Advancing Israel’s Trade Relations - Shai Zarivatch, Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry

Shai Zarivatch heads the Africa & Middle East department at the Foreign Trade Agency of Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry. In his lecture, Zarivatch provides an overview of the Foreign Trade Agency, detailing its activities in Africa, and discussing the current opportunities and challenges in the region. He also presents trade figures between Israel and Africa.
The lecture was part of the session on Economic Development Initiatives in Africa at the "Africa and Israel: Building Strategic and Economic Bridges" conference held on July 2, 2024, at Tel-Aviv University. The conference is a collaboration between the S. Daniel Abraham Center for International and Regional Studies at Tel-Aviv University, the Israel-Africa Relations Institute (IAI), and the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS).
