Hi guys! In this video, I'm giving you guys a tour of Mangwon-dong. Mangwon dong is a neighborhood on the outskirts of Hongdae. On Instagram it’s probably most famous for its pink vending machine cafe, Zapangi, but mixed in with a few trendy cafes and restaurants is a local market with a very “old Korea” working class feel to it. If you are looking for cheap produce in Seoul, Mangwon Market is a good place to find it. In the market, you can also find Korean street food vendors, so this is a less crowded and less touristy alternative to Gwangjang market. This is one of my husband's favorite places to hang out because of the old world Korea feel. It also has quite a few trendy cafes and places to eat. If you have time, definitely check this neighborhood out!
How to get to Mangwon-dong: Take the Seoul Metropolitan Subway to Mangwon Station (망원역) on Line 6. Go out of exit 2, turn right. When you see lalala, turn right on the street and walk for about 10 minutes. You will see the market on your right side.

It’s a great market, so affordable and authentic. The neighborhood has a lot of cute spots, I just showed a handful of them!
I wish this video was out when I visited mangwon Dong in March because i had no idea about the cafes ! I bought some Korean seaweed snacks that I couldn’t find elswhere! It was along that street from subway leading to the market . I also purchased a comforter inside the market that I love !
