I mean technically speaking an STP (Slip Termination, Preventable) just takes and rips whatever is in its area of effect and tosses it somewhere in reality so Jorge could still be alive although it’s unlikely.
well there a a few possiblity 1). Jorge died in orbit of reach 2). Jorge survive the jump but died in the crash/wreck/whatever due to various reasons examples being shot, stab, crush, burnt, vaporizer, drown, suffocation, among others 3). Jorge is alive but too old to to fight due to him being out of cryo for who knows how long without medical care. 4). the uncontrolled jump cause a temporal rift or something sending him (among others) into the future where their fates are unknown.

This must be canon!! I have seen the rest of Noble Team just pull that off. He would be more likely to survive; because the explosion may be powerful, but it would happen so fast before the Armor Lock would disengage.
canonically none of your marines survive the assualt on the carrier. There are way too many elites above the minor rank, plus the invisible ones. If a marine survives all that he has all the right to call himself a tough son of a b-
The noble six shot with the visor was done to perfection, it captivates how Shocked and alone Six must have felt as he fell through the abyss of space, watching one of his companions die (or not die) in the blink of an eye, with no clear intent on what to do next. Very well put together animation!
I think the Slipspace Drive actually transported Half the ship to another dimension or a black hole, probably Hell So it's unlikely He survived, Even though We all wanted Him to be Alive
It’ll be nice to see a noble survive or the entire noble team but it would ruin the message behind the game which not a lot of games have, their sacrifices is what make Halo Reach a fantastic game

Other than the manual detonation, the slipspace drive worked as it always does so even the entire Covenant corvette could have survived the jump. The question is where did it end up? Was it even programmed with jump coordinates? If so, where they random? They could even have been coordinates of a system that the frigate Savannah was planning to jump to before the slipspace drive was disconnected.
Honestly i don't think jorge really died, i think he and the victims of the disater that inspired this could still be alive or died after the activation. Because it's a transporting force and not really a explodlsive one thus death by slipspace can't really be acredited for all those deaths. Though most could have died of being subjected to space if they aren't in sealed compartments, maybe something to explore in general!
