You said it so well, author. Cheng Yi is a worthy idol who deserves to be known by everyone. He is such a positive influence on those who understand him (regardless if he wants to be anyone's role model or not). As I said before, his peers may copy him (which is a good thing itself), but they can never duplicate him. Unless you truly believe what you are doing and do it from your heart, it will be a chore to you. I do know by now (after having learned about him for several months) that he does everything from his pure and kind heart. I would be extremely surprised if there is another one who has all the extraordinary qualities Cheng Yi has. When it comes to his profession, there is not even another one who would be close to him. At the risk of repeating myself, some of his peers may be good actors but they are just not in the same league as Cheng Yi, who is an artist at heart. It pains me to see people rank Cheng Yi with others. I hope more of Cheng Yi's Guo Guo/fans do what the author is doing, extolling his virtues. What is the huge fan base for? It should be used to let the world know why Cheng Yi is so special. Others can buy "black Re Sho" to belittle Cheng Yi. Couldn't his fans unite together to beat them at their own game by creating their own most searched hot topics on his achievements? I acknowledge that I am very ignorant about social media. At least, if you really are his fan, go vote for his dramas, comment on his dramas/his acting skills. They are all there for anyone with an open mind to see.
Please don't tell me that Cheng Yi is lucky to have good dramas. First of all, the definition of good dramas is debatable. If it is the prevailing definition in his entertainment world, it seems to me that some other of his peers were the "lucky" ones. I have watched most of the dramas with Cheng Yi in them (at least all Cheng Yi's parts). The only reason I watched them is because of Cheng Yi. To be honest, the only drama (with Cheng Yi having lots of parts) shown so far which I would consider to be a worthy drama is Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Even in that drama, some scenes could be cut out without affecting the drama quality. What's more I would argue that the ending may be intriguing but a bit disappointing to me. We are told that a good person gets rewarded in the end. Li Lian Hua/Li Xiang Yi is as good a person as you can find. How do they expect people to be good if all the messages in the dramas are that bad guys don't get punished in the end while good ones have bad or miserable outcomes? I like my Christmas Miracle, which tells viewers there are a lot of kind people out there and if you believe in goodness, it will eventually come true. I heard most of the dramas are based on books. Based on what I have inadvertently come across so far, contemporary writings seem to have no hope to become classics. I guess we all have different tastes.
