I tried to attempt something that could even be above my head. But I like a challenge, something that will peak my experience and hopefully, I'll learn something new. In this video I built a pro controller out of a Playstation 5 Dualsense;, including 4 back paddles Rise 4 kit, Click hair triggers, LED lights for the touchpad, a new faceplate cover with a matte finish black trim, and swappable joysticks with three different lengths. The ultimate pro controller is something you would buy from those highly competitive pro controllers like SCUF, AIM Controller... But even those don't come with Hall effect joysticks to prevent stick drift now or in the future. Installing the Hall effect joysticks is at the top of the priority list for a pro controller, and we are going to roll up our sleeves and attempt to do it all here in this video! So sit down, relax, and enjoy!

How do Hall effect joysticks work? Interested in swapping to the hall effect... but I want to validate if they are good changes or not
Hi check this video hope it helps

You don't have to apply flux when using the heat gun to get the joysticks off?
no its batter to always use flux just be careful as to not get it into the stick its self
You thought the red controller was drifting, but it actually had an issue with the motherboard, am I correct? I'm asking this becsue I think I've been in the same situation, twice. After dropping my DS one time too many, one of the thumbstick started moving on its own sometimes, but it didn't look like drifting.
Good video as always, Can we see in the future ps4 controller but put 2 buttons on the back? Like what the battlebeaver or scuf or other company is offer? Have a good nice day 🤟🤟
There's software for calibration of PlayStation controllers.
All the other videos I've seen of people installing these hall effect sticks have a problem with the sticks reading 100% before the sick has even got to the end.
So what i mean is if you push the stick to the left 70% the game will think you're pushing it 100%
Do you have this problem too with these.
Also I've seen that others install a PCB to help with calibration. Is this needed?
These HE sticks read 100% with stick at around 80% . As you said to do it right you need calibration board
There's a website that lets you calibrate these and fixes circularity and burns the calibration straight on dualsense firmware. I am surprised people still buy them calibration boards which are aids to install.
No it is not. There is an online calibration tool which fixes centering and stick range.
I'd pay you to make me one, but there is an ocean separating us and we do not have the same currency.
What was the circularity percentage?
I just tested. Left stick 14.7 avg error the right stick 14.8
@@TheGamer2Know you think it would be 0% due to it being Hall effect?
I have a hall effect controller the error is 0.1%
@@TheGamer2Know You need to calibrate the gamepad after installing hall effect. It should not be over 7-8% with hall effect sensors. Is the circularity test rounded or squared?
Nice breakdown and fix. Btw are your boards failing due to ESD or your soldering iron is burning the circuit board?
Also, can you do a hall effect video for the PS4 controller next 🙂
I am not sure why the first board failed; it worked for some time while I was calibrating the joystick to the center. But then, all of a sudden, it turned off, and no matter how many times I tried to get it to turn back on, it didn't respond. It took me a long time to reach that point, and I felt like giving up on the video - it was much harder than I had imagined. I took a few hours' break, came back and used the board from the original red controller I was planning to work on. Since I had already done some work on that board for another video, I wasn't sure if it would hold up. After countless hours of working on it, as you saw in the video, everything worked out. This is by far the longest time I've spent on filming and editing a video. I've posted a few PS4 controller videos, but it seems they are not getting many views, perhaps because no one uses PS4 anymore. If there are more requests for a Hall effect PS4 controller video, then I will definitely make one.
Well your def learning from your mistakes and getting better. Keep it up man. I'm going to watch your other PS4 controller videos.@@TheGamer2Know
If it was ESD from soldering it wouldn't have worked after replacing the thumbsticks. It worked for a while then went poof. If it was ESD it was when he was working on it.l powered up adjusting it.
@@TheGamer2Know lmao, saying that no one uses a PS4, or a PS4 controller anymore is pretty short sited. While I don't use a PS4, I do use a PS4 controller, I find it more comfortable than the PS5 controller.
Is there a way to make this work with the Logitech F310?
