How good is a crows hearing? I’m wondering if it’s coincidence that the crows outside my window are mimicking your crows on tv!😆 Another great video! Thank you
I feed crows unsalted peanuts in the shell -- I crush all the shells so it's easier for them to open. I give the peanuts in the shell because they like to fly off with them
I want to say thank you for all of your hard work. You saved the lifes of all of your birds, and yes I think they are imprinted to you. So I see no problem at all, otherwise they would have died! Peach is so comfortable with you, and Peach shows to all of us how lovely and intelligent these birds are - they deserve much more attention and not only sadly be hunted! And look at Pie, the Talking Magpie - isn´t that something so amazing? She tells all others to "get ready for bed"! Dennis and Kullike, thanks for this channel, its always a joy to watch it! Greetings out of Bavaria, Germany!
This was interesting as well as informative. If any crows come by, I’ll know what they like. I’ll try some rice some time. I give the raw peanuts to the bluejays and scarecrows - as long as Mr. Squirrel doesn’t get them first! I always have a mix of seed for all the birds, but the squirrels usually mess up the feeder and it all falls to the ground. Oh well, at least the morning doves clean it up pretty well.
The wild crows get unsalted peanuts in the shell from me. It's amazing how they recognize the sound of a peanut in the shell hitting the pavement from far distance! Always enjoy watching Peach, Maple, Cherry and the magpies and Kassie too!
I feed our local birds which consists of Robins and crows usually bird seed and nuts and mealworms I also feed a fox every evening he stops by for a meal. Sometimes it’s funny as my cats chase him round the garden 😂 I love all animals they are a blessing to us all 💜
So glad to read that people are feeding UNSALTED nuts! Birds cannot excrete salt as we can, thus it is very bad for them! Just as Dennis and Kullike say 👍❤
Yet if you have a parrot they need salt. Birds are weird. Crows eat carrion in the wild among other things, I think the video is off. Only meat would be bad, but a few grams a day very good
Cashews are a big hit for all the assorted crows around our place. I put out softened dry cat food and cashews (buffet). All the Cashews were snapped up 1st!
I feed 3 crows from one nest and 2 really like the cashews and walnuts, but the other one doesn't care for that and prefers the nuts in a shell and a bit of meat.
Awe!!!! this was nice to see you all again, I love the way Peach introduces himself after you have spoken. and was nice to see Miss Maple out of her cage, Pup was also in on the act. I give the hedgehogs and foxes cat food, .I put peanuts in their shells for the squirrels as they can hide them whole, Thank you for sharing , xxx
great info , i feed 3 not so wild now magpies , they love cashews , peanuts not so much , will lessen the meat i give them as i was giving them a little cat jellymeat each day , and kibble , will now try rice etc , ty so much
sorrow came in the window one day for chinese spare ribs at dinner next day i cracked the bone open for him and he loves me now and comes everyday leaving the bones on my doorstep looks like i got a friend magpie he loves chicken to only cooked
Hey, Dennis and Kullike! How are you? I hope all is well! Sorry, I missed you last live stream. I'll catch it now. I really find this video to be very interesting! I love how in depth Kullike goes in explaining the Crows and Magpies diets. It's a lot of work caring for your Pets and you two do such a great job! Great video!
Interesting I’ve been thinking how bizarre for a few years during winter the street behind my new house 100s probably thousands of crows have been gathering in the same spot. I haven’t been able to find anything on it. Idk why they do this? It’s absolutely amazing to see
@@chv72 I’m in Ohio they stay for at least a few months when it’s really cold but since it has been really warm last winter didn’t see barely any in that spot
My adoptive dad feeds plain walnuts and peanuts to the wild crows. They come into the parking lot near his office window to signal him and wait for him to come outside.
I noticed most birds love cat kibble. thanks for the tips, I didn't know i need to soak the biscuits. It's great you look after them. why can't they be released? were they injured as babies?
How thankful to find this site,I stopped feeding a family of maggies mince when found out they get Rickets & make their wings rubbery, making it harder to fly..I enjoyed watching them forage for bugs & worms naturally..I supplied fresh water...How entertaining. They come up onto the table to greet me.I love how the babies lie on their backs for their mothers to feed them with legs in the air, when she orders..Now I know the right food,thankyou..Is soaked Whiskers Dry Cat Bicky's ok & Basmati white rice & uncooked corn ok..or does it have to be brown rice(& or organic)..I will also checkout Petstore for Wombaroo Insectivores, the Maggie supplement or is the above sufficient..I do know both my neighbours on each side of me are also feeding these Maggie's..I know one lady only gives the ocassional dog food..but who knows if the other is giving mince steak?...Are they overfed??
We like to give them the brown organic rice as it's what we eat too. I don't know if a magpie ever gets enough and if they do , then they will take off until next time.
I just saw a crow with a small bird and and small one was squealing and there was a bunch of other small birds flying around the crow trying to help the little one.
Hello! Can you help me? I found a baby magpie and it won't eat. It is a juvenile so it is scarred and denies food from me. What can I do? It's not able to feed himself thought...
You will have to force feed the bird. Wrap bird in towel and then hold with one hand while trying to gently open beak. Then push food all the way down with finger. We use moistened kitten kibble for feeding. It is hard at first but you will get use to it after a few times.
Throw Jaffa cakes out my window crows and rooks go crazy to get them , plus go out with x2 pans of mixed food , fat balls crumbled up with peanuts and many mixed up seeds one pan for ducks at reservoir over road and pan for birds but those pesky pigeons gather to , my god there eat quick and eat non stop 🛑 road kill peasants or rabbit u see many crows enjoying them for breakfast 🇬🇧🇨🇦🇬🇧🇨🇦

