When you do top-- for pop(), the element in the array stays, correct? We are decreasing just the index, how is it going to remove the element?
Yes the element is in the array. But we are using the top pointer to access the members..
and it satisfies the LIFO condition.
what we are aiming for is, our algorithm using array to work just like stack function. So, it doesn't matter if anything's up with the array, since our output will satisfy the stack output conditions.
Imagine that I do a push operation after a pop operation. For the pop operation, I know, I did top--, so the element is still there, but when I do a push operation, I do arr[++top] = num. Thus the same number which was the top before gets overwritten, as if it was never there. Hope it helps.
in gfg i am getting implicit function error for push and pop functions. how can i resolve it?

Yes, if multiple questions are asked in an interview in an hour, they might ask you this :) along with implementation of queue/pq and other stuffs.
Also am not picking easy questions, i do according to the sheet. I did not skip when it was a tough one xD
yes, infact a big yes, implementation of these data structures are necessary to know. how these works internally. Once implementation of heap has been asked in amazon interview. So u should focus on these too. Hope it clears your doubt. :)
