Great job! Thank you.
Great video 👍💯
Thanks mate, glad you liked it, thanks for dropping by.
You mentioned your robot lawn mower, I think we need a review video of that! 😜
haha yeah, thought about it, but I really don't use it much, so not sure I am in the best position to review that thing 😅
Great video. Quick tip, try to get the voice in both channels, I can berly hear you in my right ear.
Great video! Just what I was looking for👍🏻I have a 5ft by 50 ft strip. How well do u recommend the side strip? I just tried the 2000 but I get a bit too much over spray onto my fence. Thx you
I actually changed the side strip for a 2000, the side strip wasn't that great to be honest. Go with a 2000 and lower the range? Or go with a 1000 i would say. Thanks alot for watching man, really appreciate it :D
@@SamsLawn awesome thx you so much for your feed back 👍🏻
I am very excited to give this a try on my property! Since I’m in the USA, are there any systems similar to this that you would recommend?
Hey Nick, good question, actually forgotten to add the Quick-snap from the US I am trying to replicate. Since you guys don´t seem to be able to get hold of Gardena stuff that easily I would buy the quick-snap ones. Pretty much what I am trying to achieve, without the fuss of having to build it yourselves. I saw a video of Quick-snap and it looked so easy, unfortunately no one in Europe seems to sell them and the shipping from US was just too much, hence this DIY build. Otherwise I would just try the Quick-snaps, not sure if you could change the heads to Hunters on those, but you should I would Imagine. I added the link to it in the description. If you try them, let me know how they work out :)
I’ll let you know! Thanks for the link!
New sub here. Interested on how lawncare is different in Sweden.
Hey man, thanks for watching. Hopefully I can show you how we usually to things in Sweden. I think the biggest difference is that we don't use herbicides and fungicides since they are all illegal here for homeowners. Next year I'm killing of my lawn and glyphosate is also illegal to use from this year so we'll see how I manage to kill it off :)
Remember to blow out the sprinkler head with pressurized air before you freeze for the winter. I have a feeling there may be some water left in the heads even though you remove the hose. Best of luck!
Yeah, will do that for sure, thanks for reminding me mate. 👍🏼🙏
Never had sprinklers before so it's all new to me.
Thank for this idea, I just ordered everything please give a update on winter outcome because I live in Midwest with harsh winter snow
Hey Lance, sounds nice, let me know how it works out. I have a video coming out showing how to winterize in a DIY way :) first time for me I have to do any winterizing since I haven't had an irrigation system. Hope it works :D
@@SamsLawn is your swing are 6 inches or 12 inches, I just bought 6 inch swings arms and I am wondering if this will be too short ?
@@lance8280 I bought the 12 inch, gives more flexibility to set the hose correctly, but I think the 6 inch should work just fine, try one out before you change them I would say
@@SamsLawn thanks I just bought the 12 inch and will be returning 6 inch just think that might work out better. I also heard you say you are watering your grass but not sure if you have timers set up, I love my water timers so I don’t have to water manually
@@lance8280 no timers, but I wish I had, would make it alot easier. Maybe I'll upgrade next season :)
Can you link that Y hose quick connector you have on the corner? I can't find them anywhere, but perhaps I'm searching for the wrong thing.
Hey Andrew, sure thing, thanks for reminding me, must have forgotten. I'll update the links. Hope Swedish Amazon links work for you. Thanks for watching, appreciate it.
The spray length is that equal to a radius or a diameter? When it says the t 200 can spray 5-8 m, is that up to 8 m in one direction or only half of that?
I believe it's 5-8 m in all directions
Hi, would you consider rotors instead of the mp rotators in your scenario? How did you decide to go with the mp instead? Also, what would you do different if you were to start over again? I'm really interested. Thanks!
Hey mate, well I chose these because they could handle low water pressure better than other kinds of sprinklers, with this kind of setup the water pressure really goes down for each head you add to it. If I were to do it again I would maybe consider getting a different head altogether, maybe one that could handle larger areas instead, then I could have a system with fewer heads instead. That's the downside of MP rotators, you require a lot of them to get 100% coverage.
@@SamsLawnvery useful, thanks a lot
How did it hold up ? still working ?
Hey Vytautas, they are, I had to dig up 3 of them since I installed a new cable for the robomower, but they are still working just fine. But I think this solution would be perfect for smaller lawns, mine is too big, need more sprinkler heads to get good coverage. We'll see if I get more or maybe install a full irrigation system.
Did you figure out how to empty it for water before winter?
I used a normal bicycle pump and an attachment for pumping pools to get it out, not the most traditional but it worked :D
@@SamsLawn do have a link for the attachment?
@@petermuhligchristensen6588 it's like the attachments that you can see on the picture here www.biltema.se/fritid/friluftsliv-och-camping/luftmadrasser/dubbelverkande-luftpump-2000033972?gclid=CjwKCAjw9-KTBhBcEiwAr19igwLqpepmcE03CtN-3RXXNI0OD0Sdpaa58cJmclyhufVz7GxzHD_0eBoCVaUQAvD_BwE
let me know if the link turns up, sometimes youtube takes away comments with links automatically
@@SamsLawn perfect! We even have Biltema here in Denmark as well. Do you use anything to protect the part of the connector that are sticking up from the lawn? I mean to protect from dirt and so on.
did you just run this off an outdoor tap?
Hey Craig, yep, just a normal outdoor tap, the pressure was enough for 3 heads not more, so I have divided everything into sections with no more than 3 heads. Not the most optimal solution but I wanted to try it out :)
@@SamsLawn thanks for the quick reply, going to give it a go. Great video, thanks again!!
what was the total cost of the build?
Hey, not sure, did't really keep track of everything, but I think closer to 150 dollars or 140 euros, the connectors from Gardena is the expensive part.
