing with others to get to masters
With me personally I play on European servers and get a lot of French Randoms and when I use my little French and their little English I do a lot better than a perma mute player. Even a casual message in chat is more helpful than nothing. Information is a game changer no matter how small.

People still rat in ranked, and they most likely die especially this ramp part that went in a trident and hid where no one probably would’ve looked but the trident was in that area so I was able to find her pretty easily and killed her

Try running a wraith. Use the right option for her first ability to get basically an anti third party ability and then if you want rotations use the -60s portal and if you’re fighting more use the -20%. You can now rotate through storm and everywhere else, and also peak teams without fear of dying
I play after work, and dont feel like talking so i usually mute everyone, im a ping god, ill set the right pings and usually find success
We are back to some of our old problems teammates being overly aggressive. I’m in Gold 1/Plat 4 lobbies it’s like some Apex players don’t have a brain they’ll bum rush a POI wit 4 teams and immediately engage some shit and get 3rd and 4th party. Some things just don’t make sense no matter how good you think you are.

This is kind of a random thing but i kinda wish you could look down and see your body and legs. Its kinda wierd just looking down and youre just kinda floating there lol. Adds a bit of immersion and you can see more of your character skin. Off topic but i think it would be cool. Maybe do a wish list type of video respawn might see it and add some things the community asks for. (Probably not)

What happened to kings canyon not played since season 10
Season 17 was my first, how long till I stop playing masters in bronze, my KDR was .92 last season, it's .08 this season lol. Either I get demolished or the Plat player on my team cleans up all the kills 😅. Can't wait till I can rock with my bronze peeps again, feel bad being carried around by all these good players
My KDR is half what it was last season. Unsure why, but probably all the high tier players in the lower tiers. But I'm getting demolished first-fight most of the time in Quick Shot (or whatever it's called) too, so... IDK.

I tend to avoid teammates mics, because, most of the time, they are from another country, or they are listening to music while playing (which is insane in a game where audio cues are soooo important)

Iam almost 5000 hours and Iam worst in apex every day! :))))). Its soo difficult find a team and randoms its just crazy and not an option for this season
Man its so important to take that first initial fight off drop. Then rotate out if needed. Getting 1 squad wipe is crucial for success.
Also land together, for the love of god. All my randoms peel off several buildings down while a different team holds hands grabs a quick loadout then apes together. This is a defining factor. You push as a single unit. Even if it means losing out on some loot. Share guns. If you land together. take 1 gun and leave the other.
Something’s off with this one. I had a 2.0 k/d ratio last season and rn I’m at 0.6 and a feel like I die in a heartbeat. I play raked with a squad and have been playing for years making masters. This update made me bad a the game haha
My KD is half what it was last season, so... you're not alone.
I had at least around 1.2 the past 2 seasons and I'm around .70, this one. It just feels different , although the fact that leaving when knocked counts as a death now is probably why. I'll admit it was easy to cheat your k:d a little Before, at least in pubs
They didn’t need to revamp last season’s ranked system. They just needed to remove the hidden MMR
