GOOD. CZcams keeps making such egregious and dangerous oversights on this platform. There is so much content that doesn't belong on here, but as soon as someone tries calling it out, they're the ones who get disciplined for it. Ridiculous and disgusting

The fact that Ann said “your life is more important then my channel” literally broke my heart. She had to put her entire channel at risk just to warn people about how DANGEROUS something is while youtube says she’s dangerous.

My previous safety video on this subject also got taken down by the overzealous filter and got my channel a permanent warning. They need some more humans involved in filtering this subject.
It's also notable that my recent high-view safety video had none of the keywords it really needed just so it wouldn't be quashed. My original intent was to add them later on, but I'm already on rocky ground with CZcams.

I think some jobs need new hands at youtube personally. Starting from the VP.
It won't help you when even the humans behind youtube don't give a shit. CZcams is a disgustingly corrupt platform and this is a prime example of it. Until someone takes it down, nobody will change anything, let alone youtube.
Perhaps it is humans, not AI, that don't wish to have videos online that suggest that yt should not be promoting death?
The worst thing youtube did was to delete the dislike button. I used to skip over how to do something videos that had a high amount of dislikes. CZcams is putting people in danger.
Dislikes are important. It drives me crazy that I can't dislike things on Facebook but yet the stupid algorithm thinks it knows what I like.
Fortunately for once, the YT algorithm did recommend for me the warning about fractal wood burning prior to the how to videos. Commenting liking and sharing important videos like this one!
Pretty sure they did it because they didn't want the hate shown on their stupid rewind. Almost no one liked that. Now clickbaiters are all over the place
The interesting thing is, I was watching Kreekcraft's reaction to a Shiloh and Bros video (Doors) and he could see the dislikes. Is there a reason for this?
Ok I'm confused.. because I have the dislike Button, unless the Dislike and the thumbs down are different? I have the thumbs down and I thought it was the Dislike
@babygirlzmommy yes, sorry....what I mean by that is, they removed being able to see how many people clicked the dislike button. It is there, but won't show you the number unless you have some sort of app add on for Chrome. So you can see how many people like a video but not see how many dislike a video.

This phrase hits different and really shows the kind of person Ann is. A top tier creator that I’m proud to look up to as a new CZcamsr.

YT changed and now needs way more people than once to React,
but its not impssoible to get Hatespeech, se-ual Content and Pseudoscience removed.
Even aside from disabling YT-Shorts, which helps de-insentivizing low-quality-content
and clickbait, you can do much. Just take 3 Minutes each day to search for
problematic content and then ask YT to delete it. I try to rally you up here, so c'mon.

CZcams cares about clicks, Ann having a vid "DONT DO IT, YOULL DIE MFER" in top search of that category basically turns people away resulting in less clicks all together. Sounds retarded but Ithink thats what mightve been happening

I think you're right. Clicks generate that sweet, sweet ad revenue. Either the folks running CZcams are incredibly inept, or it was done on purpose -- there's no other explanation. Either way is bad, but the latter is worse.

It has already been established that CZcams can't be sued, if You get hurt following a video, because it's only for "Entertainment Purposes" Yet they can ban an Ann Reardon video that contains Only Information, not instructions on injuring yourself‼️
The fact that CZcams banned this video while keeping all the tutorials/hacks only goes to show that they don't actually care about their viewers or creators, but only about how much money they earn. Keep it up, Ann. Your videos are amazing

Automatedly looking for key words, not considering intent or effects. Other fractal wood burning videos act like it’s normal and safe, the one that states about damage is talking about death and destruction so “bad”.

Your warning video was portraying it as harmful, therefore CZcams sees it as promoting harm. The HowTo videos do not depict it as harmful or dangerous, so CZcams doesn't either.
I know that sounds insane, but I'll bet that's the reason why.
So in short, the bots are flagging the wrong videos or their staff is incompetent(leaning more to the former).

CZcams should be liable for promoting dangerous videos while actively banning those warning about the dangers. One thing is to let people post whatever, and a different thing is to actively promote dangerous activities and ban safety warnings.

I'm certain the problem is, aside from pure profiteering, is tunnel vision. YT sees the word 'dead' in the title and concludes "ah, this is a video about how to kill people!" They have the same issue with the word 'nazi', even though actual nazi content creators never use that word in their titles or descriptions

Honestly, that happens often on YT. You have more "debuking" channels, and they usually get flagged for IP or community guidelines. While they are the ones warning about the dangers. The original video's never get removed.
CZcams has a habit of banning videos that openly criticise their platform. I’m disappointed but not surprised.
It's shocking how CZcams even has this mindset. FW Burning is no joke, yet CZcams says: *oh this criticizes our platform, lets remove it instead of keeping it because its a danger*
Very true. We have criticised youtube before. They blocked our video but left the one threatening the lives of cyclists.

