Super informative video!
You guys are severely underrated. Keep up the videos 👍🏻
Not a problem! Just glad to help the common people! Take care my friend.
Need some help here I have an Audi rs5 b9 what is the type of fluid I need?
Thank you for this. I was a BMW tech for a few years and I’m servicing my wife’s SQ5 (first Audi we’ve owned) and I couldn’t quite find a clear method for the center diff as far as filling. BMW is a lot more straight forward. For some reason I can’t find the procedure in the service manuals I’m able to access for the Audi.
great video.
mine is 2018 S5 Sportback, took her home on Valentines day.
Congrats on the new car! Solid engine and trans setup for sure
Hey, nice job! Where did you find workshop manual for this?
Thank you!
Do you have an instruction how to change trans. oil / ATF in rear sport differential on S5/SQ5 B9?
Thanks
Boost Dynamic Tuning This is the Center Diff right?
What fluid did you use for vehicle. I know if can be different for each VIN, but just curious.
I am trying to figure out the right one for mine. 2018 S4 non sport diff
@@robhans Call Audi and get the right stuff. That's how you know you'll get the right stuff
I would have done the transmission filter while I was there. Nice video!!
Filter at less then 10,000 miles? To each their own, but thank you. I'll be uploading filter replacement once I hit 20k.
When do you need to perform this job? At what mileage?
around 100k km
Every 50k miles
I have an Audi S1 from 2015 - can you kindly tell me what components my drive train consists of? I know I have a main 6-speed gearbox. I know I have some kind of "middle" differential, located just behind the engine, and then of course there is a rear differential. So my question is basically if the FRONT differential is an integrated part with the gearbox? I've asked the Audi dealership here in Sweden where I live, but they didn't have a clue. It's very difficult to get correct information about this, and what oils I need. According to "Castrol oil finder" the oil for the main gearbox should be a 75W-80. The AUDI dealership charges 800 SEK (80 euro/dollars) for this per liter! By the way the price for changing oil (2.3 liters) in the main gearbox is 450 €/$! Do I understand correctly that the "middle" differential/transfer case AND the rear differential use the same oil? So I wonder about that, and also if my car has a totally separated FRONT differential, or if this is integrated into the main gearbox or that "middle" thing.
I just priced 75w-90 gl4+ for the resr and 75w-85 for the front . Each was like $22 . What is the fluid part number you have
Man I can’t find any info anywhere of what fluid to use. BECAUSE ITS NOT EVEN IN THE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE shit pisses me off ima have to call audi and tell them I want the Gear oil for rear and center diff
@@93ChayZ Hey dude, I'm in the process of changing my Torsen oil too (I got the Quattro rumble), did you end up finding out what's the OEM on the oil? Thanks!
there is no replacement for Torsen oil. Only original (G055145A2)
For front diff you can use good GL 75w90 transm. fluid, for rear 75w90 LS or original G055190A2 (it is not super expensive)
@@winfle The Torsen takes a 75w90GL5 if not original fill, ravenol, redline and motul make one, The original is only for a brand new or replaced torsen, the additives in the OEM fluid is lifetime, you don't need something that strong
@@4fluxsakewhat is quattro rumble? because im struggling too, when i sharp turn and accelerate i hear some noise and little vibration doesnt matter if i turn right or left. Thanks for the answer.
How about front/rear differential fluids?
Once the car comes to that mileage, I'll be making a video.
how often should this be done?
Every 30-50k is my personal take on the flush.
Hey, what’s the fluid type ?
Go to audi and ask based off your vin. Only way to be 100% right
@@boostdynamictuning ok thanks your the man, and do you have to change this fluid at a certain mileage?
@@boostdynamictuning great video! did you use both bottles or only ended up using only one of them?
So all that work was to reach the drain plug ???
Sadly, so
It’s me again. Question. Is the RedTop Gear Oil meant for Front TransferCase? I don’t have the Sport Diff so I will definitely use the BlackTop Gear Oil for my rear diff, But since you work for Audi It would be helpful to know which Bottle goes in the TransferCase.
Best, Chase
The red top goes in the center diff (transfer case). Black goes in the front and rear diff.
@@Killian665 hey man. What fluid did you for your transfer case. I've got a 2018 S4 non sport diff. So many conflicting information out there. But Audi did recommended G 055 145 A2. Is that same as yours? Thanks Rob
