My advice is don’t wait for special occasions to wear nice clothing. Monday to Thursday it’s okay to use that t shirt to stay at home but on the weekends if you go out wear that nice shirt/pants combo you always push to the wall. One day it will not fit you and that’s when regret will knock your door.

Your first custom shirt. The temptation when you design your first one is try and make it really unique. So you go for all the bells and whistles, three button collars, contrast placket, cuffs, collars, anywhere you can put it. Basically the equivalent of a flying toaster web site. My biggest regret was chasing trends and now I have a bunch of old clothing that I no longer wear, things always come back around and as you said, sticking with clothes that fit you well and look good, will always be in style no matter what is trendy.

Basically buying anything you see in a fashion magazine. By the time the magazine is published you're going to be competing with other people flocking to buy the same thing so it will be overpriced and probably not available in the colors and sizes that suit you. Not to mention that these magazines focus on transient styles that will be out of date in a few months as they move on to the next new thing.

The advantage of the quarter-lined linen jacket is simply convenience of getting in and out of the sleeves (who are always lined) because linen kinda "sticks" to linen making putting on and taking off your unlined jacked kinda awkward if you wear a linen shirt too.

So about 3 weeks to a month ago my sister wanted to buy a pair of sunnies. So I took her to Sunglasses Hut. While there I noticed they had the Ray Ban/Meta shades there. I asked about the styles and they mentioned that it only comes in that one style. For me that was a turn off. I would have liked to see them in other styles but apparently they haven't reached that point yet. On another note you mentioned something about the different trends. I have always paid attention to the current fashion trend but I have always felt like it didn't fit my style. Thank you Mr. Centeno for your time in putting these videos up. I have applied some of your advice to my daily life. Some people have asked me "Why are you dressed like this, you don't normally dress like that?" I normally respond with "It's not for others that I dress the way I do, it's for me."

I just bought an Apple Watch Ultra 2. It has a much longer battery life. I bought it mainly for security - it’s good to always have a phone/GPS on you, in case you have some sort of emergency. My phone is usually but not always on me, and even if it is on me, it’s always good to have a backup. I purchased two pairs of stainless steel 3-link bands, so it looks more like a traditional watch aside from the face. If I want to wear a traditional watch for style reasons, I might wear the Apple Watch, without the band, in my pocket.

I'm wondering if I should consider some sort of shapewear, not to look thinner and vainer, but to hold myself together into a consistent shape after losing a lot of weight and having loose skin since I haven't been able to add muscle. It's weird, I'm back to the near the same weight I was when I got out of the Marines and into college and my first job, and yet none of the suits I had for that 20 lbs range fit quite right even though I'm right in the middle of that range.

Often when I buy pants, I'll get them cheaper if I buy the extra long inseams. Especially chinos. Then I'll get them hemded.

I wish I could buy dress shirts that fit, but I have odd proportions so with out any exception, they all have to go straight to a tailor for adjustment and darts. So I guess lucky me, I can buy those budget/clearance shirts with out regret. But unlucky me, my shirts are all end up being more pricey then for other people. Same with pants, blazers, etc.
Well, good thing I don't have to dress sharply/formally all the time... It gets expensive quickly
But even casually, I wish I could buy things off the rack that fit better because I hate wearing il fitting clothes (which is 95% of the time). :-(

Slim fit, slim fit are the clothes you will always regret buying.
I had to throw away a lot of of nice dress shirts because they no longer would button up. I had a 4 inch gap on my chest that wouldn't button up.
Just buy regular fit dress shirts, and tuck them in. They will look just as good.
And for winter jackets. I always size up; you get mobility and more durability. Since you aren't stressing the fabric out from daily usage.

NGL that fake Rolex with the brown strap looks nice - if it was from another brand I could see it costing 500 bucks.

Omg as a lifelong professional chef? Do you have any idea how much money I have spent Keeping up with the latest culinary fashions? The right shoes, NO CROCS! SHOES! work sole inserts, socks which don't pinch my toes, Dickies pants, Chef's pants COTTON boxers, a-frames, upgrading each cook jacket as they became more and more vented and the materials became more modern... And I'm going to need two of each of those...$500 in knives........ And one hair net.

I endorse the No Green Bananas view: don't save it because it's too special or you need an occasion. If you have to wait for the ripe time ("He who would pun would pick a pocket..." wrote O'Brian), remember that zen is now. (Two puns in the same sentence could be a Capital offense.) I'll stop now.
