The fact that she testified for Johnny Depp for free says a lot. And she's never even worked for him, but she did work with Amber & her sister. Then Jennifer testified that Whitney stayed in the guest room and Whitney told Jennifer along with other colleagues that she was keeping Amber from hurting JD. There was even a tweet from Jennifer to Whitney about Whitney not saying the truth and making Jennifer look like she’s the one lying.

Well, to be fair, she was almost certainly subpoenaed to give the deposition testimony. So she had to come, or face charges for contempt of court. BTW, I read her as honest and forthright- just saying, people that are heads of successful corporate organizations typically don't "voluntarily" appear to testify. In fact, even if witnesses are eager to testify, I usually subpoena them anyway (after explaining to them why I need to) because showing up to testify without being subpoenaed can be used by skillful opposing counsel to try and make the witness appear biased.

Was Jennifer's testimony helpful to the Depp Team? I didn't understand the ending when Jennifer said " I was guaranteed 20 minutes ............(I didn't hear exactly what she said here) after being attacked 3 -1/2 hours by your side.....I'm going to stick to what I was told ...before entering this....." I didn't understand the way Jennifer's testimony ended. Was she saying that she was told what to say??? Someone, please explain.

He was a neutral third party that just wanted to let the truth be known since he was there the night AH/JD and their friends were there and AH & some of her witnesses claimed Johnny "trashed the trailer" when in reality there was only a broken wall sconce that cost a whopping $62 to fix. If you don't know, the email really wins the case for JD. She calls Whitney out for lying for Amber. She recalls several conversations she had with Whitney (with other witnesses) . Some of those conversations include Whitney describing the stair case incident and she says that amber attacked JD. She tells Jennifer she is afraid AH will kill JD. She tells Jennifer about AH attacking her AND she discusses the Australia incident and says Whitney you told me that Amber had really done it this time that she cut Johnny's finger off. Whitney confided in Jennifer and every incident she and AH describes now are opposite. Jennifer has no reason to lie and Whitney had no reason to lie to her. She has committed perjury on multiple occasions. I think that AH had everyone lying for her. It's why Rocky is mo longer friends with her. Why Josh isn't and her make up lady. They all got involved in this huge lie to help AH because they loved her and she shot them in the foot. Now they can't tell the truth because they have all lied under oath. Its insane. And sad. I don't think JD was an angel. Far from it but he's NOT a wife beater

Well yeah she can’t afford to tell the truth at this point. If she was to come clean about everything she would be sued for perjury and possibly face prison time. So right now her best option is to keep up the act in the hopes that she either wins or there’s no ruling or the case is dismissed. Perjury is considered a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison. That’s not an option for her.

It's simple. The judge for the UK trial is the biological father of the writer of the article in the tabloid. And the trial is a closed one and there were no jury present, and they just wouldn't let Johnny speak.
They simply didn't want Johnny to win, to keep the tabloid business going.

Yeah there’s about 10 seconds missing at 10.41 you see the clock ticking under Jennifer....... it says 12:46 then jumps to 12:57 I want to know who was questioning her and what’s missing and what was she referring to.
I just read the full letter from Jennifer to Whitney, and wow, it's completely revealing. I now see that's what the extreme nervousness was on Whitney on the stand. I thought she was just nervous because she was lying, but now I can see she has that same terror as any other long-surviving victims of family terror, in this case from Amber. If Amber acted more like that on the stand then she would have actually been credible.
I wish that her messages to and from Whitney could have been submitted, the whole family seemed terrified by Amber

The mood during this testimony seemed especially heavy. Everyone was so subdued, looking down or away. Whitney and Jennifer once thought of each other as sisters and will likely never speak again. This extremely sad and dysfunctional relationship resulted in a lot of collateral damage.

It didn’t make since to her that she’s donate to them. Amber didn’t donate originally because it’s a small charity and wouldn’t give her as much press as the other too. Also, charities need donations! It not a crime that she would ask for one.

I had read her email earlier. It shows genuine concern for Whitney and warns her against perjuring herself in a "fight" that is not hers. I am now watching her live deposition. I now think she is the most credible and valuable witness in this trial; someone who one would call a star witness.
I have heard that she is being intimidated. I wish the law enforcement system in the US would protect her against any harm, and I pray for her safety and well-being.