Never heard of fractal woodburning till now. Lost my shit when I saw that first video. I was trained as an EMT in the national guard, and the degree of recklessness in that video was astounding. Then you explained the device's design and I was again flabbergasted.
The fact YT took down a video trying to keep people from killing themselves isn't surprising, though. YT doesn't actually care about its creators, so what real interest in your well being as a viewer of their advertisements do they actually have?
Anyone who's lost a loved one to a fractal woodburning accident following the videos original ban should join in a class-action lawsuit CZcams.
Ordinarily it'd be virtually impossible to establish that CZcams itself was in any way responsible for these deaths, but this activity clearly demonstrates that
1. A human being gave this issue attention, and took action on it with the explicit purpose of "keeping people safe". This is openly acknowledging that they understand the potential for harm in hosting videos on this subject, and that they have at least some responsibility towards mitigating that harm.
2. They took the completely wrong action, which had the exact opposite effect. And this effect is quantifiable: we can measure how much traffic the video was getting before, and literally count the number of lives saved.
I don't think this one instance would be able to prove much unless this keeps on happening in this channel or across the platform because they did reverse it after effort. If a lot of data can be compiled about warning videos being specially targeted (even if it was reversed) or they put up a difficult fight to get those videos reinstated multiple times then there would be a sold case that youtube is violating their own ToS which would be kinda funny. They algorithmed so hard they forgot to hard code in the things that they shouldn't touch.
How does CZcams consistently keep making the worst possible decisions imaginable? I know we tend to meme on that, but at this point this is actually downright insulting how incompetent this multibillion dollar company is doing.
Why? One word: Money. 😔

Wood is literally an insulator. The fact that high enough electricity still manages to pierce it should make it obvious how less effective insulated gloves or shoes would be.
Funny you should mention this. I just finished an electrical safety class at work. Dealing with voltages in the hundreds or thousands of volts.
If you’re wearing the proper equipment and take the proper safety precautions you will certainly be safe. The question is do these videos supply all of that information.
And are the people using the proper type of safety gloves, shoes, clothing, face protection.

@@neilkurzman4907 Exactly. Its a matter of scale. Almost anything can become a conductor if you amp the potential difference enough. Lightning is a simple example. Also when capacitors blowout.The gloves available at home aren't going to be that helpful, nor the shoes. That reminds me of an experience when a technician was fixing my cathode ray TV on a bed and the electrons were leaking out enough that I could feel a tingling sensation if I touched the bed cover. We both noped the eff out once we felt it.

And besides the protective clothes, it requires a power-on indication, additional switches, a long non-conductive pipe\stick to held an electrode on its edge far from hands, a buddy who will watch over you, and so on.

I used to be an electronics technician that serviced microwave ovens and I can tell you that doing this is insanely DANGEROUS!! The 2000 to 3400 volts AC along with the high current from the transformer, is a recipe for disaster. Please don't try this!!

This isn't anything new. Most debunking channels face this. Make a video warning people that CZcams videos saying COVID is a scam are nonsense and provide evidence? Banned. Dangerous videos are protected for some reason, it makes zero sense.

It almost seems like CZcams didn't even watch the video and just banned it based on the title alone. This is disappointing because like you very clearly pointed out your videos SAVED lives. You are a hero!! I love your videos and the information you share is very important!
It does seem like CZcams doesn't actually care about the videos being reported or looking into other videos. Just having a colorful or creative thumbnail and boom, it's safe because crafting. Anything that ruins the integrity of their better preforming videos, whether it's danger of them or that they are content farms, they don't care. It's making them money.
I completely agree with you. And it's a shame because there are people out there like Ann that care about others and CZcams is only concerned about views and money rather than content.

The moment I saw you drawing the many curl thingies on the right side of the transformer my eyes went wide because I immediately knew what would be the reason for it being dangerous
We got taught about how transformers work this school year in physics lessons, but if I didn't knew about how they worked I would've been a lot more shocked

I'm not a chef, but I keep coming back to this channel for the "science". I truly appreciate the scientific method and insight that this channel provides. Seriously, some of these videos could be shown in science classrooms just to exemplify proper scientific method for experimentation...also it promotes ethics and positive morality. Good on you!

At this point, I feel like someone should sue youtube. Taking down perfectly fine videos but keeping the ones that could be dangerous or deadly? Nah.
You won’t believe that, but I actually saw the tutorial on this type of wood burning today ON TV!!! They didn’t tell how to get that detail from a microwave, but gave all the other instructions. All the safety they had were rubber gloves. That’s insane.

Yes, I have noticed it too. For example, Soda pets youtube channel has done a lot of videos about animal abuse on youtube and tiktok. Videos where people don't realize that what is being done is harmful to animals, e.g., taking axolotls out of water and dousing their body in medicine or puting 10 male Siamese fighting fish in one aquarium where they will fight each other to death. And the same nonsense has happened to her videos - her videos got banned while videos encouraging mistreatment of pets are left untouched.

Reminds me of NerdCity getting YT to shut down channels that abuse, neglect their kids or put them on display for the deranged and pedos. It took so much noise and many more bigger YTer to get these channels banned. Only for that one "momma" to create another channel.

