I love this pair.
It fascinates me how they are both obsessed with the talents of the other.
Alex sees Tommy as an idol, and Tommy sees Alex as a superstar.

ya alex is humble and amazing to watch he is pushing rock climbing and free solo to a whole new level,i hope he post more vids i love to watch him in action... he's no 1 in the world in my opinion...
jackson2620 Yeah he's humble to an extent but also a bit of dick. When he was in Australia for instance he didn't show much respect for rules about bolting certain climbs ect. He's got a weird pathological side that kind of creeps me out. lol Perhaps a good woman will sort him out.
But like you, I love to watch him climb more than anyone else, even when he is not free soloing he has a smooth confidence and easy style that is unmatched. I suspect he will give up free soloing before too long. No one can do that stuff forever and stay alive. I'm always waiting to hear of his fatal accident and I would be really saddened by that.

what happened to tommys finger?
He cut it off with a table-saw when he was 21.
It got stuck in an anchor loop when he was starting out
He had to amputate it due to frost-damage after a failed attempt at K2 when he was 24.
He was actually born with that index finger split in two after the second knuckle (called polydactyly) so they surgically removed it when he was a kid.
