Love the Jimny. I've had a similar experience. I hated the RE Himalayan initially. But then I too rode it to Spiti. Through the Himalayas on a Himalayan. 😅 After that I just love that thing!! These machines really perform wonderfully in their natural habitats maybe!

In my opinion, Jimny is equal to Xpulse in bikes and Thar is equal to Himalayan.. Both are basically dual purpose bikes but in deep down Xpulse is more of an Enduro motocross bike which has made up to ride in normal roads whereas Himalayan is a proper tourer machine which can do decent offroading. I personally own a Himalayan 411. I have took test drive of both the cars in both terrains.

Very good decision Vivekji. Those who really know what Jimny is don't compare it to others because it's in a league of itself. What I've felt is people just want the biggest car for their money to make "road presence". But I ask, when every car on the road is an suv how will you get the road presence? Better go in a bus which is even bigger 😂. The jimny is a proper off-roader, light weight and super capable. The automatic makes it a cool city car making it an even sweeter deal. I really want a jimny in my mind but there's no need for another car here. I just can't buy it just for the sake of it. If I had to buy a new car today, it'll surely be Jimny. The discounts make the deal even better. And this car is going to be a collectible sooner or later. Wishing you happy miles with that little mountain goat. 🎉

9:43👍 oh... dude. As a jimny owner for a while i would say, it's a great car. I done some off roading and it was cool. Btw "roads now-a-days" demands this one. It's my primary car now, and don't even think of other car for my daily commute and long rides. It is really happy to run it into any terrains hazzle free and without the bottom hitting. I'd really feel MT is perfect rather than the imperfect AMT gearbox. Living with jimny makes you love it, give it to a friend to take a ride, he will book the car for sure.

Including the extended warranty I'm covered for 6yrs for the car and 8yrs for battery even though I'm very much worried. If something happens we need to fight to claim it and will lose too much time in service centers. Let's hope for the best. 🥲

Congrats bro. Atlast got to own a car from either vivekjis or JDs dream garages. Been with my boy for 7 months. Same colour too but manual zeta. Almost all short comings can be overcome with accessories or mild tunings. Only bothersome things are masssive turning radius in city and the sun visors which are completely useless in doorside direction. Also lookiut for steering wobble in high speeds. Can occur out of nowhere even in straight line just like that. Service people still clueless about any fixes. Other than that a blast to drive. Perfect roadtrip companion for India. As you said in long term review no worries about the routes or roads. Enjoy❤

Please upgrade all the halogen/incandescent bulbs from indicators to tail lamps to interior lights as LEDs. Canbus integrated error free bulbs are easily available. And yeah a proper Yellow projector fog lamp too.

@@ContentWithCars sounds a good deal 👍 Maybe you should try 225/70 R15 tyres next time, that's the correct upsize as it keeps the sidewall height much closer to stock tyres..it won't alter the handling much as the steering isn't sharp anyway But, I think it might be difficult to get 225 in 15"

My father always wanted a Gypsy, but when we were getting our first car, Ma strictly said no to the Gypsy (rightfully so) and he bought an 800. In my opinion, Jimny is equal to Xpulse in bikes and Thar is equal to Himalayan.. Both are basically dual purpose bikes but in deep down Xpulse is more of an Enduro motocross bike which has made up to ride in normal roads whereas Himalayan is a proper tourer machine which can do decent offroading. I personally own a Himalayan 411.
I have took test drive of both the cars in both terrains.
On the contrary, Jimny having better ride quality will be better in long drives

Very good decision Vivekji. Those who really know what Jimny is don't compare it to others because it's in a league of itself. What I've felt is people just want the biggest car for their money to make "road presence". But I ask, when every car on the road is an suv how will you get the road presence? Better go in a bus which is even bigger 😂. The jimny is a proper off-roader, light weight and super capable. The automatic makes it a cool city car making it an even sweeter deal. I really want a jimny in my mind but there's no need for another car here. I just can't buy it just for the sake of it. If I had to buy a new car today, it'll surely be Jimny. The discounts make the deal even better. And this car is going to be a collectible sooner or later. Wishing you happy miles with that little mountain goat. 🎉

As a jimny owner for a while i would say, it's a great car.
I done some off roading and it was cool. Btw "roads now-a-days" demands this one. It's my primary car now, and don't even think of other car for my daily commute and long rides. It is really happy to run it into any terrains hazzle free and without the bottom hitting. I'd really feel MT is perfect rather than the imperfect AMT gearbox.
Living with jimny makes you love it, give it to a friend to take a ride, he will book the car for sure.

3. Mileage is available than Thar
4. Service Available in plenty
5. Easy to Drive in City
6. Even though it's Boxy but IT'S a Good 4X4
Thar 5 door is coming (entry to back seat will be more easy ) , and current thar diesel has better fuel efficiency than jimny

Including the extended warranty I'm covered for 6yrs for the car and 8yrs for battery even though I'm very much worried. If something happens we need to fight to claim it and will lose too much time in service centers. Let's hope for the best. 🥲
There is no way an auto enthusiast can stay away from an attractive offer when it's a jimny.. a must have.. i believe its a vehicle that can keep us grounded in the middle of chaotic technology obsession.. and I still drive a 22 Yr old gypsy..so definitely my natural choice for upgrading

Congrats bro. Atlast got to own a car from either vivekjis or JDs dream garages. Been with my boy for 7 months. Same colour too but manual zeta. Almost all short comings can be overcome with accessories or mild tunings. Only bothersome things are masssive turning radius in city and the sun visors which are completely useless in doorside direction. Also lookiut for steering wobble in high speeds. Can occur out of nowhere even in straight line just like that. Service people still clueless about any fixes. Other than that a blast to drive. Perfect roadtrip companion for India. As you said in long term review no worries about the routes or roads. Enjoy❤

My 2 cents on upgrades. Please upgrade all the halogen/incandescent bulbs from indicators to tail lamps to interior lights as LEDs. Canbus integrated error free bulbs are easily available. And yeah a proper Yellow projector fog lamp too.

@@ContentWithCars Headlights alone being LEDs isn't justice to being properly retro. Better make it a modern retro by changing bulbs without replacing the entire housing of the lights. More of a functional upgrade rather than aesthetics.

Maybe you should try 225/70 R15 tyres next time, that's the correct upsize as it keeps the sidewall height much closer to stock tyres..it won't alter the handling much as the steering isn't sharp anyway