Yeah it's all an act to show the jury how she is confident coz she's right. But since the trail started the jury are probably fed up of seeing a new personality portrayed by her each day. She is so fake. The way we can see it - the jury will see it too. We are all humans and we all can see the fake expressions and fake confidence she's showing. It is all an act but in her face you can still see the anger, you can still see the frustration. She is finished. Amber was moving A LOT while this woman was on. Amber doesn't normally move that much in the court... It was like she got *fully exposed* - the whole TRUTH on that screen (the letter they could see) - made Amber so uncomfortable, which made her move a lot.... She knows that woman KNOWS!!!
Ps. This woman was sent a cheque "on Amber's behalf" - speaks volumes!! They tried to buy her. Didn't work! But, this has ALSO proved that Elon Musk isn't a good guy. He was sending those cheques "on Amber's behalf" to try to buy people/organizations, so he must have known what REALLY happened.. He must have known that Amber needed to cover up the truth and buy people... Or was Elon manipulated by her too?? That's how she operates....

The e-mail/letter was so beautiful.. I felt true friendship and love/worrie for someone she truly considers a friend. It was heartwarming, and i wish everyone could have a friend like her... Too bad Whitney didnt know how to appreciate a friend like that and still chose to stand by someone who only thinks about themselves..

I thank Jennifer Howell for her bravery of telling the world the truth, even if Amber and her team tried to scare her by breaking into her home. I wonder though why not more info from the letter was brought up.. I have read it, but the jury needs to see it

Her testimony is solid! Was her email ever submitted into evidence though? At the least her answer to Camille as to why she sent the email is very telling!! An honest person just trying to do the right thing!
This entire trial is challenging the presumption that witnesses are telling the truth.
There should be repercussions for perjury. This is not about defamation only. This is about the very serious matter of false testimony, that go way beyond ruining peoples reputation.
This case should set a precedent. There should be a law to go after companies dropping someone before guilt or innocence is determined. If falsely accused, the person who created all of this AH, should be jailed for a lengthy time
You can't have it both ways man. If a public figure or a company is accused of something, you also will join the group to call for resignation, protests, and boycotts before the legal conviction. This is American culture - people power. I wouldn't be surprised to see you on the other side calling for companies to act against someone accused of certain allegation

I am so disappointed that everything i imagine was ruled out as "hear say" which is why her testimony was blocked out and was only available to the jury as a doc email😑🙄 it's so unfair!

It's ok because her Declaration Statement that she made for the UK trial was entered into evidence and thats where she goes into why Whitney moved into her guest room and the stairs incident, etc. Depp's team shortened her deposition so as not to waste time since they still have more witnesses to call and every minute counts now. The jury will get to read her Declaration Statement and they'll see that Whitney lied on the stand since it's so different from the tale she spun under oath.
Did you mean the jury will get to see the email? I sure hope so but nothing was said in court about a document being admitted into evidence? I was really disappointed too when the deposition footage abruptly ended and we didn’t get to hear any details :(
@@Daisylovemj yes, the exhibits that depps lawyers showed her to refresh her recollection will be in evidence for the jury and they'll get to read them. In depositions they dont say theyre entering the exhibits into the record, thats only in court. Howell confirming the declaration statement/check/email on the record in the deposition is how those things were able to be introduced as evidence for the jury. The depp team had to lay the foundation for getting them all in evidence. I was curious why they abruptly ended it as well but it was most likely to save their time. They got what they needed into evidence for the jury.

This lady was so kind to Whitney, letting her stay in her home for upwards of a year, after Amber had been abusive to Whitney and kicked her out. Whitney lying on behalf of her sister Amber was unconscionable and indefensible, sister or not. The truth is the truth. Whitney really messed up. Jennifer Howell is the best friend and "chosen sister" Whitney could ever have or ask for. And Johnny looked so hurt when she had sat up there and lied on him in her testimony. I have no doubt that Whitney lied. What a shame. She could have kept some integrity and dignity and told the truth. Instead, for whatever reasons, she lied on behalf of her dishonest, cruel, sick sister Amber.

In contrast, around "Ms Heard," her attorneys look uncomfortably uptight, with blank, straight-faced, expressions. At the end of session, when Amber Heard leaves the courtroom, they seem much more relaxed.

I think they couldn't dissect the email because it would count as hearsay, since she didn't see it herself and only knows what Whitney told her. But they got the most important part in. Whitney is lying for Amber.
The statement is also submitted and as she said at the end they took 3.5hrs grilling her from one side then just 20 mins to testify mostly burned up with qualifying questions, her main purpose was fulfilled i.e getting the statement riddled with hearsay submitted as a rebuttal to Whitney's claim.
So for the staircase incident they now have whitney and amber's conflicting stories, JD's version, the body guard's version and Jennifer's declaration about what whitney told her

Jennifer Howell's affidavit is available to view on the Fairfax county superior court clerk's website in the documents under this case. The jury will have access to it, as well.
@Jes Chan Yes, it's a numbered exhibit, and this depo would have not been allowed if the documents on the screen she was asked to confirm were not already accepted. That would make this depo unnecessary and it would not have been used.
