  • Are you trying to decide what size Gunner Kennel to get? They come in small, medium, intermediate and large. Keep in mind that the intermediate is larger than the medium (we have heard that question asked a lot!).
Here is a link to the G1 Kennel page. It is an affiliate link which means we get a small commission if you buy a kennel and this is at no cost to you! Making these videos is expensive and this helps cover some of the costs.

This is just a sizing video, if you would like to see a full review and watch us test the kennels by shooting them, dropping a log on them and throwing them from a moving truck check out this video! • Gunner Kennel Review a...
In this video we use the Gunner kennel sizing tool and measure a few dogs and see which kennel fits them best. When doing this keep in mind that Gunner recommends a very snug fit for travel. This is because the less space a dog has in the kennel, the safer they will be in an accident. That being said, we prefer a much larger size for home use so that the dog can stand up, turn around and stretch all the way out comfortably.
The bigger dog we measured fit nicely in the large Gunner G1 kennel for travel, but it was a little small for home use. The smaller dog fit perfectly in the intermediate kennel for travel, but we would use the large kennel for home use.
We like these kennels a lot and are amazed at how tough they are. When it comes to sizing, the biggest downside we see is that since they are double walled for safety, they end up being very big crates in order to be safe. The inside dimensions are not as big as you would expect when you see how large the crate is overall.

Great info! These are excellent crates, but we have a large dog, as well, and had to go with an Impact high anxiety crate with larger inside dimensions for home use.

The inside dimensions vs the outside dimensions is definitely a downside to the Gunner Kennels. Impacts are great from that standpoint! Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment!

For a full grown lab, 80-90lbs would you go large or intermediate?

Hey John! Will this be for travel or home? For travel I would probably go with a medium for maximum safety but it would be worth measuring the height and length of your pup. For home I would do a large for sure for extra comfort.
