There is an older version with basically the same video but at maybe age 9-11. Amazing how she hits that low register in either version.

Just because you are beutiful doesnt mean you shouldnt make a playlist for Angelina.
This video was only up for one day on her grandmother's channel, and then it disappeared. The only reason it is still available it that a couple of fans apparently downloaded/reposted it; the video backdrop was their choice, not Angelina's. My impression at the time was that she didn't think this came out the way she wanted. It also struck me that she was working harder than usual to reach the notes she wanted.

@@James-re6co I was drunk last night and on reflection no. She is a very talented young singer but needs to create her own stuff to be anywhere near that bracket. I would put Elvis next to Mozart though. Not because he created his own music but the impact he had on culture and society.
@@tonymorph3672 What impact did Elvis have on culture and society? He helped usher in rock-n-roll, but he wasn't the only one. He was a good-looking white guy singing black music. That carried it's own taboo in the 1950's and that's what got him noticed. Elvis was a big star no doubt but he's as infamous as he is famous. He didn't write a single song, none of his films won an Oscar, and the only Grammy's he won (3) were for gospel tunes.

Hi Michal, Thank you for another AJ reaction and your very professional points.
One reactor pointed out, she weaved tiny pieces of vibrato into her earkliest performances on NGT, which seems to require a really high level of control. Later on AGTC she used fast vibrato too. In recent performances for me it got progressivly harder to even spot all those details, she's just so incredible smooth.
She also seems to have quite a background knowledge about vibrato in general as she always uses the style of vibrato that was used when the original song was published.
I've noticed her vibrato growing ever more complex with age. I can't help dragging my background in electronic communication into the discussion. Seems normal vibrato corresponds to Amplitude Modulation (higher frequency variation imposed on a low base frequency).

I remember watching this when it was first posted. Then, shortly thereafter, it was taken down for whatever reason. For quite a long time, the only source on YT was a reactor who had reviewed it. I don't know if YvT based his video on that one, or, more likely, had already begun working on his video and had the original downloaded. Her performance is stunning for someone her age. Loved your reaction, as alwyas. 👍
My video is based on Angelina's original, and as Michal said, I used a green-screen effect to add the nature scenes. The original was (as you probably remember) a vertical split screen with the lyrics on a black background and Angelina sitting in her usual _,music corner_ as seen in many of her other videos.

One of Angelina's most telling features is her ability to roll those deep, full, rich notes from her lower register. This song is a demonstration of this skill, and gives you a chance to really appreciate it.
I love that Mary's Boy Child cover by Angelina. may I say probably the best Christmassy vocal performance for me.
@@kenvo343 I think b/c it is a radio performance (without video) it is not as popular for reactors. But, I think is showcases her story-telling ability beautifully. We are not distracted by seeing a young child singing (although we can picture her in our minds) and we can get lost in the voice, with such rich tone and emotional content. It is one of my favorite Angelina performances and I have been following her daily for about 5 years and have listened to every performance that has been made available on the several channels she has (by family and friends) many times.

I enjoyed your review, and I agree the background I could do without. Just a simple painting by her grandma would've sufficed. There was a point in the song I could see Elvis' version, anyhow check it out sometime. You know, I watch her perform, I consume her performances as though she's an adult, then when waves goodbye at the end , reminds me that she's a CHILD, a gifted one at that, but still a child... I feel so lucky to still be alive and enjoy her music, snazzy jazzy!!

I heard shades of Elvis in the chorus! Did you notice that? I didn’t mind the scenery, but I agree the parachuting, etc., should have been left out. She doesn’t need anything distracting from her vocals. Thank you for your in-depth reaction!
I watched this song with Angelina a few months ago and thought the same thing. Tonight i watched Elvis's version and now watching Angelina's again I'm certain your right. I love the low notes that Angelina has sung this and that Angelina has stayed true to her own form and sung her own version, i feel the low notes may have been influenced by Elvis. By the way great reaction and i will be subscribing, loved your insight and helped. Me in understanding just how good Angelina is. I can't pick a favourite between Angelina and Elvis.😊🌏
I believe Angelina is 12 here. This was originally posted on her grandmother's cite, and taken down after a few days. The video was created by Yozhik v Tumane, and he enhanced the audio, so without his creation, none of us would be able to hear this Incredible performance. I've heard so many great versions of this wonderful song, and it was a staple in the fundamentalist church I grew up in, so we sang it often in the congregation. She takes a completely different approach than most versions that choose to belt the chorus. Even with her abbreviated version, Angelina's is now my favorite. I've probably heard it 200+ times, and every time she crescendo's on the chorus I'm brought to tears---so soft and gentle and respectful, yet powerfully emotional. Angelina is a huge Elvis fan, and I also love his version, so I'm guessing that he is her source for this song. Especially since she is singing it in the same key. And since he is a baritone, that's very hard to do for most females. If your looking for a wonderful belting version of this song, the best one out there is the Carrie Underwood/Vince Gill performance (IMO): czcams.com/video/dnvg0OtupuI/video.html They performed it at the CMA Awards, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I havn't seen the original video with the new year greeting, but video description seems to say that the nature-pictures have been added by the uploader and not by Angelina's team. (I agree that the jumping scene is distracting, but otherwise I do like the images.)
That original video was removed within a few days, so there's no way to get it now. If Yozhik v Tumane hadn't created this wonderful video with enhanced audio, none of us would be able to experience this Incredible performance of this classic song. So kudos to Yozhik.
@@wajj1842 yes, it's great that this video is now available. I just meant that the video description leaves it a bit unclear what changes Yozhik v Tumane made to the video, e.g. was only audio changed or was the whole nature-part created by Yozhik v Tumane.
@@ajplaylistsbyfan The original posting was just Angelina singing, same one we see in the lower right corner of the video Yozhik created. He enhanced the audio and created the video we now see. And the visual is far more beautiful.
I agree that the sky-diving clip might come as chock first time viewed, but I wanted to include that light from the cave opening shining down on Angelina as a spotlight from above, and it felt just weird without the preceding scene with the sky-divers.
The new-year greeting was only in the title/description of the video, which originally showed Angelina sitting in her music corner in half the screen with the lyrics on the other half.
My all time favorite version of this hymn is by Home Free. Absolutely stunning.