Getting sued is their cost of business, because it's cheaper to hire countless lawyers and let the algorithm run wild flipping a coin to decide the life and death of channels than to hire people who could deal with the problems the algorithm creates and resolve them. Ann, thank you so much for everything you do, the world needs more people like you. If CZcams strikes you for any of this, what can we as your community do to help you? Simply *because* you value saving lives over the success of your channel is *why* your channel deserves to survive and do well, and I'd like to fight to make sure it does, even if CZcams tries to kill it. I was fortunate to watch the original video when you posted it. CZcams is playing with people's safety here!!
On December 16th 2019 my brother electrocuted himself attempting fractal burning. He was resuscitated after 35min of CPR and spent two weeks on life support in the ICU. He luckily survived but not without consequences. Videos like this need to stay on CZcams. He was inspired to try it out after watching CZcams videos and who knows what could have happened if he had seen yours first! Thanks for your hard work!

The amount of times I’ve seen creators being punished for educating, correcting and standing up for what’s right while at the same time the original harmful, offensive or misinformed content can stay up, with ads usually, is truly concerning.
How bad can an algorithm be before it’s negligent, and at which point is it reasonable to suspect that it’s intentional?
It's truly insane, and sometimes it's even content towards children! If it is a programme/algorithm that automatically sifts through videos, how do those original ones get through? I agree that at this point it certainly seems like a deliberate choice on their side

Inside there’s a HV capacitor in the oven that will shock you to death even if the oven is not powered on. Doesn’t matter how old/ scrappy the oven is. It's probably the word "Deaths" that CZcams takes issue with. CZcams is like the censors for Saturday morning cartoons where you need to use euphemisms in order to get the point across because kids apparently can't take talking about death and other concepts except CZcams decides to police anything unpleasant.

I love commenting, even just a small response on a creator I love boosts their reach. Even if I don't have anything particularly interesting to contribute I still put the words in my head into the comments, after all, these creators already share so much of their creativity and words with us. I know they probably never seen them. But my 3 or 4 interaction points available (like, comment, subscribe (one time), share) can do a lot for their videos, especially if every other person who sees it gives at least 2 interactions.

I saw a person selling fractal burnt wooden tables on FB and the comments below it were full of people calling the maker out on risking their lives and the lives of others around them, and links to the original video. It really reached people.

For those reporting dangerous videos: make sure you aren’t interacting with those videos beyond checking they are promoting the dangerous act and reporting them. Watching the videos and getting in conversations in the comment section only help to bring the videos up in searches. It’s one of the greatest downfalls of the CZcams algorithm.
That’s exactly what I did…I reported it and left the the video.

More accurate., youtube is cheap and only uses bots to regulate its content. Bots that are easily fooled and flag the wrong things. Bot that then rules themselves to have been right when asked for a review.
I think this video get banned because of the use of words like "kill." The bots decided that meant it was encouraging violence.
The videos actually killing people don't use words like that, so the bots see nothing wrong with them.
Using words like deadly, violent, death or similar words in the title gets it caught by the algorithm for harmful conduct and it eventually bans automatically. It's not a reviewed process. Looking at the title of this video I think this will also get taken down again. It's why you see weird censoring (or replacement for the word entirely) for seemingly tame words on popular channels. This is how they adapted in current YT climate. Spread this knowledge.

I was at a craft show a few months ago and saw a booth with fractal woodburned products. Before watching your video, I probably would have purchased something, but because I've seen it I didn't feel comfortable purchasing and encouraging it.
I just found this channel a couple days ago, but I so greatly admire this attitude towards safety even at the potential cost of your youtube channel. I am rewatching the video on mute, liking, and commenting to boost it in the algorithm. I hope whoever makes the decision at youtube does the right thing.
A wood working friend talked about going to a friend’s house to try this, I convinced him that you can’t just jump feet first into disassembling consumer electronics because some stuff can hold a charge that can cause injury even when unplugged.
He agreed and decided not to do the project. After watching your and Clive’s video on the subject I learned how incredibly dangerous it actually is.
Ridiculous that CZcams deleted it.
A microwave oven is one of those things that can cause harm even when unplugged, due to the capacitor inside.
Although i think I like Clive's thought process a bit better because he know people are going to do it even when told how dangerous it is so you might as well tell them how to set it up the safest way possible so you don't kill yourself. Don;t even need a microwave transformer a neon sign transformer will work just as well but isn't fatal if you touch it vs a microwave transformeer.
Knowing CZcams's history of punishing creators for pointing out dangerous or illegal things happening on the platform, I'm not really surprised that this happened, but that doesn't make it any less infuriating. Stay strong and thank you so much!

CZcams does not care about their creators, unless they are creating drama ie. Jake Paul, Tana Mongieau, Jeffree Star, James Charles, Shane Dawson, etc. Based on prior history CZcams allows those aforementioned folks free reign with no censorship. Because $$$
Not all people are created equally and CZcams let’s the other creators know this by suppressing content.
