    Could you do a video the throttle linkage? I'm little confused why there is a spring there?

    • @b-luv339
      @b-luv339 Před 3 lety

      The spring is so the linkage does not bind after applying full brake. It just ensures that the throttle doesn’t open up when the servo is returning to neutral.

    I just got my first nitro rc car. I bought it second hand but the guy said it was running and showed proof. I’m going to prime the engine and realise no fuel is running through the lines. I was using the finger over the exhaust method. It is a pull start Hyper 7 TQ

    • @S.carr.c
      @S.carr.c Před 3 lety

      Extro pull the line of the exhaust that is going to the fuel tank and give it full throttle and blow into the line going to tank from the exhaust and it will push fuel from tank to carburetor

    • @TheRCBiker
      @TheRCBiker  Před 3 lety

      yes, as sebi said below, remove back pressure line from exhaust and blow into it. There's probably just an air lock.

    Got a question for everyone. White writing on a nitro engine cooling head. Over time it's become discoloured, but not the head itself. I've always kept the temps about 100c or lower. Has the head got too hot, or would the writing have become discoloured through any temp range and use? I've ran a good 1.5 gallons fuel through the engine since new.

    • @TheRCBiker
      @TheRCBiker  Před 3 lety +1

      That is quite normal, it is most likely nitro fuel and oil spillages have just worn the writing off over time. Likely to be unrelated to heat

    I have a new Hyper 7 TQ2. Turned it on this morning and the steering servo went full left lock. It does not respond to the transmitter. If I swap the servo wiring, the throttle works the steering fine but then the throttle servo goes max. I have tried rebinding with no luck. Any ideas as this is driving me mad. Car is unusable at the minute. With the receiver wired correctly, if I press the channel 3 button on the transmitter the steering servo then goes opposite lock. So Channel 2 is being operated by channel 3? Very weird.

      Is the engine new? It is normal for engines to get stuck at Top dead centre (when the piston reaches the top of the cylinder) when they have lots of compression, but not usually on a small .18 engine though. Are you sure it's not flooded?
