If you're spending all your time blogging and podcasting, what time will you have left to improve your music? Splitting your energy means you'll be mediocre at everything and fail to be good at any of them.
Yes the music needs to be high quality but with the industry oversaturated with music now, you need to be creating a brand for yourself, marketing your music to the masses.
Podcasts and blogs are a fantastic way to do this.

@@Burstimo I was actually considering making videos on Renoise(DAW) and orchestral, because no one does that combination. Thing is I'm in no way at a level where I could make good videos about it.
That would also be very restrictive, as the audience for that might be too small?

Really good will start video documenting, been at it for a while but it's not taking of, like my audience on Facebook sees and like the videos but don't interact like I wanted no engagement just clicking on the like is button why they do
Definitley try documenting but make sure it's telling a story rather than just "I'm going to have cereal for breakfast" haha

It depends on where you want your audience
I didn't know that podcast is blowing up right now. Who is easier to find and get engagement from: a listener for a podcast or a follower on social media?
It's easier to get a follower on social media but a podcast listener is worth so much more because the relationship is so personal.
We'd highly suggest starting a podcast before the market becomes oversaturated with musicians trying it.
