This Zoo is in The Shadow of STALINIST SKYSCRAPERS

Being stuck longer than expected in Russia gave me a lot of opportunities I never though I would had! I got to see far and distant republics, explore new and interesting cultural events, but in all of it even simple things that I would have missed on the regular tourist trail, like experiencing Moscow's famous zoo, opened up to me! This zoo was founded in the mid 1800's under the Tsarist regime, but was nationalized in 1922 and expanded to its current 55 hectare size! It had a remodel in the 90's, so the park is a mix of old, older and brand new zoological interests!
As a former volunteer zookeeper I was so curious to see what their caretaking looked like! If you're curious as I was, here is your chance to experience the biggest zoo in Russia!
