This thing of thinking professional athletes must be respected is silly. Shannon has a huge ego that is incredibly fragile. Athletes are just entertainers. Like Charles Barkley said, unless you're a doctor, teacher, fireman, policeman, or serviceman you need to settle down. Shannon got paid millions of dollars, he's OK. Skip saying something true that hurt his tiny ego isn't something to lose your mind about.

His major dis of Shannon was one of the worst moments for him. Comparing the tight end position to the QB position in an effort to put down Shannon was so dumb. Not to mention they played in two entirely different eras.
Guys like Peyton and Tom ushered in the QB protection era. Shannon played in the good ol violent nfl era his whole career.
I mean in fairness Shannon's Brady takes were never good, nor intellectually honest. At some point you should concede that you were wrong about Brady but he never did until after he left the show. I honestly think he was trolling Skip the whole time.

Personally, I think Skip Bayliss Should invest in his own show as a producer. Or something in that nature where he finds new talent and supports their growth. I could see him doing something like that for the next generation of sports talk. I feel like skip wants to still be doing it. I don't see him just retiring, but maybe he should take a back seat and be in the background and help future talent show their results. And he can profit from that. So I really think he should think about producing or starting his own company. Or something in that nature where he could still be involved, but he's behind the scenes. Investing in helping young talent take over for the future.

My point is this...
Skip knows a thing or two about sports its not just my opinion its literally a fact his resume speaks for itself. And seeing grown ass men cry about the kinda "person" Skip is like they know dude personally... Skip is a "TV PERSONALITY" just like Mad Dog & Stephen A. Smith they all have eccentric personalities on purpose to get you to watch.
That brings me to the grown ass men who say they dont like Skip bc he basically has a different opinion about something than you do when literally that's what the whole premise behind these sports shows are... multiple people with expert opinions whether it's a sports journalist or retired athletes who ironically all have different views/opinions regarding specific sports topics that debate their differences of opinions.
Don't worry adult male who is reading this long ass comment... just know its ok for 2 people to have a difference of opinions & you not criticize or judge them.
Let's not forget who gave Shannon Sharpe the opportunity to be a ex NFL athlete on a sports talk show that talks about multiple sport topics... Skip! So in no way did I think Skip was purposely disrespectful to Shannon those few times I think it's almost inevitable that 2 people who are passionate about what they do who have different opinions & views are gonna butt heads.
Again... playing devil's advocate bc I don't think Skip gets enough respect for ALL his work & accomplishments that get swept under the rug.

You know it’s funny, it never occurred to me that Shannon was the real reason I watched Undisputed and then I proceeded to really have an interest in the Nightcap with Ocho as well as an occasional club Shay Shay podcast. I realized a few weeks ago that I don’t find myself searching for undisputed clips on CZcams like I used to.
And I am a guy that loves baseball the most by far so they are talking about my second and third favorite sports. And Shannon is the one I want to listen to.

I think over the years i have seen multiple videos with the heading “end of skip bayless” and bam…nothing happens 😂 Skip will be ended when he retires he conquered sports media years ago on first take, then left got lightning in a bottle and now his career is winding down possibly but he wont be fired he’ll retire.

Honestly, I can't watch sports talk shows anymore. I'll listen to sports radio sometimes, but like watching TV just to hear people's opinion felt really pointless as the years went by... just bc it had no meaning for what was actually going on. The best part was seeing the highlights of the best plays and stuff.
So it wasn't all sports stuff. But the talk shows on television in particular.
Even this video has more substance than two adults debating sports. I'm not even really sure how other adults still watch that stuff enough for the shows to profitable.
