When Lex said "head voice" I have been thinking something like that this whole time, its like the first parts of the song are what she is telling us but then the bridge part seems like what she is going through in her own head over and over (the overlays/echos and the memory flashbacks etc)

She was underage he is 19 she was 17 he promised her he would wait for her which was the wrong move I mean if you're going to date somebody else don't promise a woman that you're going to wait for them that's where he went wrong other than that I don't see nothing wrong with him dating someone else and not her especially because he can go to jail for being underage teen and yes Sabrina Carpenter made a song called skin but the song was not towards Olivia it was towards her haters because she got death threats from people for dating Joshua which is so unnecessary it's hard to judge any of them because all three of them are really good artists all three of them were on Disney channel shows and all three of them are really good people they just are in a messed up situation because the media knows how to twist things and make everybody look bad the only one that should be judging is God heck I was cheated on multiple times by my first ex before I got with my boyfriend now and my first ex cheated on me with my best friend and I told her straight up I forgave her I have no grudges towards them at all but then again I wasn't in love with him I loved him but it wasn't in love he raped me and he's in jail now because he was apparently 21 years old when I was 14 15 years old he looked 16 17 years old even was registered in highschool so he lied the only thing that hurt me was my best friend sleeping with him after I told her he was abusive and he raped me she didn't care I was also hurt because he laid his hands on me now that I got a good man who treats me like a queen and loves me and shows me what real Love is I have no anger at all I leave the judgment to God the past is the past everyone needs to worry about their life and their situation not worry about other people's relationships what they're going through unless they ask for help or feel like they need to help

The "blonde girl" decided to send Olivia a response to this song that I found to be really... just... unnecessary. The song is called Skin by Sabrina Carpenter.
Edit: also, Olivia released another song today titled Deja Vu that could very easily tie-in to all this as well.

I promise you Sabrina Carpenter didn't write a song about this girl and was ready to release it not even 2 weeks after driver's license, the process is way longer especially for artists on a label. Her song isn't about Olivia.

Ok, just before anyone else pulls up to this post to correct me on anything - My reasonings come strictly from Sabrina's line "maybe blonde was the only rhyme", the timing of her songs release and the many, many other people who made the same assumptions that I did. It's not an asinine or off-the-wall take to say that Skin is a response to Driver's License and/or the uproar that took place within the fandoms of these girl's after it was released. I don't have any issue with Sabrina or her song, it's simply that when I first heard it, it came across as an 'unnecessary' clap-back to a hardly significant one-liner in Olivia's song. Anyone outside of these fandoms who don't indulge in or follow these girl's on social media would think (and have thought per the many reactions to Skin available on CZcams) that it all relates somehow. I'm not trying to spread "false information", but considering neither artist has come forward to blatantly say that what people were discussing about these songs is absolutely false, the music they release is up for interpretation just like any art form is. It's just my opinion and I should have stated that in my original post instead of presenting my post as a fact and I apologize for that. I'm not here to diminish or speak ill of either one of these girls - they are both very talented and do excellent work within their craft. I mentioned Skin to Brad & Lex because they're a CZcams reaction channel that I watch every day and I'm interested in their opinion and their take on the situation that undeniably took place during Skin's release because of the song they are listening to in this reaction video. That's all.
Ever since I watched Bo Burnham’s skit about how a lot of love songs in Hollywood are generic and have no descriptors so that they reach a broader audience that people think they can relate to, I can’t take these type of songs seriously anymore. But that’s just me.
For a lack of better comparisons, it’s like how NF will talk about his chick, how they met, the things they related with each other about, and the feelings they have when they fight-and then you’ve got songs like this where it’s like, “I got my drivers license and couldn’t drive with you bc we broke up” and every kid who’s had a relationship before they got their license is supposed to fawn over it because “omg same”
just never made sense to me.

In my opinion, I don’t like this song. It’s a little too slow for me, I don’t want it to be fast like a hype party song, but I also dont want it to be too slow to the point where I go to sleep.
But if an exaggeration but I get it slow ballad ARENT for everyone
