  • Nearly 60,000 US expats have immigrated to Colombia. Forbes called Colombia one of the coolest places to visit, while the New York Times listed Colombia as the #2 country to visit in the entire world.
Is there any truth to these words? Wasn’t the country ridden with crime and drug cartels not too long ago? So why is everyone moving to Colombia now?

This video shares precise information about Colombia, country receiving huge volume of foreigners from around the world. As visitor, you do not need to be pretentious nor showing up luxurious. Great country to enjoy people, fruits, and nature.

My favorite video of Colombia, love it!!
I’m Colombian and I love Colombia for its vibrant culture, warm-hearted people, stunning landscapes, rich history, and delicious cuisine. The country's diversity, from the Andes to the Amazon, adds to its unique charm.
But, here comes the sad part, the current government is causing significant harm by increasing cocaine production and undermining the country's police and judicial branches. This poses a serious threat to Colombia's stability and safety.

Tons of friends spending time in Colombia and even moving there for the digital nomad visa. One of my friends fell in love and ended up marrying a paisa (and staying there!). Very different from how it used to be or how it's portrayed in media. Would love to go back to Colombia one day and see the coffee region/Medellin!

Colombia territory has all grade of ground altitudes from which allows you to fit at your best temperature all year around, from sea level to snow mountainsides, from deserts to the beautiful Amazonas. The east side of the territory is flat and the central and western is crossed by the chain of mountains landing at the pacific and Atlantic oceans. Tropical rivers are paradise for fishermen and lovers of nature. There are no excuses to accommodate to your needs 🎉🎉

Hello CitizenoftheWorld . I noticed you were interviewed by CZcamsr Carlton of Carlton’s Travel Adventures sometime ago. As you record stories/news for people visiting Colombia I wondered if you have heard about/from Carlton who has not put out a CZcams video for 5 months now. Would be good to know he’s fine. Thanks

@@MikeDunn1 You are not an expat, it doesn't matter what your social status is, how much money you have, whether you are retired or not. You are going to live in another country, you are an IMMIGRANT

@@lumesquita5524 That's fair I'm coming into another country regardless so again immigrant is fair but like I said I'm doing it legally not illegally like the people crossing the border into America.
I'm just trying to get out of America cause it's just as bad as any other country.

This is the most sh1t video on Columbia. This youtuber obviously has never lived in Columbia. He mispronounces Bogota and Medellin. Clearly, this guy google articles and watch a few youtube videos and slap this video together. Columbia is a lot more expensive than the video paints it to be. Affordability is relative to what part you live in. If you don't speak spanish, your paying gringo/foreigner prices. Most foreigners are paying 2x-5x on housing, food, etc.. Everything is getting over inflated in Columbia.

It's cheap - but - it really sucks if you can't speak Spanish ! Malaysia Cambodia & the Philippines all speak English and are cheap too. Not sure '''why''' people in Colombia are so allergic to English - when half way around the world they see it as desirable ? > Even Argentina speaks the most English and is furthest away from the US in Central & S America - as well as much of Europe ? - - - Go figure. - ? -

Colombia has an official language stablished in Colombian constitution which is Spanish (Article Number 10, to be precise), and also that depends who you talk to. IF it is elderly people they won't understand a lot of things. If you talk to a young adult or teenager that would be a little bit easier. It's not an "allergy" as you say, and also learning the local language is a way to adapt the country you're going to move to.

Because the countries you mentioned are too damm hot! In Colombia you can choose your climate. The countries you mentioned only part of them speak English! It is true si no hablas espanol no estare bueno para usted!

    • @inolvidable.
      @inolvidable. Před 2 měsíci +1

You are simply a monolingual arrogant gringo, expecting the entire world to speak English for you, which makes you allergic to Spanish. And those countries speak English because their language is not as common as Spanish. Remember that Spanish is spoken in practically 70% of America, including some Caribbean islands. And saying that all Argentinians speak English is a complete lie, because only about 20% speak some English, and the reason is that more immigrants from Europe, where people speak easily several languages.
Also, Colombia won’t miss you, but you will miss knowing or living in such spectacular country. So, learn the language. Immigrants in the USA have to learn English, what makes you think you don’t have to learn the language of the place you are visiting?
