I usually just use fl studio mobile. Best advice I can give is to vary note length. If it's boring when all the notes are the same, and only the time they are played is different, then it's usually going to need LOTS of variation to keep up.
A small story, yes. It's mostly just moments captured of one of my characters, Penn. There is a much bigger overall story, but the characters that push that along haven't gotten songs yet. Though I am working on one.
