      So I can rent a scooter in my 14 days vacation for 980?
      I don't need to bring my scooter on flight to japan? Am I allow to?
      Are the scooters available everywhere when needed?

    Great advice on traffic rules when you’re on an electric scooter in Japan. Thanks for making this video!

    5:10 Actually, if the speed limit of the road is up to 40km/h, you can ride on the road up to 20km/h. But if the speed limit is higher than 40km/h, you cannot ride on the road. In this case, you should ride on the sidewalk, at the speed limit of 6km/h.

    Very much informative!..How to buy these kind of vehicle in japan ?

    • @JapanReality
      @JapanReality  Před 6 měsíci

      I can’t speak too much on purchasing one but if you look up 電動キックボード購入 (Dendou Kikkubo-do Kounyuu) or electric scooter purchase in English on google, a couple stores immediately popped up.
      One thing to note is that if the scooter’s max speed is 15 km/h, you do not need any certification. If it’s over 15 km/h, you need a license plate and other certifications, but the store should help you out. Good luck!

    Do you know if we can bring the scooter on the trains?

      Hello! Unfortunately, no.
      Scooters and bikes cannot be taken on the train unless they are in a carry case.

    last time i was in town i wasn't allowed to ride one without a japanese driver's license, looks like they changed the rules. so i can bring it anywhere a bike can go as long as i go slow?

    • @JapanReality
      @JapanReality  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes! Up until recently you did need a Japanese driver’s license but this time, as long as you have a valid passport or residence card, you can ride!
      However, scooter rules are separate from a bicycle such as not being allowed to ride on the sidewalk.

    Great video! My friend is a complete beginner at riding these and does not have a license in their country of residence either. Do you need a license/international permit to ride these around ? We are visiting Tokyo for a trip and want to explore Shinjuku area for a day, is there no one day pass ?

    • @JapanReality
      @JapanReality  Před 6 měsíci

      You just need some valid ID, most likely your passport!
      The rate is based on how long you use it. The rate is changing based on my pinned comment, so no day passes unfortunately.

    Just wondering, can foreigners sign up for the monthly subscription? Or do we need to be local and stuff to do it? Thanks a lot!

      Howdy! I just tried applying and it only confirmed that I had a valid credit card but it didn’t ask me for an address so I believe it’s possible!
