  • Did you know Fed Square is built on top of a giant trampoline? It’s easy to forget that Melbourne’s biggest train nexus is right underneath Fed Square - and the engineering ingenuity of how the square absorbs a city’s worth of rumbling vibrations is as fascinating as it is unbelievable.
This is the second episode of our new mini-doco series which shines a light on some of our favourite stories of Fed Square and the fascinating features that make our precinct anything but square! All episodes can be found here: bit.ly/35R1TaZ

World-class art galleries and installations. A diverse range of food and drink. Thrilling, extraordinary events that capture the hearts of Melburnians year after year. Fed Square is anything but square. Since opening in 2002, Fed Square has seen more than 100 million visits and been named the 6th Best Public Square in the World. Frankly, we’re slaying out here and it’s nice to be recognised.

Absolutely love these Fed Square mini docs. I hope you also release a full length documentary about the history, design and construction of Fed Square! This landmark is such an important cultural site... it’s so important that the story of how it came to be is shared
