      @@MrRetroswag this comment has the same energy as “don’t be depressed, just be happy”. Today’s hyper-addictive technology is quite literally designed to override your brain’s natural cues and willpower and keep you scrolling. That’s hard enough for regular people, but now we’re in the first generation of people who have grown up with technology, whose brains have literally developed in conjunction with this addictive technology and who truly do not know anything else. Now take a person who has been raised to be extremely susceptible to addictive tech, and give them a portable, durable device that is literally on their person 24/7. It’s like giving a person who has been drinking alcohol since baby bottles an infinite bottle of vodka that fits in their pocket. It is hardwired into many of us to be addicted to our screens, which is why the entire world essentially revolves around technology, and in large part specifically smart phones.
      So, here is a person who has acknowledged that they are spending too much time on their screen. They want to change and are looking for a solution that works for them. In this case, getting rid of the smart phone that enables the addiction. And what do you do? Make fun of them, and tell them not even to try their solution, because just not having an addiction is “so easy”, according to you.

This phone will do the trick for me until the LP3 and Mudita Kompkt come out..will have to decide between those two!

    I would warn your viewers there are a ton of issues with this phone according to users on reddit and Cat does not give you a warranty, ONLY T-mobile does so there is a reason this phone dropped in price. I have 30 days to try mine before I can send it back to the ebay user so I will let everyone know if I have any issues. This was the exact response I got back from Cat when I live chatted them:
    'Unfortunately, the Cat S22 Flip does not have a warranty in the US or Canada. This device is locked with T-Mobile and all warranty queries should be directed to T-Mobile'

    I am keeping my eye on this device. I do need access to gmail, google for work and school. And access to instagram chats for friends to keep in touch. But this phone still allows you to use those it seems. But would limit how much time youd want to spend on them due to acreen size.

  • @Ticket7G
    @Ticket7G Před 7 měsíci

    It's 2024, wonder if CAT will release an upgraded model of this with a slightly bigger screen, better specs and Android 12+ AND work with Verizon. I know more power may defeat the purpose of a dumb phone, but honestly? A dumb phone with powerhouse specs is something I would definitely buy.
    (unless that already exists, of which I cannot find, and also I use Verizon which does not have the largest range of compatibility)

    I switched to this after using a Kyocera DuraXT for seven years. It has not been a pleasant switch. I wish this CAT had true T9. One other frustration, though it may seem minor, is that its nearly impossible to flip open with one hand.

    Jose, this phone was selling for about $270.00 in 2021 but I see it now being sold in 2023 in the US on many web sites, even Amazon, for about $70.00, unlocked. Why the price drop? Another important question, ,Jose: what does T Mobile charge you for a monthly cell phone carrier service for the CAT S 22?

    • @JoseBriones
      @JoseBriones  Před 10 měsíci

      The phone was discontinued and due to that it got a reduction in price. The monthly cost of a T-Mobile plan ranges from 25 to $50

    I decided to go for this phone cause I don't want high-tech phones anymore, I bought this cause I don't wanna be sitting the whole on my phone, so I decided to go for such a phone to get a life loool. I'm waiting for my order to come so I switch from my Galaxy Note20 Ultra to that phone. Smartphones are taking up all our days and realized that we spend our time in front of the screen without being productive, and this is one of the biggest reasons I decided to go for that kind of phone.
