You've nailed this Tom! I had one of these in the exact same colour around 20 years ago. So so wish I still had it! Absolutely loved that car. I had always wanted a XR2 and when one came up for sale, I bought it with the intention of selling the XR3i. I actually gave the XR2 to my Mum as I couldn't part with the 3i. Those were the days!!

I had a white XR3i on an E reg for a few years as my first car. Loved it. Lenny was right there are alot of extra's on that XR3i of yours that weren't standard. Seats , 2nd Spolier at the top of the roof line, Sunroof wind deflector.

Love it! I used to have the previous original XR3, not injection, cloverleaf alloys. My favourite is the series 1 RS turbo escort, white, previous shape.

Mk2 was an XR2 and only became an ‘i’ with the Mk3.

When I was a young man in the eighties the middle and upper class youngsters could be recognised by their golf GTI’s and your better off working class drove this! Both were great cars but that old English social divide was so obvious by what you drove, I guess it’s still the same, I have not lived in the U.K. since 1999.
