- In this video we head to Northumberland in our DIY converted Fiat Scudo for some trail running on the Pennine Way. It was just 3 weeks before we took on the Montane Summer Spine Challenger North 2023 so we went for a final recce of the section between Bellingham and Hadrian's Wall. We found a great spot to park up next to the River North Tyne at Wark.

Lovely video, Kinder looks gorgeous give Kinder a hug from me, many thanks 🙏
Thanks for watching Paul, Kinder is the perfect adventure buddy
Fantastic, some great trails to run there. Definitely need to get some proper trails in again soon. That park up by the river looked great, a perfect little spot. Good heads up on the toilets and tap, always useful info that.
Catch you soon mate Atb Mark
Thanks for watching Mark, loved that camp spot down by the river. Hope you're doing well mate, see you soon.
Top Quality Dean ...as always..cheers for the entertainment(it's dark and cold outside and this has perked me up).
Thanks for watching mate, Summer seems like a distance memory now. Just got back from a cold, muddy run in the Peak District which feels a million miles away from the run in this video but still fun 😀
Great vid - you had super weather. And really helpful as I'll be fastpacking the northern section of the PW in the summer 🙂
That’s great, I hope you have a good time. I quite fancy fast packing it in summer too, sleeping in a bivvy with the odd night in a hostel to wash up. Thanks for watching
Dean, can you please stop posting fantastic Pennine Way videos, in just over the last year I’ve backpacked it two and a half times (the half was in the heatwave in July 2022 when we got as far as MIT before giving up due to the dog and the extreme heat). Watching them is making me want to walk it again this year 😂
Haha 😂 thanks for watching Mark. Maybe see you out on the Pennine Way next summer then 😀
Great to see your up Northumberland it's so beautiful happy new year dean all the best 😂
Northumberland is absolutely stunning, looking forward to returning again next week. Thanks for watching
Great to catch up with, what's been happening. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Grant. 2023 has been a great year, packed full of adventures which is why I’ve neglected my editing 😂 I’ve got some epic videos to come

Great video Dean, hope there’s more to come soon!
Thanks for watching Mike, I’ve just released another video today and I have another 4 in the bank. Camping and hiking in Kyrgyzstan and then one from Namibia, then it’s back to UK camping
@@DeanRead sounds amazing, can’t wait to watch them!
@@mikestephens1982 looking forward to seeing the footage I recorded and reliving the memories
Been too long Dean. Appreciate the time and effort it must take to put these videos together but would love to see you back in the peaks, been watching some of your older vids and have to say they’re definitely some of my personal favs. HNY and all the best.
Thanks for watching mate. I’ve got some more UK camping videos to come. The problem is, I’ve done so many videos in the Peak District that I found it hard to create something that felt new, it just felt like I was making the same type of videos over and over again, some folk like that but I got bored 😂
Hi mate thanks for the reply. Yes thought that might be case, can’t keep posting the same videos of the same places. Anyway a Dean Read upload is always good value where ever you are. Take care, Sam.
@@football_forever.1 thanks Sam, hopefully I'll get some more Peak District videos done soon.
Good to see you again! What rucksacks are you both carrying? Thanks.
Thanks for watching Paul. In this video we are using Harrier packs. Mine is the Kinder 10 litre and I believe Stef’s is too. They are great packs. I wear a Montane Gecko now though
hi what model is your van?
Thanks for watching Aaron, the van is a Fiat Scudo
Mate where you been.....
Thanks for watching. 2023 has been packed full of adventures so I’ve got lots of videos in the bank, I just need to get my arse in gear and edit them 😂
