How to mod your own Xbox controller. In this video, we'll be modding an Xbox Elite Controller and an Xbox One S series controller. These types of mods are "appearance mods" because they only affect the way the controller looks. We will be putting bullet buttons and thumbstick on the S controller and a chameleon faceplate on the Elite Controller.

I’ve atleast opened Xbox controller 40 times and the only problem I have on these is desoldering the analog sticks, other than that everything else is really easy and is a piece of cake when you’ve opened one before
I noticed you said that you also tear down ps4 controllers. Do you happen to have any videos on modding said controller? Want to revamp the R2/L2 buttons as well as the thumbsticks but don't want to break them. Thanks!

IS there ANY way to change the X Y A B buttons .. some how make them LED? omg they are black and you can NEVER see them in the dark..

Here’s a scary question 😂: so both of my joysticks since the day I got them have not been clicking down, still move properly but they do not click. Do you have any solutions? I took the front cover off and they appear to be off axis. (This is for the Elite Series 2)

We haven't gotten our hands on it yet, but I'm guessing it won't be harder to disassemble than the elite series 2.

Hi., I have physical challenges. so, I'm terrified of control. of controller modeling. no matter how easy it seems to look. I have some use of my hands, more right than left, so your toolkit intrigues me. Magnetic screwdrivers seem perfect for someone that is a natural klutz. Thank you. I am a PlayStation gamer who has recently converted to Xbox. I would love to know how to switch the D pad and the joystick on the Xbox controller to make the Xbox controller more similar to the PlayStation controller with which I am already familiar.

I don’t have the elite controller but I took off my bumpers and now my one bumper won’t work I’m not sure if I’m putting it back in right or what but I have to press it very hard and it doesn’t even budge but my other works fine
Double check and make sure you seated the bumper tabs correctly
I opened the controller multiple times but didn’t see anything different by the way they were placed

What do you think of the new elite s2? It feels so good, if only it worked properly. The face buttons problem is also shared with any xbox one newly released controller, i have the grey and light blue one and A is inconsistent af
Its has very good build quality: The triggers are beefier as well as the thumbsticks and the overall design. We have had people that have had issues with it, but overall it"s a great controller!
@@7Watts mine didnt have face button problems, the bumpers feel way better imho, but the thumbsticks didnt click when moved at certain angles, so i had to give it back. Im mad af because it was so good overall (despite me not being a fan of the built in battery, the docking station justifies that) but some problems make it undesirable. I also wish it wasnt so noticeable that the triggers arent real metal

why dont they make them easier to mod put waranty stickers inside so no one can say they got a faulty controller then when people break them and have to buy a new one then microsoft makes more money

@@ee5703 You must've got one of the "bad batch" ones I've been using mine for bout 2 months and have had some 6 to 8 hour sessions and the battery bar doesn't even move, I'd exchange it if you can.. they're really good about replacements.

@@ee5703 No problem.. the first one I bought had a bad drift issue right out the box, so they sent me a new one within a week and it works great, so they're are issues with them but it seems hit or miss, you'll notice a HUGE difference in battery life once it's changed, I'm amazed at how long it actually lasts. I have an idea for you guy, as you know we can connect an Xbox One controller by Bluetooth , my idea what if we can reprogram the Xbox controller by Bluetooth .eg. mod the controller send a file the controller 🎮 , can anyone do this or who thinks 🤔 this is a good idea if you use this idea all I ask of you can you let people know I am the thinker to this idea the first one you come up with this idea thank you I hope someone can do this .

Hey man! We dont have anything against China... We were simply referring to screwdrivers mass-produced in a way that is most commonly associated with Chinese production. Especially since most people when they think of mass produced lower quality products, they tend towards thinking of the Chinese production. Not that all products out of China are that way: China has some of the most competitive business markets out there, which cause innovation to occur at an astounding rate.
