incredible skill! I just wonder about calling something a "flash" when all the holds have been chalked so the climber doesn't have to scope out and find the holds. Obviously they're still very hard holds, a pinky, a few fingers at a challenging angle, etc. I'm an old "trad" climber who will never do anything close to this difficulty but I wonder who makes the rules of the "game?"

Is free solo more demanding physically or mentally? No doubt there are others with as much strength and agility as Alex Honnold, but he has completed solo climbs no one else has even attempted. I think it has to be almost super-human mental focus.
