It shouldn’t be a bargain at $20. This should come free in a box of cereal, especially since the film is fried. But at least it’s not fifty bucks. Thanks for sharing!

My Fiancée took this camera to Chicago over new years to get some quick fun and in the moment photos where she didn’t have to pull her phone out of her pocket and take her gloves off to take a picture. For what the camera is the photos came out pretty well. To account for underexposing the film and sub optimum conditions I had my lab push the film a stop which seemed to help. Overall for the lomo look or if someone just didn’t want to mess with anything more complex than a flash I would recommend.

We had to go to the big box store today anyway, and sure enough, there it was. On the basis of your recommendation, I grabbed one. Wish me luck!

I got one of these little guys and it’s at least fun to shoot with! Haven’t gotten either of the rolls I’ve shot developed yet, but it’s cute at the very least

Have you spoken about the $5 camera at Below Five and B/W film for the same price? You have to find it at the right time but it is there.

I was just going to mention this to them. I got mine at a Five & Below for $15 ( film included). It would be fun to hear what FPP thinks about it!

Please do a review of the Five and Below camera and film. Mine came with a water proof cover on it- I didn’t order it that way, but whatever😂.

About the film being fried, I wonder if it from light leaking into the camera case. That's what it looks like to me. I have a new Ilford camera and have taken a roll, but haven't had it processed. I was trying to gather up all the items to develop and print it myself. I had done this for years as a teenager in the 70's and enjoyed it.

Can confirm "fried" film. Most of my shots were quite dark even with flash.

I can’t believe Walmart wants to keep your negatives. I would be really pissed if they kept the negatives.

Can the frame counter go past 27, in case you load a 36exp roll into it?

Besides being fried, I think the inclusion of color film is neat. Most cameras that I've seen that include a roll of film, the film is black and white.

Reminds me of the audio cassettes wal-mart was selling a while back. Cool to see though.
Very odd decision to make the rolls 27 exposures. Maybe to match their disposable cameras? I do wonder what film stock they're using, and what on earth happened to it. Were there any edge markings on the film?

Those type I cassettes were actually pretty decent. I recorded from vinyl to one with Dolby C and it's actually decent for the price and quality.

@@centurybug I haven't been to walmart in a while, but last time I went to the one near me, there were none in stock. I recently ordered a 10 box of TDK Superior D90 tapes, new-old stock, for like $15 on ebay. They are easily worth a few dollars each if you sold them separately.

@@brantisonfire NOS tapes are for sure the way to go. Type II is my favorite but even old type Is from major brands sound excellent.

@@centurybug I have been lucky enough to find a couple of SA90 tapes in thrift stores before, one for $1 and another for $0.50. The only true chrome tape I have is a pre-recorded cassette of Elton John's "Greatest Hits" from the mid-70s. It has that characteristic crayon smell that true chrome tapes have. It sounds excellent as well.

*SIGH* -- WalMart. Had to shop there this morning -- of course they did not have half of what I needed on the shelves (our WalMarts in Maryland stink), but they did have these ONN cameras! $20. I wanted a black one, but they had a security lock on the hanger for just the black ones (????) -- so I grabbed the brownish one. The box says process before 01/2026 -- yeah, we'll see. So far it shoots, the flash works, but the VF is not clear -- it's out of focus. Tried with/without my glasses. I'll report back on my amazing results when I finish and send off the film!