I'd pay you to do one for me lol
I can make one of you if you want
I can make one for you
@@d371ckvintage7how much u charging 😂
@@coconut4145 depends what you want on it probably like 100 you’d be my first ever controller
Does anyone know If extreme rate rise4 remap kit for ps5 BDM-030 applies to Europe because it is made in China.i order BDM-030 and i m in Europe.pls someone to answer
I am not 100% certain since I am in the states, but it should be compatible since all Dualsesne are made in China.
Thanks for the answer
amazing bro, you have a very nice personal PS5 controller now, cooool ;)
What is the name of the website you are testing the control hand?
Gamepad tester
@@TheGamer2Know I tried to find the same website but i cant can you send the link? Please my friend 🥰
How much deadzone did you put on cod
2-3
This guy will help you break your controller. He says it's easy but it's not. He's obviously been doing stuff like this for years most likely. I ruined my controller because this guy convinced me this was easy.
And he's def getting paid from extremerate
Great video bro thank you 👍
You can just buy a new controller with Hall Effect sticks built in. They are like $40
link ? cause ant no ps5 controllers on market for 40$
only Halifax i know is like 200$ new
theres 40$ ps4 Halifax i bilve but cant play ps5 games with a ps4 controller
I wish i could just send you my controller!! Im so scared to open mine up especially that it was a gift
Ill believe it when ever i see you using it on call of duty with no drift. I didnt like what i seen when you were calibrating it. It didnt look like it wanted to stay where you placed it. Like if you were to bump it. It would go right out. Like i l would love to believe it but its in the video. I want to see it move perfectly with the screw your turning.
Believe what you want. I’m still using this controller on warzone and it’s working perfectly fine. I cut scenes when I was calibrating it because it took forever to do it. Not gonna have footage of me calibrating the damn thing for 10mins or how ever it took me to do it
Ok cool that's what I want to here!! That's funny sorry. It just seems like that part sucks and the parts were giving you trouble. It would be awesome to get some more videos of it whenever. I hope it keeps working for you. I'm planning on doing it too if yours keeps working because I think I've bought 8 controllers. And fixed them over and over. I don't see why Playstation keeps making them like that
Just buy the ones from Ginfull. The V5 is the new version and you calibrate it using a program. Meaning you’ll never bump it off and I was at 1.8% error. “Metal Plastic Electronics” has a video about them as well as a link to the sticks and the calibration tool.
I destroyed my elite controller trying to replace it when I was younger, its been 3 years, my new controller is at the same point, gonna try again, do I need the sucker poper ?
I only have the solder pen and alloy strip, and what do I need to be careful with, I think my last controller broke beacuse the metal that is around the pins of the joystick got scratched too much.
Don’t forget your flux, believe me when I say you need flux. Go to harbor freight they sell inexpensive kits for you to do this
You don't need a solder sucker, but it does help, they have soldering irons that have them built in, but are far more expensive but is the way to go. Practice soldering on something that's already broken and doesn't work before you work on something you're going to use.
You need to be careful on not getting the soldering iron too hot, you need to keep the soldering tip clean and shiny, if it gets burned or dull looking it's going to cause you issues (get what he said at the beginning).
Heat gun is unnecessary Use solder sucker to remove solder then it's easier to remove sticks
Sure it's more pro and cheaper than that Dualsense Edge crap.
In this cost you willl get official edge controller from sony
Great video, thanks for the time and effort!
you shouldn't demonstrate soldering if you don't know how to do it
Or you also can buy one from Aim controller 💪
For 400 bucks
@@MrPeelcam nope if you use a code it is around €200 /dollar perhaps the same.
No
If you use a code (I get one soon) it will be around €200 /200 dollars
That desoldering and soldering job looks really bad to be honest. I'm no professional, but I've been watching quite a few videos of professionals soldering and desoldering boards to get a better understanding of how this is done and it looks really bad in your videos. Looks like you destroyed the board at times in the video.
🤦♂️ Cutting ✂️ a wire to disable the Triggers force feedback motor. What the heck. Destroying that expensive DualSense controller. 🤦♂️ You should have bought a used DualShock 4 controller instead.
