    Looks good! But i hope the audio quality is also good?! Normally its is only high frequency andso you dont hear normal voice good enough and you have to set the volume so high that it is painfull for your ears. :-(

      Considering the 10B is based off of Sena SMH5 specs, we'd expect their audio performance to be on a similar level. Though we haven't had a chance to test the 10B or 20B just yet, considering past tests with Sena speakers we'd expect the speakers to have a good level of volume output though the Sena speakers we've tested are normally skewed towards higher frequencies and sometimes have trouble producing a clear bass. Nonetheles, the 10B will be more of an entry system, so we'd expect improved audio quality in the HJC 20B, which is based on the Sena 20S.
      Though not the 10B, you can check out our test of a set of Sena speakers here: czcams.com/video/jZox7xdabuY/video.html

    I think it's important to mention, this set does not work with Siri. Doesn't listen to "Hi Siri ..." commands. I'm quite disappointed. Apart from that it's good for phone calls and music if button-operated.

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 4 lety

      Unfortunately, the HJC 10B does not seem to support Google Assistant or Siri voice commands, since this is a feature often found in more advanced communicators like the Sena 50R or 50S. However, the 20B does allow you to give voice commands to the system, so you may be able to access Google assistant through this. Thanks for the question!

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 4 lety +2

      @@lowspeed2000 The function was a bit too well hidden by Sena in this case, but we've gone back and tested it out again. To use your Google Assistant, you need to hold the center button for 3 seconds until you hear a tone, after which you can give your command. Before you do this though, you also need to make sure that the relevant permissions for Google Assistant in your phone are also enabled.

    Okay, why shoud I pick this instead of SMH5 FM, which is cheaper and also has FM radio? Are the estetics worth that?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 lety

      The main reason would be the direct integration. This would ensure that the profile of the helmet is better preserved (which also has a positive impact on safety) and that the speakers will fit as comfortably as possible into the pockets on either side. If you're looking for FM radio, this is also a feature included in the 20B communication system, though it will still be coming above the SMH 5 in price.

      What are your thoughts on the Smart HJC system?

    • @yoco93cro
      @yoco93cro Před 3 lety +1

      @@Championhelmets Thank you for your answer. HJC smart is obviously going to be bought exclusively by the owners of HJC helmets, so instead of making it a good-priced bonus feature if you choose HJC, they make it overpriced. I would consider 10B if it had FM Radio (which is possible for a version of SMH5, so I don't see why it isn't for 10B), but if I compare it too f.e. Cardo Freecom 2+ which at the similar price is waterproof, has an FM Radio, better battery and other options, the winner is clear to me. Btw. I am looking for a dual intercom for two HJC F70 helmets for pillion riding.

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 lety +1

      @@yoco93cro The FM radio is definitely a sticking point on the 10B, especially considering the range of other communicators offering other high end features such as the Cardo. The Freecom 2+ is offered in a dual intercom package, and since it is bringing those strong features, that would probably be the best option given what you're hoping to use it for. Alternatively, if you're looking to just communicate with your pillion, then the Freecom 1+ Duo also offers a similar set of features.

    I may need to ride in the rain for a long time sometimes, will this be good for my case?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 lety +2

      The HJC smart 20B is not certified as waterproof, but it is water resistant. This means it should stand up to some tougher conditions, though the safest option would be a fully waterproof system like a Cardo.

      @Skeware Před 3 lety

      @@Championhelmets Thanks for the info. I am this close to buy a HJC helmet but I'm having doubts about this device... I do think the cardo Pactalk Slim has better specifications though... and I have the impression that the new HJC helmets prepared for the 20B aren't compatible with the Packtalk Slim, right?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 lety

      While the Cardo Packtalk Slim does come with more advanced all around specs, the only issue is that the HJC Smart prepared helmets make it very difficult to fit the Packtalk Slim's battery pack. The reason for this is that the space at the back of the helmet where the battery usually sits is now taken up by the slot for the Smart HJC's battery. Though it may be possible to find a work around for this, it may be a challenge. Though another alternative would be the Cardo Packtalk Bold, which does not have the battery issue.

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 lety +1

      Once paired with another system, you can enter intercom mode by tapping the center button once. If you have more than one intercom friend paired, then you can switch between them by double tapping for the second friend, triple tapping for the third, and so on. To turn off the intercom, you then tap the center button once more. You can also learn more in the Smart HJC 10B manual.

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  Před 3 lety

      The HJC Smart compatibility feature is currently restricted to HJC's new models. So, since the RPHA 70 Carbon is the only new entry into the RPHA touring line, the carbon version received the Smart compatibility. This also allows for greater flexibility for riders since the RPHA 70 allows riders to install their Cardo Packtalk Slims much more easily than the Smart HJC prepared helmets.
