#27 is probably my favorite non-Sienkiewicz Moon Knight cover ever, had to CPR & send my copy to CGC, so I *love* that they made it the DM cover for this book!
Excellent overview as always. I ended up getting the DM cover. Sienk’s artwork is gorgeous! During this time of Moon Knight, I think it had some of the coolest covers. I remember picking up some of them as kid & thinking there’s nothing like these covers in comics.

I literally just finished watching Moon Knight a few minutes ago and I was like "I wonder if there are any omnis for it, better check Near Mint". Well here I am and you are doing it. You rule!! Probably gonna try and pick up Volume 1 and 2 soon. Great video as always!
I like seeing art on the cover far more than the than the blank title-only covers. So I hope that becomes a trend. That said, I need to finish reading the first omni before deciding whether I want to buy volume 2.
Very nicely collected - good to see paper thickness is improving at Imak. Gorgeous art under the dust jacket. The cover choice is pretty meh not being from any of the series in the book, so glad there's a variant even if it's not the one I'd have gone for. Don't like that little Marvel badge on the front though, hope that's not on the variant as well. My shelfspace sadly ain't gonna allow me to pick this up at the moment since I'm picking up both the Huston/Benson/Hurwitz and Luke Cage omnis, so I might have to hope and hold out for a new printing some day in a bunch of years time. I agree on the spine, and I think it is possible to have a consistent style within series while also varying the spines up. Book series do it all the time. The trick is the Marvel omnibus logo and to keep the style consistent within volume series - DC kinda kicks Marvel's arse when it comes to spine design and even works its logo into the colour scheme in a lot of its omnis. A cool thing Marvel could try is using the Masterworks variant coloured marble texture, or going for wraparound covers where possible.
Dustjacket is matching with Vol.1, what a novelty and original idea! 😁 Well, very good but I don't trust them anymore to keep consistency among issues and reprints, so no more Marvel Omnis pre-orders for me unless it's done-in-one books. I'm sure they wouldn't mind, they have so many new customers from CZcams unboxing channels that they can easily replace all of the longtime old collectors who would like to have a uniform look on their shelves built over more than a decade, isn't it? 🤔

Lmao yes I still think the 80s was about 20 years ago! I'm a little older than you, Omar. I started reading comics right at ASM 252 in 1984. I'm really excited for more collected editions with material from the 80s.

I own volume one so I'll probably get the DM Cover since I have the DM cover of Volume One. Never read any of this material before although I have read some Marc Spektor Moon Knight which I would love in omnibus format.

I first heard of Moon night in a panel where someone call him or says about seeing him in Mavel Age Magazine, I first saw him in The West Coast Avengers in 1987.

I read in a Q3 earnings report that the Donnelley printer will be shut down, which might explain the recent use of Imak. Wondering if that's true, and if Marvel has used the Donnelley printer this year.
@@NearMintCondition Denny O'Neil edited Moon Knight and went to DC's Batman once he was fired from Marvel. I think Frank Miller already had plans for Dark Knight at DC, but O'Neil inherited the assignment.
I wonder if there will be any issues of West Coast Avengers in a Moo Knight Omnibus since he was not in the group for a short time just like the Defenders.

I was glad to see letters in the 70s Captain Amercia and The Defenders when so far heard the 1960's super hearos included the letters.
Marc Spector - Moon Knight ran for 60 issues from about 1989-1994. Then there were two 4 issue miniseries in 1998. There also is a one shot that came out in 1995. Those are his major appearances before his new series in the early 2000s.
Although gorgeous, I'm surprised they used the Alex Ross cover and not one of the later classic Sienkiewicz covers of the original series for this volume.
I completely agree wirh you. What's even more ridiculous from Marvel, are standard covers like the one from X-Men omni vol.2 which is just a recreation from the DM cover by a contemporary artist. But hey!, did Omar take it to D G?
The last time I took covers to Marvel when people complained they changed the covers. Then people complained but it wasn’t the right art for the artists…. So I asked them again. Then people said “one of them isn’t the full picture! I want full picture!” Wiped my hands cleaned of that mess.
