- Hi guys! In this video I'll show you around Ikseon-dong (익선동), one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seoul. It is packed with restaurants, cafes, shops, and has hanok-lined alleys and streets.

Metro: Jongno 3ga station (Seoul Subway Lines 1 (blue), 3 (orange), and 5 (purple)).
Directions from Jongno 3ga: Go out of Exit 4 or 6 to reach Ikseon-dong. From Exit 4, cross the street to your left when you exit and walk towards CU. Keep walking straight and you will hit Ikseon-dong. From Exit 6, go out and walk straight for about 5-7 minutes. You will pass stores that sell traditional Korean drums and instruments. Turn right just before you hit CU (it appears on your right and is directly across from exit 4).

Thanks for a great video! I´ve been to Seoul several times but only with work but in March I´ll be visiting again and this time I´ll have some holiday as well and these tips are perfect. Just one question regarding Hoho Sikdang restaurant, when I try to search it in google maps it only gives me the address of "35 Daehak-ro 9-gil, Myeongnyun 4(sa)ga, Jongno-gu" which is different from what you specify above and in another area, do you know if there are two restaurants with the same name?
Hi! That is great you have some time for a holiday. I believe there are 2 locations for Hoho Sikdang. that is the other location.
If I understand the directions, on how to get there, it nis the location, of what was the middle class red light district, from joson times till 1968.

Thanks! You can use Naver or kakao maps, and city mapper as well. But google is still my go to map.

I quite liked a small tea shop called 'Graang' (I think), and the comic cafe is great, but my dad broke a glass bottle in there so I'm too embarrassed to go back.
