***DONT TRY ANY EXPENSIVE REPAIRS until you’ve tried this...MUST READ*** I have a 2013 Dodge Durango RT w/ 69k miles with same problem. My vehicle had the recall remedy performed at some point before I bought it where the dealership installed an external fuel pump relay (Omron G8JN-1C6T- F-R-DC12 2635A11 is on the remedy part they installed). I was really dreading a fuel pump replacement thinking there was no way the part the dealership installed as part of the recall remedy would fail. I tried a fuel additive thinking maybe there was sediment or something in line. I also tried the ignition resetting steps as stated in other forums/threads without much success. As a last ditch effort in an attempt to avoid facing the reality of a fuel pump replacement, I pulled out the fuel pump relay from my 2005 Dodge Magnum RT as I figured since both were 5.7L Hemis it was worth a shot. Even though the part #s were different, the Durango started right up. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fluke so I removed the Magnum one from the Durango, re-installed the recall remedy replacement one, & the Durango wouldn’t start. I then re-installed the Magnum one into the Durango & it started right up again. This proved the recall rememdy replacement was defective. After going round & round with the dealership that the recall remedy replacement part failed & that the part/repair/tow should be performed for free they told me they were out of stock & it would be atleast 3days before they could even get the part in & then I could schedule an appt for the repair but no guarantee of same day service. My family could not go a minimum of 3days without the Durango so I asked if they had the one from the Magnum instock. They did & instead of dealing with the service/parts dept anylonger & having to catch rides back/forth I just went home & did the repair myself. It’s been about a month now & the Durango is starting right up every time without any issues with the part that is for the Magnum. So if your dealership doesn’t have the Durango one, see if they have the Magnum one. The info from the Magnums part bag reads: “0472 7370 AA - 002” I hope this info helps someone with the issues many of us are having weather we’ve had the recall remedy performed or not.

Had the exact same issue, I purchased a 2012 Durango RT, recall had already been performed for the fuel pump relay. Went ahead and changed the relay and problem continued. Took it back to the dealership and diagnosed it with low battery, had the battery changed and the issue was resolved. Hope this helps someone out. Also check your key fob battery because the same thing will happen if it doesn’t read it.

This just happened with my 2013 Dodge Durango. I had a recall in 2015 for the fuel pump relay but had never actually had an issue. It’s 2018, I go to start it and this bull hockey happens! What worked was to quick pump the brake 3-5 times and then it started. It turned over weakly but did start and I was one way to the dealership!
Get it there and the dealer can barely get it restarted. Says they’re seeing the problem start to trickle back into the dealership and they’ve identified it’s one wire from the repaired fuel pump relay that’s causing the problem.
Lesson: Even if you’ve already had the fuel pump relay fixed on your own dime or done as part of a recall, it may be acting up again.

The same thing happened to my mom's 2013 Durango. She was driving in rush hour traffic and the car suddenly just died in the middle of the road and we had to get it towed to the dealership. It was the fuel pump relay switch.

Check the keyless module in the very rear of the vehicle, underneath the rear hatch latch cover. 2 little wires on a tiny Molex to a small black module. if it's unplugged, broken, or shorted-out, the Push to Start button and touch Door to unlock the Front doors WILL NOT WORK!!! A functioning battery in a functioning proximity-key is also needed.

Could you please elaborate more on this? I am having the same issue. I have Durango 2013 and recently had it cleaned internally. Not sure what the cleaners did but they messed up something after which the Keyless entry and Button push start won't work. The car will start fine with the key. I brought the car to the agency and they did some computer tests on it, but even they are not able to figure out the cause. Can you tell me where the rear hatch latch cover is? Are you talking about the cover on the inner side of the liftgate?

Said my thermostat is sticking open also. Not to mention the Cowl on the thing is bad and vibrates like an oversized bumblebee. The total cost of repair for my 2013 Dodge Durango with only about 60,000 miles which I bought with 40 miles on it and have had trouble every since........ Over $2000.00. I say the devil is a lie.
