  • These may be the older model, but they still sell them everywhere! The R41s aren’t quite as powerful as the 51s but they have plenty of sound with 35w per channel 70W total 240w peak power output.
    The sound quality is just incredible of these. The AL diaphragm compression tweeters have a unique crisp sound that you can’t mistake from others.
    Aux input. (3.5mm line in)
    Bluetooth ready.
    TV ready.
    PC ready.
    Turntable ready. (Vinyl)
    Simple setup!
    No receiver needed!
    76hz-21khz. 105.5db
    1730hz crossover (passive)
    Rear firing Port on both

    I'm looking for a pair of speakers + sub for my PC which will only be used for games, music and CZcams. Price aside are these any good as pc speakers or should I look else where? For example Klipsch promedia 2.1 which are pc speakers. I prefer the look of these but heard the highs might be fatiguing for near field.
    Do you use them for a pc at all?

    Thanks PATA, excellent review and comments. Right now I'm under info overload researching a TON of speakers recently (and a little distracted too). Long story short ... could these R-41Ms handle a refurbished TEAC AG-D9100 (120 w/channel stereo; 8 ohm), power wise at medium vol. level? Again, much obliged / kudos!

    • @04mach1speed
      @04mach1speed  Před 3 lety

      Not these ones because their is no way to bypass the built in Amp. but the non Powered version which I believe are just the R-41m or R-51m should be able to handle it. I would also look into the RP-500M and RP-150M. funny because I dont know a whole lot about speakers and audio equipment but I would assume that most Klipsch Shelf speakers should work just fine. thanks again for the words :)

    - say you have them plugged in to a TV by the digital input, USB to a laptop and also paired with bluetooth to a smartphone. do the input switch automatically when you play music from either of the inputs? or do you have to manually change it to select the one you need?
    - do they turn off automatically after some time not using them?
    thanks!

    • @04mach1speed

      thanks so much! sorry it took so long i have so many comments. yeah you have to manually switch. but it does come with a remote with the individual input options so it only takes literally 2 seconds. i dont believe their is a timer that counts down if youre not using them, but ill have to check again to see. the reason i dont know is because when im done i usually just unplug them. i probably shouldnt do this everytime, its just a habit. but like i said, ill test them again soon as possible to see if they auto turn off.

    hi..
    i'm really new in this kind of speakers but i love r-51pm and still trying to figure out which cables to plug to which part
    in your video you just plug aux cables and connect it to your phone, what about the switch.. line or phono?
    i saw another video, he got usb input from pc and then that RCA part also plugged in.. whats up with that? (he has external amp dac and something else tho)
    this is confusing

    • @04mach1speed
      @04mach1speed  Před 3 lety +1

      It’s still slightly confusing to me as sometimes as well, half the stuff on these I don’t even k ow what they do lol! I know that the phono switch is used for Vinyl players I believe and the input for the sub should be just plug and play. Yeah the line is just a fancy way of saying Aux. I’ll have to take another look when I get home but the only thing I know about the sub is that it’s just the RCA cables that I would plug into the speakers and the other end into the Sub itself. The guy that did the USB input from sub, I actually have no idea what he was doing to tell you the truth. Their are so many ways to do all this. It’s confusing to me as well. Do what I do, their is a Facebook page I like to go on called “Klipsch owners” they’ll tell you everything you need to know. I’m technically a newbie. I’m sorry I couldn’t be a bigger help :(

    Hi very informative video. I use my nokia 7 with aptx listening to lossless music through bluetooth speakers but now I want some hifi speakers in my lounge. my first thought is buying some quality speakers with bluetooth aptx but some people say the sound can be a muddy from bluetooth and I know that these have an old bluetooth receiver without aptx. but they also say an optical source is much better and I've found a device that recieves a aptx signal and converts it to optical, do you think this will make a huge difference if I bought these and use the optical device? many thanks Mark.

    • @04mach1speed
      @04mach1speed  Před 3 lety

      Funny cause you’re actually right. I only use higher quality MP3 (320kbps) or 1411kbps WAV files on these. Not a big streamer or BT user. I’ve always hardwired through optical or Aux (line in) because it’s actually very true that listening thru Bluetooth actually robs a little of the quality. Hopefully this helps and hopefully you don’t experience any either. I found that in the past if that ever happened I would just turn the volume down and wouldn’t hear it. And when I played music It stopped. That’s the bad thing, so many companies making different types of speakers and they’ll all different. I guess that has a lot to do with the amplifier built in. I think

      I just got these exact speakers today to go with my new turntable from Uturn audio. You have to have a turntable with either a built in preamp or a turntable with an external preamp to work for any audio setup including powered speakers. The rule is turntable-preamp-amplifier/receiver-speakers or turntable-preamp-powered speakers. There is no other option when hooking up your turntable to speakers. Trust me I tried running my turntable with these speakers without a preamp and it’s a no go. They’ll work fine on your tv, computer or phone without it but you need the power of the preamp to send the signal to the speakers with a turntable.

I just got a sub a couple weeks ago (R100sw) and all I did was connect the single sub port to them and they work perfectly. Klipsch took the hassle out of it by just having to connect a single line. Since the speakers have a crossover network built in, they sound incredible. I think as long as you get a klipsch sub everything should work perfectly together. I really don’t know much about audio to tell you the truth. All I know is that the highs mids and lows now blend together very well.

      Yes, you can plug this directly to your turn table. There is a built in phono preamp inside. That's what the switch on the back is for. Line in = phono preamp OFF. Phono = phono preamp ON. This feature only works on the RCA input, obviously.

      @@04mach1speed I noticed I got the R-51PMs. The highs and mids are definitely something that's not achievable with the Z906s, but I am missing the bass as expected. Movies are spectacular even without a subwoofer, having one would probably take it to the next level.
      I just hated the Z906 because I kept having to mess with the Sound Blaster Z sound card for optimal sound, it seems if I didn't have that sound card, they would sound absolutely terrible.
      Now I'm rethinking should I get the passive version (R-51M) with a separate amp/dac because the static noise even when the speakers are not playing is kind of audible.