Another great video! Thank you
Their hearing is incredible.

Excellent.
Don't crush the shells I think, from my experience they fly off with them to hide. In the shell they stay fresh longer.

You feed peanuts to the scarecrows? 😂🤡
Peanuts is for Squirrels, lol' they love them. Squirrels are wonderul animals. I love them and miss them in my Country!

Maple seemed to enjoy patrolling the top of the cage 😃
She sure did.
So glad to read that people are feeding UNSALTED nuts! Birds cannot excrete salt as we can, thus it is very bad for them! Just as Dennis and Kullike say 👍❤
Except for marine birds such as gulls. Gulls secrete salt from a special gland near the base of the bill.
Yet if you have a parrot they need salt. Birds are weird. Crows eat carrion in the wild among other things, I think the video is off. Only meat would be bad, but a few grams a day very good
I just rescued a crow and this was extremely informative thank you very much!
Glad it was helpful!
we feed 50 plus crows daily. Maine
Wow!
I Love Crow People! ❤👍 I feed a murder of around 17 daily ( all related ) 😊
My local crows enjoy blueberries. Whenever blueberries start looking mushy but not spoiled I give them to my local pair.
Cashews are a big hit for all the assorted crows around our place. I put out softened dry cat food and cashews (buffet). All the Cashews were snapped up 1st!
Hi Lori. Yes, they love cashews very much.

I feed my crows peanuts
Hello Dennis and Kullike, the Mag Pies are were very quiet today. Nice to see you again! :-)
Nice to see your message.
What don’t they eat is a much shorter list, they eat all foodscraps that I have, I put them out and they come along and eat it up in no time

My local crows love raw peanuts, raw eggs and cherry tomatoes! I especially give raw eggs to keep them from invading the local nests.

I feed the crows that come to our back alley, and I have found that they do not like cat food, but they like dog food. 🤷🏽♂️
Yes, that is true.
The crows that live around are free loaders and that’s okay
"BARBARA O'NEIL GREAT HEALTH WATCH ENJOY 👍 ❤

You should show with the camera what you give them to eat, for the people who don't speak english very well.
Check the links out below this video in the description and you will find a feeding video showing the food.

Yes , all of the birds were rescued by us or the local wildlife rescue. Watch this video to learn more. czcams.com/video/dzz178CYwe4/video.html

Seems a shame t keep them locked up in confinement, but also good to see you saved them and feed them so well.
Yes, thanks
I love crows i have one that visted me always what can u feed them
You could give them some unsalted peanuts.

Are they in the cage always?
No, they get lots of play time out of cage but they prefer to stay in the cage.
