He has since moved on with his life and his career after his time had ended, but fans formed a connection with the actor following this role. Some claim to be his biggest fan, but many don't know even a few simple facts about him.
This actor first entered this industry at just eight years old when he was cast in a Pringles commercial. It wasn't until Christensen's late teens that he finally landed bigger roles in various films and television shows. It was shortly after his appearances in projects like Higher Ground, Trapped in a Purple Haze, and The Virgin Suicides that he landed the part of Anakin Skywalker. The chance to win a Golden Globe is something that all actors strive for in their careers, but even to be nominated is a privilege. Christensen's only nomination came when he was cast in the role of Sam Monroes in a film called Life as a House. He got so much backlash for Lucas's poor writing of Anakin's lines but Hayden is really the only person who could have been Anakin Skywalker. He's got serious acting chops and defined the role. I think people needed to give the prequels a bit of time to sink in and realize how good he really was.

Clone Wars really fleshed out the character - Hayden was never the problem and he does a great job today in the role.
Hayden played Anakin perfectly and I don't care what anyone says. Look at him today. Lucas had an eye and a gift for talent and you can clearly see the Anakin character is still well within him. If not more than when he made the movies.
I'm so happy that Hayden finally got his wish and properly dawned the Vader suit in Obi-wan. Just too bad Disney didn't take the series seriously enough to care about its production costs like they did with Andor. The massive disrespect to the legacy characters is what i'll never forgive them for.

The difference is, during all original 6 films. They all felt like Star Wars, even if at times people would say that the prequels are bad or would want to discount them. It comes straight from George's mouth that the original six are all the story of Darth Vader, the other 3 Disney made, add nothing to that story. They're Hollywood films, it's better just to not count them

I noticed that Hayden's voice is very different now than it was in Revenge of the Sith. It sounds much more dry and deep now. Of course, that has to do with age, but I think smoking has also taken its toll. He still made an amazing comeback, though! I was so thrilled to see Anakin again!!!
He was also putting on an accent so that he could showcase how Jake Lloyd's accent would organically change after being on a core world.
He was in goosebumps which is the very first time I saw him.

I had a crush on Hayden the very first moment I saw him as Anakin. Seeing him again in the Obi-Wan series...things have not changed one bit. And no, most things narrated in the video I did indeed not know.
and still looks good in Ahsoka but there's something weird about the artificial de-ageing. It was less obvious when they did it for Mark Hamill (even when it was a new-fangled technique back in The Mandalorian (or was that Book of Boba Fett)?).

I really wanna see him in the MCU. He has the perfect look and style to be an amazing Superhero or even Supervillain. And since he already worked with Disney it works perfectly. A great actor, his range is actually amazing. Doing a character like American Heist and Shattered Glass is crazy range. Hope he doesn't go back to farming it would be a waste of talent.
I agree but I also think that after all the hate he got he deserves to get a break. And if farming is what makes him happy then I think he should do it. I think acting has also brought a lot of anxiety and stress on him too.

Was always a Star Wars fan, not that I didn't, love to hate Darth Vader, but when Hayden took on the role, I almost cheered for the Dark Side.
Saw a few of Haydens other films, and haven't changed my tune about his talent as an actor/exceedingly gorgeous human, only expanded its scope.
His role as David Rice in Jumpers got my attention, first in the theater, then had to buy the DVD to watch it at will, it's that good.
The special effects alone were worth rewatching, repeatedly. Then having Hayden at the helm, so to speak, it just had me...Jumping to own it. 💪🏼😍👍🏼🎥🎬🎞️🌟🤩
The first time I watched attack of the clones, I hated Hayden Christensens performance. Then I watched some of his other roles and I realized that it wasn't the actors fault, but the silly storyline/direction that was given to him. I've said it before, I'll say it again. The biggest issue I've had over the years with the prequels is simply that the story doesn't give Anakin weight. We already know he's going to turn to the dark side and the reasons we're given is that he's a whiney teenager? Again, the man, the person - Hayden. IMO, a pretty good actor.

Im so glad that now he's getting the love and appreciation he always deserved from the beginning. Back in the early 2000s especially after Episode 2 he got unfair criticism but I always thought he played Anakin perfectly. To be fair though it was mostly the "normie" fans, not the hardcore Star Wars fans that didn't appreciate his take on Anakin. In Episode 2 he was SUPPOSED to be angst ridden, hot headed and temperamental. That was intentional. Then in Episode 3 he got criticized for being unemotional and robotic at times, but again, that was Anakin's progression towards the Dark side and a reaction to the trauma he had gone through. He was always trying to cage his emotional side and be stoic. Only people that don't understand how Lucas wrote the character are quick to critique Hayden's performance but I have always said he was brilliant. NOW he gets tins of love and respect from the Fandom which is great but it should have always been there

The only problem Hayden had was being a new actor trying to translate, what an "unleashed" George was trying to say, onscreen. One of the reasons why the original trilogy was written and paced so well was because George had someone to guide his vision and tell him when something wasn't going to work. An experienced actor/actress can handle less than clear directions and intuit the desired result. Christopher Lee, for instance, probably figured his character out in seconds. Hayden was in a double-bind, he had to try and figure out how to portray George's dialogue verbatim while also trying to imagine a dark, towering figure like Darth Vader as a young man. He's in other movies with less speculative roles that he nails perfectly and he's recently shown that he can portray Vader and give a good performance regardless of the show's quality around him. Tbh, it would've been great to see him play an alternate, uninjured Vader in a "What if" scenario.

I think people are overthinking how well the script and acting played out.If he was a more experienced actor at the time and they didn't rush through it the movie would have came out a lot better and Hayden could have performed the role better and he did mention he felt like it was too handed to him. But personally though I think he performed the role just fine because besides the script writing and bad timing for Haydens acting career, He delivered the perfect personality for the role however and thats what made it all worthwhile and made for a more fulfilling watching experience for him and the audience as well. :)

The description of higher ground was so wrong. First not a comedy but a drama. It was a show about a wilderness facility for teens with social emotional issue. His character was sexuallly abused by the stepmother not an affair. His character was a star football player before everything went wrong. It was a good show too i wish it was on longer.
